Chapter 65: Chapter 65
The day had passed, and Lily's room had gone dark.
Steve was with Justine, and they didn't let him know what happened. They left Lily alone, but the child's face showed concern as he continued to ask, "Where is the beautiful lady?"
Justine just did things to entertain Steve, gave him things and food, and after coaxing him, he ended up sleeping.
Justine, who was super concerned, knocked on the door with a tray on her hands and opened the door. When no one answered, Justine opened the lamp and looked at Lily worriedly and said, "Here's your food."
Lily didn't even flinch and was just stunned. Justine, from her back, just looked at her and sighed. She couldn't stop asking, but she knew she was out of place and decided to say, "Just come out when you feel better; the police will be back tomorrow." and she left the door.
Lily was crying silently while her shoulders shivered. She didn't know what to do. She was so heartbroken. She knew it wasn't Liam's fault, but why did she feel that she was so distant, as if he was the one who had killed her father?
When Lily decided to pace inside her room, she tried different ways to relieve the nervousness she was feeling, but it didn't work, and she decided to get out to get a glass of water when she noticed it was already dark outside.
Lily didn't pay attention to anything but drank water that she got from the kitchen and went back to her room while losing her mind in the world.
When Lily got back to her room, she saw her phone ringing from an unknown number, and she was too lazy to answer it, but she decided to answer it and indifferently said, "Hello..."
"Hello, Miss Violet Lennox, this is Attorney Jeric Honteveros and I think you should watch the news."
Lily's eyes were filled with mystery as she looked at the phone, confused and exhausted. She browsed her phone and saw the news about Ilena's reaction to her husband's death.
"The president of the United Program was shot down by an unknown man on Miss Emelda's property this afternoon at 5:30 p.m. The reason for his death is unknown, but..."
Those were written on the blog, and Lily decided to scroll down only to see a video of Ilena being interviewed by some people, so she decided to pLiam it.
In the video, Ilena was crying while Midzy was comforting her while saying, "I don't know who did this, but one thing is for sure, he has no heart."
Lily was just looking at the video with anger that was felt and even bit her lips, which now had a wound due to being bitten too much.
"Don't worry about the company and us, Daniel. Have your peace, and I will take care of the rest."
Lily can't believe that this mother and daughter have the guts to show off with their faces like that. Lily can't stop feeling annoyed and the thirst for some revenge.
She continued to read the article and saw how and what Ilena's reaction was described. It was described as, "A woman who has this expression has to stand up for her deceased husband and everyone should be like her."
Lily felt she wanted to puke. As for her, Ilena was the one who didn't really care about her dead husband. She just wanted something that he had, so she decided to say those things.
Lily just scoffed and decided to call the number of the attorney who called her and said, "Do you know who can teach me everything I had to know before the new president of the United Program was held?"
Lily just talked to him with a blank expression and remembered that the next ceremony was to assist the new President of the United Program, and the man on the other side just smiled and said, "I'll be your guide, Miss. I'm a secret attorney after all, and everyone knew me as your father's secretary."
"Just tell me the word, Miss, and I'll get you where you should be."
Talking to Jeric, Lily realized how rich she was and how much property and things her parents left her. With that, Lily just glanced at the dark room and said to the other man on the phone, "Fetch me tomorrow."
"Rest assured, Miss, but do you want to hold a funeral for Mr. Daniel?"
Lily was taken aback and said, "No, please bury him fast. I know how much he wants to be with my mother."
"Yes, Miss, have a good night."
She turned off her phone and, with a throb in her heart, she knew to herself that she didn't know what she was going to do. She walked to her table, saw the folded envelope, and opened it.
She was planning to sign this after consulting with her own mind, but now she didn't have time to use that and had to decide on the spot.
Lily read everything on the last will and testament, even though the person she was speaking with earlier stated that it was clearly indicated that the company was named after her and belonged to her. Lily was concerned that Ilena had something to protect her claim, but she knew her father had planned this for a long time.
As she was looking at it, she saw the signature that Daniel had just written and stroked it with her fingers, feeling the warmth and love that Daniel made her feel earlier. She opened her drawer to find a pen, and when she found it, she held it tight and signed her signature on top of her name.
It was indeed that her name was registered as Lily, but Jeric said that he would take care of everything that needed to be fixed.
The event would be held in 2 weeks, and he only has that time to study, but it doesn't matter.
After signing the paper, Lily returned it properly to the envelope and stared at the mirror. Her aura changed as if she had become an unstoppable woman.
Lily revealed a mischievous grin and, looking at the mirror, said breathlessly, "Brace yourself because I will not have mercy."
Lily went out the door, and as her feet left the room, she followed her unpredictable plans on how she would regain herself and make those people who were responsible for her parents' death pay.
