Chapter 45: Chapter 45

Where do you most like to live?

<Azaria>

We wandered around the city of Croatia, and the cousins were arguing about what to do next.

"How about we eat first?" Xyrile suggested.

"Stupid, we ate before leaving the condo. Let's go to Diocletia's Palace," he added.

"You two are so chaotic! Let's just go to Finland!" Charles exclaimed.

"Let's go shopping first," Ysabelle suggested.

"Let's explore the Palace first, we can eat later," Xyrile insisted.

"How are you, Azaria?" Keith asked me as he stood by my side.

I glanced at Lanvin, who had an angry look on his face as he kept an eye on his cousin. I decided to tease him.

"I'm good, how about you? Why didn't you bring your girlfriend?" I asked, not even sure if he had one.

"How did you know I have a girlfriend? Are you a fan of mine?" He joked.

I chuckled at his remark.

I was about to answer when Lanvin suddenly spoke.

"Don't you have other women to pester, huh?" He asked with a stern tone.

"Don't tell me you're jealous of your cousin?" I couldn't believe he was getting jealous over his own cousin.

"Who wouldn't be? And you keep on talking to Xyrile!" He glared at me.

"Don't talk to my cousin; they are just playful," he threatened.

I laughed at his jealousy. He can be adorable when he's jealous, even of his own cousins. It seems like they're all playful and teasing.

"Why are you getting jealous of your cousins? And is it wrong to talk to them?" I asked him.

"We shouldn't have come with them," he grumbled.

I got up and told them I needed to use the restroom. Lanvin insisted on coming with me, and I protested, but he wouldn't leave my side.

"Let's just wait here, I'll go to the restroom alone," I assured him.

"Do you think I'll let you go alone? We are not in our own country," he replied, sounding angry.

"You're not in your country, mister," I reminded him.

As we walked, it was crowded and noisy. I almost got lost in the crowd, and it was hard to find the restroom. But Lanvin stuck close to me.

"I can handle myself; you don't have to worry," I said to him.

"I don't give a shit!"

We finally reached the restroom, and I went in. As I was coming out, I accidentally bumped into someone, and his drink spilled on his shirt.

"Sorry," I apologized.

"Shit! You stupid woman!" He yelled angrily.

I trembled in fear as he shouted at me.

"I'm sorry; I didn't mean it," I said, trying to wipe his shirt, but he pushed me away.

"Don't touch me, whore! My shirt is more expensive than your life!" He yelled, and I was terrified.

"My husband has a company; I'll pay for your shirt," I said, trembling.

But then, he pulled out a gun and pointed it at me.

"I'm a mafia boss. I want your life as payment."

Before he could shoot, Lanvin suddenly appeared and punched the man. Chaos ensued as the people around us started yelling and shouting.

"L-Lanvin!" I called out as he fought back.

He managed to punch the man again, and they continued fighting.

"Putangina!"

"Let's go!" Keith came up to me and pulled me away from the commotion.

I saw Charles and Xyrile joining the fight against the man.

"Keith, they might get hurt!" I said, worried about Lanvin and his cousins.

"They can handle it. Let's go back to the hotel."

"What's happening? Why are people screaming?" Ysabelle asked.

Keith pulled us towards the exit as the people around us started panicking and shouting. I was scared, but I felt relieved that Lanvin and his cousins were taking care of things.

Once we were in a taxi and on our way back to the hotel, I was still worried about Lanvin and his cousins.

"Don't worry, my cousins will be alright," Ysabelle reassured me with a smile.

I wondered why they didn't seem afraid for their cousins' lives like I did. They were so calm and relaxed.

Back at the hotel, I was alone in the room as I waited for Lanvin to come back. It had been two hours, and he hadn't answered my calls.

I was getting more anxious with each passing minute.

Finally, the door opened, and Lanvin walked in without any visible injuries, but his eyes were full of anger.

"Where were you?" I asked.

He just glared at me. He looked fine, but he was clearly upset.

"I'm going to take a shower," he said coldly and went to the bathroom.

I was worried about him, but I didn't want to upset him more by asking too many questions.

After his shower, he came out, still looking angry.

"What's wrong? Why are you so angry?" I asked, concerned.

"You're making me mad, wife," he said softly.

I tried to talk to him, but he seemed to be in a bad mood and wouldn't say much.

Eventually, we went to bed, but I couldn't help feeling uneasy about the events of the evening.

As I lay awake, I heard the door open again. It was Lanvin. He looked fine, but his eyes were full of anger. I was relieved to see him, but also worried about why he was so upset.

He didn't say anything as he got into bed, and I didn't dare ask. I just hoped that everything would be okay.

“H-hubby-”

"I fucking told you that I'll go with you! Why the fuck did you go without me, huh! Look what happened!" He shouted loudly, veins popping on his neck.

His fists clenched, and his eyes were piercing.

"H-hubby..." I said fearfully, trying to calm him down.

"What if he killed you! What if I arrived late, Azaria, huh!" He yelled, full of anger and fear in his eyes.

"Motherfucker! If I didn't find you on time, your dead body would be lying on the floor!"

