Chapter 49: Chapter 49

Liam wasn't sure if this would determine how much he badly wanted to stay beside Lily after all that he'd done, so they could talk again, but he'd been like a coward for not telling the main reason who it was.

After that incident, Liam couldn't bring himself to face her or how to explain everything to her. He knew that was the moment for him to be completely honest and just accept what she would say afterwards, but as a result, he held his tongue tight and now he was waiting for another moment to come to state his very chance.

He knew doing this could make him look like a deep shit, but he didn't have a choice as he was eventually more scared of losing her than telling her what happened 3 years ago.

Liam stood up and looked at his running fountain that was placed in his office to clear his mind. He hadn't come home yet and made his office like his home for a moment.

As he was looking at the running water, he remembered what happened that day.

"Actually..."

"I've done it with someone."

Liam was unsure about what Lily's reaction might be, but he pursued himself to avoid Lily's eyes because he was feeling guilty for what he did.

For a moment, Liam felt ill at putting himself at ease.

He was nervous about what might happen as she learned what happened that night.

"What is it that you've done it with someone else?"

"Ahm, I'm not the worst?"

"I let myself be used by a man I don't even know." Lily's lips turned into an arch, but the smile did not reach her eyes.

He felt sadder than he imagined. He knew that this would eventually come to an end, but he did not know that this would be the effect on him when she said

"Useful?"

Those were the words that were stuck in his head. If Steve and Haidee hadn't opened the door, he might have confessed and even let himself be eaten alive.

"Excuse me, sir, you have a visitor." Daniel, who's the secretary of Liam, suddenly entered the door.

Liam remained at his post and still looked at the fountain to keep himself calm.

"Can we talk?"

That voice made Liam turn and made his heart break into pieces.

Princess entered the hall of Motion Automotive, the largest company run by a man in his mid twenties living to tell the tale.

Princess decided to confront Liam because he didn't know what to say, but the revelation that day was bothering her, and she decided to put an end to this, especially with Liam's mania and making himself confused.

On her way to the top and last floor, where Liam's room was located, Princess ran out of patience on the elevator as it was taking so long to reach the end of it.

"Why do CEO's like this always want to place their office on the top floor of the building?" she said to herself as she was looking at the floor number that was changing on the elevator.

As soon as Princess got out of the elevator, he met Liam's secretary, "Oh Daniel, good to see you again."

Daniel just nodded at her and halted when he saw where Princess was going and said, "Excuse me, Miss Princess, but you can't enter Mr. Liam's room."

Princess paused as her face turned ugly and looked at Daniel, who was on her way, "And why is that?"

"Don't tell me he's also doing meetings in his office."

Daniel just bowed at her and humbly said, "It's Mr. Dawnson's order. I'm sorry but I can't let you pass through."

She was running out of patience, but she thought that what she was going to say would have to wait a little while, but as she was curious about it, as if it was important to her, she asked, "Who is it?" Looking at Daniel "That Liam chooses to hold a meeting in his room?" and she added

Daniel chuckled, and it startled Princess for some unknown reason. "It's Mr. Dawnson's wife."

"He ordered me not to bother them and blocked everything that was coming in here."

---

Liam couldn't believe his eyes as it appeared that Lily was in front of him and his heart was beating faster.

He said nothing as his world started to move again.

"Leave us alone and watch out 10 ft away from the door block everything that will be coming this way." Liam said as his gaze was only focused on Lily.

Daniel was stunned, and he knew all of the shareholders would be furious because his office was known for being open, particularly when it came to important questions and discussions.

"But sir, for what reason will I tell them you know how persuasive they are?"

Liam coldly said, "I'm with my wife. Please excuse yourself."

After Daniel left, there was a cold aura that surrounded them and it made them both uncomfortable.

"Are you alright?"

"Steve was a bit worried, so I asked Haidee about your working place." Lily said, stammering.

"I'm also worried about you." She added as Liam's heart started to skip a beat.

He was just looking at her, and he didn't know what to do.

As his heart started to beat fast and he was ready to face his faith, he sighed deeply as he looked at her worried face.

"I'm sorry, Lily. I don't know how to say it, but I'm fine."

"I'm sorry for making you both worried."

Lily, being unsure and feeling wronged inside, suddenly smiled, "Oh okay, that's good to know."

There were a lot of minutes that had passed as silence took over the surroundings.

"You wasted your opportunity," Liam said to himself, looking at Lily, who was looking around.

Lily was out of herself and didn't know what to do as she knew that she had entered into an awkward situation that she badly wanted to escape.

"Okay, I'll just tell Steve that his daddy is okay."

"What, daddy?"

"Your son is not Liam's son!"
