Nigel POV

I'm just here in my condo and getting addicted to alcohol. I've lost the will to go to the office but I have no choice because Mom and Dad might scold me when they find out that I'm neglecting the company.

Later I heard a knock, I had no intention of opening it but it seemed that whoever was outside didn't want to stop so I stood up. As soon as I opened the door, I was greeted by a strong punch and I saw my best friend, Storm, with a look of anger on his face.

"Damn you, Nigel, I told you not to hurt my brother but you did it!" he ordered angrily.

I stood up and wiped the blood from my mouth. " Do you think I wanted to hurt her? No Storm! But can you blame me? I am hurting too, I know you don't understand that because you're not in my position." I promise calmly.

"If my sister made a mistake, that's not enough reason for you to hurt her back!"

"What do you want to convey to me? That your sister's feelings are valid and mine are not? I know you are on her side because he is your sister." I said.

"Whether I'm related by blood or not, I'll be on the side of who is right, I'm not saying that it's okay that she hurt you, Kiara is my sister and I'm your best friend, Nigel! That's why I entrusted my sister to you!"

"I know I'm doing something wrong, but I'm hurt! Do you think I want this shit? No! But she made the reason for us to be in this situation!" I said.

"I thought you were different but you are the same as another man who will hurt my sister,"

"It's already happened, I'm done with it. Will anything change?" I said.

"Well, you're really stupid!" He immediately started punching me and I just let him, I didn't dare to retaliate because I knew he was mad at me.

"Nigel! Brother!" I heard Kiara's voice and quickly pulled her brother.

"Brother, please." she pleaded with Storm.

"Don't be stupid Kiara, don't feel sorry for that idiot! Feel sorry for yourself." Storm said angrily.

"Your brother is right Kiara, leave now." I said seriously.

"Are you okay Nigel?" she came to me and grabbed my arm but I just shook it, she was about to speak when Storm pulled her.

"Come on Kiara, don't waste our time with that useless man!" Storm said.

"But brother,"

"Stop it, Princess Kiara! Don't you understand?" his brother snorted at her.

"Remember this Nigel, I will not allow you to get close to my sister anymore." Storm turned to me.

"That's good to hear that," I promised him.

"Fuck you. asshole!"

"Bring your sister home," I said.

"I will really bring her back home, I will not let her get close to someone like you. From this day forward, forget about us being best friends." he finally said and then pulled Kiara out.

I just fell on the sofa, nice! I have also lost my best friend. My life is so fucked up now.

Maybe I'll be responsible to my parents when they find out what's going on. It's a good thing they're not here now because they're on vacation in another country.

Storm POV

"How about my car brother?" she asked me when we got into my car.

"I'll just get it tomorrow," I answered her and started to drive home.

"Y-you shouldn't have done that to him. You shouldn't have hurt him," my sister suddenly said.

"Are you out of your mind Kiara? Are you that stupid? Can't you see that he doesn't care about you anymore? Stop that shit! " I said emphatically.

"I love him,"

"Does he still love you? If he loved you, he wouldn't have done that to you. You are the one who says that you see different women with him. He's disrespecting you already Kiara." I promise.

"But still brother, I hope you didn't hurt him. We are both at fault, maybe we just lacked communication so this thing is happening."

I looked at her in disbelief. "You're \mad at me for hurting him? Wow!" I sarcastically said.

"It's not like that, Brother, it's about --."

"Shut up!" I shouted at her so she couldn't finish what she was going to say.

Our ride was quiet and until we got home no one tried to speak. I turned the car off as soon as I parked it.

"If you want to make a fool of yourself then go chase him! But don't come to me crying because he pushed you away. You're grown up, you know what is right from wrong." Then I got out of the car and went straight inside the house.

I'm not mad at my sister, I'm just irritated with what she did,  I don't want her to beg for a man she doesn't deserve.

When I got home I went straight to my room to get dressed and go to bed because I have a lot to do tomorrow. I will let my sister think first, I know she can overcome whatever problem she is facing now. I know her, just like Mom, but that doesn't mean I'm going to leave her. I'm still here for her no matter what happens. I will not let Kiara feel that she is alone.