"I'm s-sorry," I said fearfully, tears welling up in my eyes. I tried to fight them back, but I was scared of him. He was frightening.

"Are you even thinking, huh! Damn it, Azaria, when will you listen to me! All I fucking think about is you, why the hell do you love to make me worried! When will you listen to me, huh! Fuck! Azaria, tell me!"

"Sorry. Sorry... sorry," I kept apologizing.

"Just a second, Azaria. Just one second late, and you could have been dead. Do you want to kill me with worry, huh!"

His eyes were searching, his jaw clenched tightly, and his fists tightly balled up. He looked like he was ready to explode with anger.

I hugged him, and he started crying.

"Tangina!"

"Sorry, hubby... I didn't know it would happen that way."

He broke away from my embrace.

"We'll go home tomorrow," he said coldly, wiping my tears.

"Hubby, I'm sorry. I won't do it again," I cried, pleading with him.

"Please," I hugged him tightly again.

He let go of my embrace, but this time, I didn't want to let go.

He cupped my face, his eyes still angry, but filled with concern and fear.

"Please, stop making me worried," he pleaded, his voice breaking.

"Tangina, I don't know what to do with you," he said weakly.

"Have a rest. We'll go to the airport tomorrow morning," he said coldly.

My shoulders slumped at his words. He seemed angry.

"Can't we stay here longer?" I asked hopefully. I wanted to stay longer; going back home is stressful, and I don't have anything to do there.

He didn't respond to my question.

"Are you still angry?" Instead of answering, he changed the subject.

"Get some rest. I'll wake you up early in the morning. You still have five hours of sleep."

I felt sad with his responses. It seemed like he was still angry.

I didn't know if I fell asleep or not because I could still hear everything around me. I thought we were leaving early in the morning? Now he's only packing our things.

I woke up at ten in the morning, and it looked like he was sleeping.

He seems serious about going back because he's already packing our stuff.

I thought we were leaving early in the morning? Now he's only packing our things.

"We're flying back to the Philippines after lunch," he informed me coldly. His voice made me shiver.

I could feel the coldness in his treatment towards me. We didn't talk much until we met his cousins in the dining hall.

"You two are so quiet. It's a miracle that Lanvin didn't drag you, Azaria," Keith teased.

I just played with my food while Lanvin drank tequila.

"You're so silent. I bet you don't have any more fights with your wife, Lanvin," Charles joked.

Lanvin just gave him a cold stare while his hand rested on my thigh. I looked at him, but he ignored me.

"I'm not in the mood," he said icily.

"Sus! You just had a fight!" Xyrile teased.

"We're going home; we won't be able to join you in Finland," Lanvin announced, making me feel sad.

I wanted to go with his cousins.

"Let's just leave him; anyway, he's so grumpy," Charles joked.

"Why are you like that? You don't have any work to go back to anyway," Xyrile replied.

"We've been busy with our lives, and this is the first time we've gone on an outing again," Keith said as he took a bite of his food.

Ysabelle pouted.

"Kuya Lanvin, please come with us to Finland? Pretty please? It won't be fun if we're missing one," Ysabelle pleaded, hugging Lanvin's arm, but he ignored her.

"Is this because of what happened last night, that's why you're going home?" Ysabelle asked.

The three guys exchanged glances.

"That's why we're flying to Finland. We fought a Mafia boss yesterday, what the fuck!" Charles exaggerated.

"But we settled the issue, and he's now my business partner," Xyrile said, looking proud.

"Azaria, don't you want to come with us?" Keith asked me.

"Your husband is such a killjoy; he might as well go home alone to the Philippines," Charles joked.

"I booked our flight; we'll leave in two hours," Lanvin confirmed.

"Lanvin, can we go with them?" I asked hopefully.

"No," was his firm reply.

"Tangina!" Xyrile reacted.

"Just let him be. Forget what happened last night," Keith said, taking another bite of his food.

"Can I stay with them, kuya? Since you're such a party pooper," Ysabelle joked.

"That's a good idea," Charles added.

"Hubby, please?" I pleaded with him and held his hand.

He sighed.

"Promise me that you'll listen to me," he said seriously.

I nodded at him.

"I'll try- I mean, I'll listen to you."

He pulled my head closer and kissed my forehead.

His cousins laughed.

"There goes another kissy moment!" Xyrile teased.

I smiled and blushed at their teasing.

"I'll cancel our flights," Lanvin said, taking out his iPhone.

"Make up already!" Charles announced.

They didn't care about their surroundings, and luckily, nobody got angry with their noise.

"After our Finland trip, let's go to Paris!" Ysabelle said excitedly, her eyes sparkling.

"So much money, huh. Will you treat us?" Xyrile asked.

Ysabelle frowned.

"I'll treat you, but I helped you with the girl at the bar, so there's a payment for my skills," Ysabelle said, extending her hand.

Xyrile put his hand on hers and they held hands.

"Let me kiss you," Xyrile said, leaning in.

"Disgusting!" Ysabelle reacted, pulling her hand away.

What if Xyrile and Ysabelle aren't really cousins? Maybe fate just played with them. Sigh, I just read this in a fiction.
