Chapter 77: Chapter 77

Sierra pov.

After arriving at his castle, I was utterly astounded, finding myself at a loss for words to adequately express my amazement.

Upon stepping out of the car, I glanced around, and to my delight, he walked beside me and began to speak.

"Do you like my castle?" he inquired.

Unable to find my voice, I could only nod in response, my gaze fixated on the captivating surroundings.

He positioned himself in front of me, turning to meet my eyes.

"Come, let me show you the interior," he invited.

As we commenced our journey inside the castle, I couldn't help but feel transported to an entirely new realm.

Before I could utter another word, a lady emerged from one of the rooms and approached Dean, right before my eyes, planting a kiss on his lips, leaving me bewildered.

"Who is she?" she inquired, directing her gaze towards me, while I stood there, incapable of uttering a single word.

"Her name is Sierra," Dean explained, "and she is a lone wolf with nowhere to go. Therefore, I decided to bring her here, offering her a chance at a new life."

As she looked at me, an icy chill seemed to envelop me, leaving me uncertain whether to turn and flee.

"I am Sierra. Nice to meet you," I introduced myself with a smile, extending my hand for a handshake. However, she merely regarded me with a piercing gaze that could have chilled my bones.

Defeated, I withdrew my outstretched hand, casting my eyes downward, unsure of how to proceed.

"I suppose it's true that you are a lone wolf," she sneered, "but I will let it slide. As the future Luna of the Ghost Pack, it would be wise for you to show me respect, rather than attempting to engage me in idle conversation."

At that moment, Dean stepped forward, and I observed the way he regarded her.

"Try being kind for once, Linda. She is just a lone wolf. Why can't you show some kindness?" His tone was filled with frustration as he gripped her hand tightly, his eyes burning with anger. I trembled with fear, fearing that I may be the cause of their present discord.

"Excuse me," I stammered, as they both turned their gaze towards me.

"I apologize if I am causing any trouble. Perhaps it would be best if I retraced my steps and left the way I came."

As I turned to depart, Dean firmly grasped my hand, pulling me back, and I found myself captivated by his gaze, losing myself in his eyes.

"I brought you here so that you will stay," he said, dragging me inside while walking away from the lady, whom I think I heard him call Linda. As I turned one more time to look at her, I could see the anger still etched on her face.

After walking for a while, we both halted at a door. He opened it, revealing a surprisingly vast room. Its expanse overwhelmed me.

He guided me inside and led me to the bed, sitting me down beside him. With a slight pause, he asked, "Do you like this room?" I stared at him, at a loss for words.

"Are you okay?" he inquired again, prompting me to simply nod and avert my gaze.

In the midst of a prolonged silence, with no words exchanged, he rose and turned to face me once more.

"I believe you might need some time alone," he suggested. "You can take a bath if you wish. Just open the door to your left. When you're finished, I will send a maid to provide you with clothes. And if you happen to be hungry, don't hesitate to ask."

As he prepared to depart, I grasped his hand, halting his progress, and gazed earnestly into his eyes. "Why did you do that?" I asked, my gaze unwavering.

He appeared somewhat perplexed by my question, and I stood up, fixing my stare upon him. "She claimed she would become the next Luna, meaning that since you're an Alpha, she would be your Luna. And I believe it was because of me that you yelled at her."

A chuckle escaped him at my words, and he placed his hands gently on my shoulders. "She may aspire to be my Luna, but for now, she isn't. Meanwhile, you require care due to your circumstances."

I remained silent, offering only a nod as I sat back down on the bed.

"Thank you for everything," I expressed, my eyes still fixed on him.

He smiled and nodded in response, then walked away, leaving me alone in the room.

I looked everywhere, taking in the sights, and I immediately felt a sense of relaxation wash over me. Making my way towards the door, he had pointed out as the bathroom, I gradually approached it, my curiosity piqued. With anticipation building, I turned the doorknob, revealing a spacious and breathtaking bathroom that left me utterly astonished.

Stepping into the bathroom, my eyes were drawn to a grand mirror adorning the wall. I gazed at my reflection, starting at my own face. Something seemed different, and I surmised it could be due to the dirt smudged across my visage.

Peeling off my clothes, I moved towards the bathtub, its inviting presence beckoning me. I filled it with warm water, and reaching for the nearby soap, I stepped into the tub, submerging myself in the comforting embrace of the water.

A profound sense of calm enveloped me as I reclined, my hands resting gently on my stomach, a serene smile gracing my lips in anticipation of the moment when I would give birth to my child.

Closing my eyes, the image of William began to float into my thoughts. Startled, I opened my eyes abruptly, sinking back down and attempting to steady my breath.

Why was he still occupying my mind? Why couldn't I free myself from his grip, if only for a moment?

Once finished, I emerged from the bathtub, reaching for the towel conveniently placed near the door. Wrapping it snugly around my body, I turned the doorknob and ventured out. To my astonishment, I stood frozen upon seeing Lady Linda seated on the bed, her hands clasping a cloth, her gaze fixed upon me.
