Chapter 28: Chapter 28

Lily finished every bit of her last task before deciding to go to the hospital for it to be checked. The 3rd bandage was again filled with blood and she didn’t know what to do. She kept on asking Dafne to change it for her, but the only answer she got was to go to the hospital to be masticated and closed. The blood coming out of her hand was not a joke, but Lily was thinking that it would close if she poured grated coffee seed on it, which she saw on social media.

She believed that going to the hospital was a waste of time.

Lily was on her last try and was ready to go home when she met Christian in the hallway. Though nervous, Lily chose to pay attention to it.

"How's your hand?" he asked Lily.

And Lily was concealing it behind her back when Christian and LilyLily both felt pain and bit their lower lip.

"I'm sorry." Christian said while looking at Lily's wound.

"I think you should go to the hospital, and take 3 days leave," said Christian.

And Lily just sighed. She doesn't know if it's really nice that you know the manager of the place you work because everyone notices and has this care for you.

"Fine, I'm going to the hospital, Sir, but is 3 days leave necessary?" Lily asked him, giving him a face.

She knows she shouldn't be doing that, but Christian has just irritated her lately, especially at dinner, where he kept bringing Liam up as a topic, making Lily lose her appetite and be distressed, but she brushed it off, especially unavoidably noticing that he's being odd for telling her over and over again the things and help he did for them by Steve.

"Yes, I don't want someone calling you a slow-ass waitress," said Christian to LilyLily.

On the other hand, Princess was still dragging Liam into the room but he couldn't stand it and made his own move to move closer when he saw Christian was holding her hand, which made her furious and jealous about it.

Princess was left like a beggar begging for time, but she was not given any attention as she hoped for and decided to take the other route to exit the bar.

And everything that happened was like a breeze that passed by Christian and Lily. Lily was surprised when suddenly a Liam was between the two of them, chasing his breath. Lily also saw how Princess ran her hand towards Liam's body, which made her confused as to why she felt that way because she's not really like that.

"What are you doing?" When Christian asked Liam then, Lily felt the pressure of Liam's hold was making her hand numb.

"Isn't it obvious? She's uncomfortable with what you're doing. " Liam said

"Really, maybe I was doing that because it's my job as her manager."

"I doubt it. Is flirting also part of your service guidance?"

Liam asked Christian, creating tension, and noticed that Lily was not behind him.

"Did you see her leave?" Liam asked Christian, and Christian just stared at him and left him behind.

Liam decided to follow her to the employees' locker room, where he saw her packing her stuff, and he felt the most unexplainable pain while looking at her.

"Do you want me to accompany you to the hospital?" Liam asks the not-busy Lily, who's treating him like some sort of object that doesn't move, and she's not interested in it.

"Are you purposely ignoring me and not serving me any of my orders?" Liam asked her, and Lily stopped in her tracks.

Yes, Lily did manage to doudge him once, and when she found out about his room, she avoided its table number and pretended to tell Dafne that that's where her wound came from, and she didn't want to be there, but the reason is that Lily didn't want to go there, especially since they were together.

"No, I'm not the one who's putting up with the tray to serve." Lily's sparing answer

Because of clumsiness, Lily handled the bag with her wounded finger, making it drop. Liam was alarmed and grabbed her in her left hand.

He dragged her gently but fast and opened the door for her when they both reached his car. Lily didn't do anything but enter and didn't argue anymore, but what that girl said earlier was still on her mind and it was making her feel uncomfortable, as if there was a barrier between them that she could not see but she could feel.

"If you don't want to, and if you want, we'll go to the hospital." Said Liam to her,

"Why is it because you care that I can't take care of Steve? I can take care of him just fin--"

"No, because you're hurt." Liam said "And that too, that you can't take care of Steve." He said, making Lily confused as he scratched his nape and he started to drive.

LilyLily was just sitting on the passenger seat and looking at the stores and lights they would pass, but she was still thinking about what happened. The coolness of the aircon was unaffected by the heat she felt and the window beside her slightly opened, making her feel warm by the small gesture made by Liam.

They arrived at the hospital, and Liam opened the door to the hospital as if he knew exactly where he was going.

"Oh, nice to meet you, Liam," said a female doctor and kissed him on the cheeks.

"You have someone with you." She said, and looked at Lily with disgust.

And LilyLily was just looking at her and the doctor asked her to take her seat and prepare her kit. Liam was sitting on the bed beside her desk.

LilyLily was just looking at both of them, and confused as to how close they were, and she just wanted to go home and rest, feeling she had enough of Liam and his ladies.

"It's a bit painful, so I think you might want to prepare yourself."

LilyLily just closed her eyes as the needle went to her skin. She didn't feel it because of the anesthetic injected into her, but she was still hurt at how Liam would deal with all the women he talked to

"Is this how he really is?" Lily asked herself, then Liam spoke, and she decided to not care about it.

"Meet Haidee," said Liam.

"My sister."
