Lily felt pressured because why did the situation become like that? If Ilena was Liam's father's illegitimate sister, then Ilena was married to her father. What does it mean? Is she related to Liam?

Lily sighed deeply as she looked at the ring on her finger. Dad was correct; there was no one she could trust except herself. However, because of what Daniel said, Lily had a different feeling about what to do if the same thing happened to how Liam found her in that room.

Daniel said, "I'll just leave this here."

He took out the paper that was inside the envelope and signed it. "I just signed the paper and I'll contact my private lawyer that you thought about and he will come to you and make it happen."

Lily just looked at Daniel and said, "If Ilena was Liam's father's illegitimate sister and I became her daughter in the papers, does that mean Liam, Midzy, and I, the three of us, are cousins?"

Daniel just smiled and said, "It's not like that and just trust me, you have never been cousins because Ilena and I never got married, so calm down."

Daniel and Lily just talked, and somehow it eased Lily's feelings. As Daniel declined the offer of dinner, he was escorted by Lily.

Lily just smiled at him and said, "Will you visit us again?"

"Only if you think about accepting my offer," said Daniel.

Lily just looked at him and crossed her arms in front of her, looking so unsure, and before she could utter a word, Daniel said, "Hahahah, calm down, just take your time, but please."

"Think of your mother while making it and of the future of my grandson!"

Daniel was relieved and said, "I'll see you again, my baby," as Lily softly smiled and nodded.

"Tell Miss Emelda that I'm grateful to her for letting me in!"

Lily waved her hand at Daniel, who was walking backwards and smiling at her.

A car stopped in the background on Emelda's tall gate; someone came out of the car, who appeared to be a guy with a sniper, and the whole scene began to turn in slow motion. The guy aimed for Daniel, who immediately did hit his head, and Lily was shocked.

Lily was still running, and her father was caught in the head with a bullet wound, and Lily saw the car leaving "D-dad."

Lily knew that there was no response and she was hit in the head. Even the guards who were at the gate didn't respond to what had happened.

They quickly called for help, but Daniel had already joined his wife even before they could rescue him.

"I'm sorry for your loss, Miss. Please contact me tomorrow for his body."

Lily was so heartbroken as she looked at the person she had talked to so happily before, but now she had no life. Lily felt like she was in a black hole. She didn't know what to do and she didn't pay attention to all the questions the police were asking.

Justine, who noticed it, said, "Please give her space for five minutes. She will speak too."

"But we don't have five minutes to wait for her.."

Justine was still convincing the police, and then, all of a sudden, Lily was stunned as her clothes were full of blood with puffed eyes and heard a voice saying, "What happened?"

Lily looked at Liam and felt that her soul had left her body. She was dizzy and out of control. She didn't know, but seeing this man triggered something inside of her and said, "My father---"

"He was killed by your father..."

Lily, with a bold claim, hurried herself to stand up and said to the police, "I only saw a black man with a sniper and as soon as they shot my dad, they ran away."

The police had more questions, but LilyLily just turned around and entered the room, locking herself up. Liam followed her, confused, and was about to knock, but Emelda stopped him by saying, "We need to talk."

Liam just looked at Emelda, then glanced at the door that was in front of him. He didn't know why the old woman was still calm after all that happened. Emelda started walking, and the commotion outside started to settle down, and Liam just humbly followed her to her study, unsure why that happened and why Lily ignored her.

Liam was so lost and confused, he didn't know how to paint his unsaid and confused emotions.

"Seat."

Emelda said coldly, and Liam began to shiver, unsure of what he had done wrong, and Emelda said, "If you're brave enough, I order you to watch the footage that was in the CCTV room, which happened and was discussed after it happened."

Liam just looked at Emelda while his heart was beating fast and said, "What do you mean? Did you watch that, grandma? Didn't you teach me that privacy?"

"And are you sure that you will really allow me?"

Emelda just nodded, and that was the reason for Liam's surprise.

Emelda just looked at him and said, "It wasn't right for me to interfere, but I think you should know why she's being like that."

"I know it's hard, but give her some space because she needs it, and just be there for her whenever she needs you, but no matter what choice you choose after watching the footage, I won't stop you."

While listening, Liam was in a maze, but he knew he would only know everything about what he would hear and what they talked about.

Liam nodded his head as an excuse to Emelda and went out the door with a heavy heart.

Liam was walking, and his heart seemed to be squeezing because of the pain. He held the knob with trembling hands. He didn't know what he was going to find out, but based on the old woman's reaction, it wasn't good.

Liam breathed heavily, and he remembered how Lily looked at him and how it broke his heart into a million pieces.

He didn't know what to do.

He placed himself on a chair and pLiamed the video of when Daniel came in and when he came out.

"This is it."

Liam calmed himself and placed the headphones on his head with trembling muscles.
