Chapter 32: Chapter 32

----

Justine was sweeping the fallen leaves on the grass in front of Lily 's house, and she was picking leaves when someone caught her eyes, someone who looked so dashing in his cream-colored coat, a black turtle neck, and brown jeans. Justine looked at him as if he was someone she already knew.

Liam just looked at the lady with her hair tied in a bun, a simple shirt and pajamas.

Justine didn’t know that she was staring too much and imagining the both of them, on the field filled with flowers, holding hands, and their faces were starting to meet each other when the image suddenly cracked in the middle and fell into pieces.

"Excuse me?" Liam asked the woman hugging the broom stick that she used for sweeping.

Justine smiled as she saw Liam smiling at her and, out of nowhere, said

"Yes, I'll be your girlfriend, and Justine is the name." Justine said while fluttering her eyes.

Liam found it weird and started to look around, hoping that there was someone she was looking at.

"Is Lily around?" Liam asked, which broke her imagination.

Justine just focused on the man in front of her with the bags of paper that he was holding, and she looked at the man's face carefully, and something clicked inside of her head. Then suddenly, she just thought that this man in front of her was so familiar; he looked exactly like Steve.

Justine put her hand on her mouth out of shock and then decided to put her loose hair behind her ear and act like a mannerable lady.

"Come on in, Sir, Miss Lily is not there just yet, but Steve is inside," said Justine.

Justine opened the door for the man she had just met. She didn't know, but at some point, Justine shuddered and said, "Even if my husband is so handsome, I'll really hide it, but what's Miss Lily 's reason?"

She snapped her fingers, and her phone started ringing as she closed the door. She heard that her mother is very in need of money because they have to pay for something. She told Lily about it and even said that she would just come back the next day so they could have some time together.

Justine packed her things to take home as well as the gifts and foods she had saved for her younger siblings.

"Where are you going?" Liam asked to play with Steve, who had just woken up and didn't seem to be on his own.

"To go home, Sir, you know, for you to spend time together with Miss Lily ." said Justine and chuckled as she saw Liam's cheeks turn red.

Steve approached Justine, and Steve stood up with his little feet, then hugged his nanny tight.

"Be a good boy. Daddy is with you, so Justine will go home first, and be back tomorrow, okay?" Justine said, and Steve nodded his head and waved bye bye.

Liam was amazed at how prescized this lady in front of him was and gave Lily credit for finding someone, but Liam stopped, as he was thinking about how come he was so interested in this but Lily still hadn't said anything to him. He just knew that Steve was her son because Lily told him so.

And Liam gulped as he was thinking of some scenario that he would admit to Lily , and he was embarrassed about it. He decided to lie down in the living room and look at the simple ceiling this house had and imagine all sorts of things, like them being together. Liam smiled foolishly as he liked what he was thinking, and Steve went on top of him, looking at him.

"What is it, baby?" Liam asked.

"Daddy water." Steve said, and Liam got up and placed Steve in his seat again, waiting for him.

He got back and realized that Lily was running a bit late, so he decided to get his coat off that he had been wearing earlier and decided to place it on the pole behind the door. As he approached, he smelled Lily 's scent from a distance, and he placed his coat away from his body from the pole.

and decided to wear the apron that hung on the side of the fridge.

"Let's do this."

---

Lily was running as fast as she could, as if she wasn't putting up with the tiredness she felt from all the things she had done before. She didn't know why she was pumped up, but she continued to say sorry for what she was hurting, and she was just easily tracing his house.

She didn't knock for someone to open the door, but it was clear Justine had already left. Lily rummaged through her bag to find the key to her front door.

"Why are there a lot of keys attached to this ring?" Lily herself, through her mind, with trembling hands.

As she searched for the main door key, and when she found it, Lily opened the door breathless, looking at what was happening just to see Liam feeding Steve from the living room, and they were in the kitchen. She saw Liam as he stood up and carried Steve in his hands to greet Lily. Steve went to his mother's arms to greet her happily, and only then did Lily notice that Liam was wearing an apron and was busy in the kitchen as soon as she got back.

"I'm sorry, I already cooked. You were running a bit late and the guard left Steve, so I stayed. " Liam said this while mixing and tasting the dish he was preparing.

Lily was just looking at him again, with sparkles surrounding her, and said, "You should find a man that not only cares for you, but cares for Steve as much as he does for you." Those were the lines Jenny said to Lily when she was pursuing her to find a lover, not for her but for Steve as well, and as Lily was thinking, Liam surpassed that standard.

Lily was brought back to the world when Liam was coming towards her direction with a spoon caught by the lid of the pot.

Lily was just looking at him.

"Can you taste this?" Liam asked. "If it's okay for your taste," As he blew the spoon in his mouth before tasting it with Lily,

"Am I dreaming?"

That's what Lily says to herself as she can't believe what's in front of her, and when she tastes it, it's like she's already tasted the love that she knows she won't let go of.
