Chapter 10: Chapter 10

Sierra pov.

"I can't believe it today," I breathed out, as I started walking around my room, feeling my heart beating so hard. I sat on the bed, too scared to come out. It was today, the day the full moon would appear. I felt like hiding under the bed, not coming out from it. I felt as if this would be the day I'd regret everything in my life.

As I sat on the bed, staring at the door, I felt as if I was about to explode. Soon, the door opened to reveal the beast as he looked at me, smiling.

"Morning," he said as he walked over to me and held out his hands for me to take. I didn't know what was happening, and my hands started shaking. I looked up at him, and he could see how scared I had become.

He pulled his hands out as he looked at me without saying a word. I stood up, looking down, feeling scared of whatever might happen today.

"Are you okay?" he asked me as I looked up at him, breathing so hard.

"I'm fine," I tried to say as I walked away, heading to the door. I didn't know if I sounded rude, but just thinking about what would happen tonight, I felt as if my death was close by.

As we both reached the dinner table, I noticed a lot of food on it. The sight was overwhelming, and the smell was mouthwatering. Was it the work of those creatures?

As I sat down, he moved close to me and pushed the plate of food in my direction. I smiled and thanked him, taking in the sight of the delicious meal before me. The aroma of the food filled my nostrils, making my mouth water in anticipation.

As we started eating, I noticed him staring at me, making me feel uneasy. I could hear the sounds of our chewing and the occasional clinking of utensils against the plate. I wanted to know why he kept looking at me, so I lifted my face to meet his gaze.

"Why do you keep staring?" I asked, trying to get to the bottom of it. He looked away, his eyes darting around the room, and then started eating, which made me feel more comfortable.

Soon we were finished, and I stood up to take the plates to the kitchen, but he stopped me and took them himself. I reminded him that I was capable of doing it, but he insisted on helping. It was a kind gesture that left me speechless.

As I walked into the kitchen, I couldn't help but smile to myself. I began washing the dishes and setting them where they belonged. The sensation of the warm water on my hands felt soothing and therapeutic.

Once I was done, I walked back into the living room and saw him sitting there with a book in his hands. I sat down next to him, enjoying the comforting presence he provided.

He noticed my presence as he dropped the book down, looking up at me. As I turned and gazed back at him, he asked, "What do you want to do?" I turned away, looking back at the table in front of me, not knowing what to say.

He moved closer to me, and I felt his hands around my waist, and his hot breath around my neck. "You know I'm glad you're the one for me," he whispered, and I felt a cold chill down my spine. I closed my eyes, feeling as though this was one of those movie scenes where the next thing you'd hear is "I want you."

I opened my eyes and stared into his emotional eyes. I lifted my hands and placed them on his face, feeling the softness of his fur. "I love you, mate," he said, looking at me with love in his eyes.

I wanted to tell him I loved him too, but I was too scared to say it. I stood up and walked away from him, not caring to look back. The time started ticking fast, and every time it ticked, I felt like my heart was about to break into pieces. After staying in my room for five hours without doing anything, only referring to my decision, I looked up to see that it was already 6:00 PM.

I wanted to jump out the window and run away, or just yell for help. I stood up and walked out of my room in search of the beast. Soon I found him in the library, as he was bringing out all the chains from the cupboard. As he was about to leave, our eyes met, and I slowly walked over to him. "Here, let me help you," I said.

As I took one of the chains, I noticed how heavy it was. I looked at him, trying to know why he needed this to chain himself tonight.

After a lot of stare, he walked away, and I followed behind him. Soon, we went down into a dark place, and I started to wonder what place this was.

"Where are we?" I asked him as he stopped and looked at me.

"This is a basement. With this way, I won't escape, so everyone is safe from me," he replied.

Just hearing that, I wondered what kind of dangerous creature he would become on the full moon.

Soon, I helped him as I chained him up to a wall. We both sat on the floor, and I sat far away from him, scared of him hurting me if he was about to transform.

I looked at him as he looked back, and we both stared at each other. Soon, it was night, and just 5 minutes before the full moon.

"You need to go," he said as I looked at him, seeing his eyes a bit gold and his teeth now long.

"Let me help," I told him, but he looked at me and growled.

"You can't help me. You need to help yourself."

After seeing him in that state, I felt bad and pitied him. Soon, I heard him say, "Do you love me?"

That word left me thinking as I didn't know what to say.

"Tell me, please. I want to know, do you love me?" he pleaded.

As I looked at him, I could see the hurt in his eyes. I closed my eyes and whispered, "No, I don't."

Soon, a loud growl came out from him as I moved back. His eyes were now fully gold, and his teeth were now like those of a lion. He started breaking the chains as I looked at him, scared and not knowing what to do.

"Run!" he yelled. Without wasting any time, I ran as fast as I could.

The sight of him in his transformed state was terrifying. His eyes were as bright as gold, and his teeth looked like they could tear through anything. The smell of fear hung heavily in the air as I sprinted away. The sound of his growls echoed through the basement, sending shivers down my spine.

As I ran, I could feel the wind brushing against my face, and my heart pounding in my chest. It was as if I was running for my life.
