Chapter 78: Chapter 78

Alex pov.

What was he doing here? Was he following me? I watched as he walked over to me, looking at me as if he was waiting for me to say something.

"Why do you come here, Luna? And by the look of things, you look worried," I couldn't keep my eyes off him when he asked me that question. I thought by now he would be with that so-called Nora, so why is he here?

"And what are you talking about? Is that a way to speak with your Luna?" he chuckled at my words and looked at me. Before I knew what was happening, he held my hands and moved me closer to him.

"I know you are involved in the disappearance of Sierra, so where is she?"

"How dare you speak to your Luna in that manner? And even dare to hold my hands in this way? Do you know you will be killed for that?" The more I spoke, the tighter he held my hands, causing me to yell in pain once again.

"You might have deceived the Alpha, but soon he will just kick you out, and then the rightful Luna will come back to her rightful place," I laughed upon hearing him say that. I looked at him and with force, I pulled my hands away from him and slapped him across the face.

"You foolish fool! I will make sure Williams hears of this. And by the way, good luck with finding Sierra. I pray you see her."

As I turned and was about to walk away, he spoke, making me stop and look at him angrily.

"What?" I said in a loud tone. He smiled and moved closer to me.

"Like I said, Luna, I will make sure you suffer for your sins. And when that day comes, I will kill you with a happy thought."

His words sounded so real, but I couldn't show my fear towards him, or he might think I am weak. Watching him just standing there, saying those words, made me feel like killing him right there.

"Do all you could, Beta, but do not forget, I am still your Luna. And whatever I say, stand and just watch. I will make the Alpha get rid of you."

I walk away without looking back, as I head back to the castle, before William will notice I am gone.

Upon reaching the castle, I walk back into the room and still see William lying there. I smile and lay down on the bed, placing my hands over his chest. I cannot stop looking at him.

Now that I have him, Sierra has no choice but to perish before me.

Without a single thought, I close my eyes, with my hands still placed on his chest, as darkness surrounds me, waiting for the next day to come.

Waking up the next day, I reached out to touch the spot where William had been sleeping, only to realize it was vacant. Opening my eyes, I scanned the bed, but he was nowhere to be found.

Rising from the bed, I made my way to the bathroom to freshen up. After completing my bath, I selected one of my beautiful dresses and adorned my face with a touch of makeup.

Ready for the day, I stepped out of the room and proceeded directly to the living room, but William was nowhere in sight. As I glanced around, my eyes landed on one of the maids, and I called out to her, beckoning her to approach.

I noticed a hint of fear in her eyes, and oddly enough, it brought me a sense of satisfaction. "Where is the Alpha?" I inquired, her trembling form bowing in respect.

"The Alpha is in his office, my Luna," she replied fearfully. I offered a smile in response, then walked away, making my way towards his office.

Upon reaching his office, I pushed open the door and found him engrossed in his work, surrounded by numerous papers. "I see you're busy," I remarked as I approached him. He glanced up at me momentarily before returning his gaze to the documents.

"I wasn't expecting you here. What do you want?" he questioned.

Moving closer to him, I stood by his side, gently placing my hands on his shoulders as he looked at me. "Why do you seem unhappy to see me? Is something bothering you?" I asked, genuinely concerned.

He continued to gaze at me, his expression indicating that my presence was not necessarily a welcome one. "I've been preoccupied lately, so there's nothing for you to worry about," he replied curtly.

His response left me wondering about the source of his troubles. "Are you still thinking about her?" I inquired, silently urging him to explain his emotions.

His eyes told a compelling tale, one that I endeavored to unravel, fervently hoping that my suspicions were unfounded.

Gazing intently at him, I awaited his words, when suddenly he drew me closer, guiding me to rest gently upon his lap.

"May I respond to your inquiry in this manner?" he inquired.

A smile graced my countenance as I encircled my arms around his shoulders, drawing my visage nearer to his.

"Grant me the solace of a kiss, and I shall know that thoughts of her no longer linger within your mind."

Our eyes locked in a profound connection as I patiently awaited his tender embrace.

Before another utterance could escape my lips, he swiftly drew my face nearer, bestowing upon me a passionate kiss upon my trembling lips.

Initially taken aback, I soon found myself overcome with a joyous euphoria, as I reciprocated the intensity of our shared kiss.

As we parted, a smile played upon my lips, observing his gaze fixed upon me in kind.

"Has that answered your query now?" he inquired, searching my eyes for affirmation.

I smiled and nodded in response, gracefully rising from his lap and strolling away, a profound sense of tranquility enveloping my being.

At last, my meticulously crafted plan was on the verge of fruition.
