Chapter 33: Chapter 33

Lily was just looking at him and how he would prepare food.

She was just sitting in the living room watching Steve, but even she could tell that all of her attention was being poured on the man that was cooking in the kitchen.

Lily remembered what Liam had done to her when he came over to let her taste what he cooked.

Lily didn't know that she was staring at the man cooking inside her house for a long time and didn't notice that Liam's body was leaning against the sink with crossed arms and even looking at her with his puffy eyes.

Lily gulped and pretended to turn her gaze to Steve. Liam gulped as well, and suddenly felt hot.

But he didn't bother to look at the time on his wrist watch, and it was 7:30. It's a good thing he took a two-day off. When the food was ready, he prepared everything.

Lily just held Steve and then he eventually slept.

Lily didn't worry much because she saw how Liam fed Steve and then, when he was really sound asleep,

Lily decided to place Steve on her bed, but she was suddenly nervous.

Because she thought that they were the only two left and it would be really awkward, Lily decided to just go out, because there was nothing wrong with

She went out to see that only one plate was placed for one person to use, and then all the food was in front of it, and then Lily just saw him next to the door preparing himself to leave.

"You are leaving already?" Lily asked sparingly.

And when Liam just turned to look at her, he couldn't help but rejoice, and think that he was being overjoyed.

"I think you don't---" Liam didn't finish what he was about to say as Lily cut it and said

"You should stay..."

"As a t-thank you for taking care of Steve," said Lily, and she realized what she had said.

"Stay! For dinner... If you just want to, " Lily said.

And then she turned because she was blushing so much and she couldn't help but be shy.

Liam was unsure, but it was better to have a chance to be close to her than none.

Liam just walked into the kitchen.

And Lily couldn't help but squeeze her chest as she picked up a plate for him to use.

They sat down and started eating. Only the sound of a spoon hitting the fragile plate could be heard in the atmosphere.

Lily wanted to ask him something, but she didn't know how to start, and neither did Liam.

Liam wanted to clarify something that he didn't know and didn't know the origin of.

Lily placed her utensils down, then Liam just looked at her.

"I," they said together...

And they were almost embarrassed. Liam scratched his neck, and Lily bowed because of the embarrassment.

"You should go first," said Liam.

Lily just stared at him, unsure, and said, "You should go first.. If that's fine with you."

Liam took a deep breath and looked at her, uncertain if it was right to tell her everything.

He cleared his throat and asked

"Did I do something that upsets you? We were fine the other day, but the next day we weren't okay..."

"Can I know what caused it? " Liam asked.

And then, Lily realized that it all started when that friend of his talked to her.

She also doesn't know why she obeyed, but she knows why she became like that. Even Lily can tell that Princess has feelings for Liam.

And another of the reasons for her staying away is that she thinks she has no match for someone like Princess.

Liam was just looking at her, and Lily decided to say, "You're always at my workplace."

"I'm ashamed that you see what I'm doing.. especially you, being with other girls."

Liam smiled from ear to ear. "Can you repeat the last sentence you said?" he asked.

"No, I'm not repeating it again." said Lily, looking at the different directions.

Liam just chuckled, and then looked at her. "How about you? What do you want to say?"

He asked because he didn't want to fry anymore on the "jealousy thing."

Lily paused for a moment to consider whether it was appropriate to tell him.

"What do you and Princess have?" Lily asked.

And Liam was taken aback. It was clear that Princess was just his friend, but he knew that something was off.

Especially when it comes to Princess meeting Lily for the first time.

He knows because he did it before.

"There's nothing going on between us."

"If that's the reason why you're behaving like that or acting around me, I understand."

"But there's nothing ever going on between us." Liam said this solemnly.

And so Lily stood up and just turned around to go to the fridge to get water and for the cold air to touch her blushing face.

When she returned while holding the jar of water and a cup, she was pinned to the fridge and didn't know what to do.

"Is that why you are acting like that?" Liam asked in a voice almost husky.

Lily thought that even after eating, her breath was still very fragrant, and Lily was trembling.

Lily didn't say anything and just felt Liam's fingers running through her skin and up to her hand to pick up the jar and glass she was holding.

Rain suddenly poured hard and Liam just looked out the window as he was placing the things he took from her.

Lily was just looking at him.

"Can I stay here until after the rain stops?" Liam asked, and Lily was caressing her elbow while looking at the window.

"Sure," Lily said, and felt hot.

Liam turned to face her again, and this time he stole a peck on Lily's lips, making her shocked, but because she couldn't contain the heat she was feeling, she pretended to be offended by it.

"W-what are you doing?" she asked, and Liam turned pale.

"D-do it properly."

Then Liam didn't second guess and opened the door to her room.

They were separated from Steve's room so she could get used to it, but there are times when she ignores it.

Liam started kissing her before they entered the door, and Lily wasn't closing her eyes.

When she saw how passionate Liam was, she let herself be carried away.

And told herself, "It's time for her to take a step forward as well."
