Chapter 57: Chapter 57

Kiara POV

A month has passed since everything happened, I became okay and my wound is slowly healing. My brother doesn't allow me to leave the house alone because it's still dangerous, especially since Kaye hasn't been caught yet. Nigel often picks up here when we leave and when I go to the boutique, he or Storm will drop me off.

While I was arranging the papers, my phone suddenly rang. I frowned because it was an unregistered number. So to find out I just answered it. "Hello, who's this?" I asked.

I didn't hear any answer on the other line that you asked for. "If you don't want to talk, I'll put it down. I've got a lot to do so I don't have time to fool around with you." I said annoyed.

"But I have Kiara." I almost fainted when I recognized whose voice it was.

"K-Kaye," I promised weakly.

"It's good and I don't need to introduce you, Kiara."

"Where are you?" I asked her.

I heard her laugh. "You think I'm stupid enough to tell you where I am? I'm not going to drop myself."

"W-what do you need?" I ask.

"Easy, you look tense,"

"Can you stop now, Can't see? my brother doesn't love you anymore, right? Why don't you just give up and ask for forgiveness? And if you want I'll ask my brother not to send you to jail if you want to change. You still have time," I said.

"Shut up! Do you think it's that easy, Kia? No! My plan would have been okay if you hadn't interfered! I gave you a chance but you were stubborn."

"I pity you now, Kaye. You're so desperate! Brother will never come back to you, let them be happy because they love each other. You will also find a man who will love you." I insisted.

"I only love Storm and that will never change. I will do anything just to get him. I'm not done with all of you Kiara. You'll regret turning your back on me and choosing that woman." she said and ended the call.

I felt nervous now because of what she said, she was crazy. I don't know what else she can do. She is also mad at me now so I need to be careful.

I could hardly concentrate on what I was doing all day because of thinking, I don't know if I should tell this to my brother or Nigel, but if I did, Kaye might get angrier and everything would become even more chaotic.

"What's the problem?" I looked at the door and saw Nigel.

"W-have you been there too long?" I ask.

"Not really but just enough to see you're not yourself." he laughed and said so I frowned. He came to me and kissed me on the cheek. "So, what are you thinking?"

"I'm just stressed from work." I lied to him. I know it's wrong not to tell the truth but my mind is messed up right now.

"I told you that we should take a vacation first so that you can rest,"

"Of course, I prefer to finish the things that need to be done first so that I don't have anything else to think about."

"By the way, I just came from your brother's office."

"Why?" I asked him.

"I just had to sign something so I passed by there before I came here."

"Are my brother and Bea okay now? I heard that Storm is mad at her," I said.

"I think they're okay because when I got there, they were talking inside while your brother was eating. It's natural, babe, that Storm would be mad at Bea's wrong decision, even if I was in his position, it will be my reaction too."

"Why aren't you angry with me?" I asked him.

"Who said that?"

"So you're mad?" I said.

"Yes, I was angry at first because you had a problem and you didn't tell me. I didn't know that you and Storm had a fight. But when I saw your condition at that time fear dominated me more... fear of what could happen to you,"

"I'm sorry, I don't know what I'm going to do during those times and I don't want you to worry because I know you're busy," I said.

"You're my fiance, Kiara, and soon-to-be wife, it's only natural for me to worry about you because I love you and don't want you to get hurt."

I snorted. "I know, I know that what I did was wrong."

"Next time please, tell me everything. So I won't be surprised by what's happening. Okay? I don't want it to happen again."

I smiled at him and then slowly nodded. I just finished what I was doing while he was just sitting. When I finished what I was doing, we immediately left my office, because we were talking about going for a walk and eating outside. I can't refuse the man in front of me now.
