Kaye POV

It's been two days since I last saw Storm in a Cafe with his secretary until now I still can't get over how sweet they are to each other. I'm not stupid enough not to know that someone is interceding with them because their gesture wouldn't be like that if only the boss and employee were interceding with them.

I'm currently walking around the mall because I'm going to buy new clothes, I heard that a new shop has opened here. While I was looking at the clothes I noticed a woman who was familiar to me.

I immediately walked towards her before she could completely get away from me. "Kiara?" I called her.

She immediately turned to me. "Kaye,"

I smiled at her and hugged her. "How are you? I miss you." I said.

She hugged me back. "I'm fine, I'm still pretty. I miss you too! I didn't know you were back,'

"I've been here for almost 3 weeks, I'm just taking care of some things so I haven't been able to visit you. Congratulations, I heard that you and Nigel are engaged already," I said.

"Thank you, hmmm. Are you going somewhere? Are you with someone?"

I shook my head. "I'm alone, my friend needs to go somewhere. How about you?" I asked back.

"I'm also alone, Nigel has a meeting,"

"Let's have lunch? So we can talk." I told her.

She agreed, so we walked together and looked for a place to eat, this is what we used to do when his brother and I were still a couple. When she has nothing to do at their house, she will invite me to the mall, so I almost consider Kiara a sister. I don't know if she is also mad at me or has a grudge because of what I did, fortunately, we met so I could explain to her also.

And in the end, we went to a seafood restaurant. It's one of their siblings' favorite food so we used to eat like this often. I just can't help but think about the past.

We looked for an empty table and then ordered food, they said it was a few minutes before it was cooked so we had to wait.

"How is the life of a woman who is already engaged?" my introduction.

"I don't know either, I think nothing changes. We are happy,"

"I'm happy that you two are getting stronger," I said

She smiled at me. "How about you? Do you have a boyfriend?"

I shook my head. "No, you know who the man I fell in love with that's why I came back," I answered her.

She looked at me seriously. "Is it still my brother?"

I nodded. "Even though it's been years, I haven't lost my love for him," I promise.

"But my brother is ---."

"He's mad at me? I know that because we talked already," I said.

I can see the shock in her eyes. "You mean you've met? Have you talked?"

I smiled bitterly. "Yes, I went to his office, but we didn't have a good conversation. He was so angry with me." I said

"Why? Why did you leave her?"

"I have a reason Kiara, I need to go to my parents because we had a problem with our company. I was too worried about my family so I couldn't think straight, I also don't want to tell your brother about our problem," I explained to her.

"But why did you suddenly leave without telling him? You know he would understand you if you just told him the reason,"

"I thought of that thing too late because I was so worried about my family, I didn't think about how Storm would feel, so I accept if he's mad at me," I said.

"You know what he went through because you witnessed it. Since high school and college, you have been together. You know how he suffers because of the death of our parents, you know how my brother mourns for them. You are the one who helped him. I gradually got over it but in the end, you also caused pain and left him. I know that your reason is valid but my brother's emotion is also valid,"

I bowed down. "That's what I didn't think about at the time, so I hurt your brother, which I regret a lot. I already explained to him my reason and he accepted it, but I know he's still angry." I said.

"It's already in the past, I know my brother will accept whatever your reason is since it's about family. He is okay now and I know you both moved on from what happened,"

"What do you mean Kiara?" I ask.

"My brother is happy now, he is now in healthy a relationship,"

I don't know what my reaction will be because of what Kiara said, now I know that Storm is taken because her sister said it herself.

"I still love him, Kia," I say slowly.

"I understand if you still love my brother because you have been together for how many years, but maybe you need to move on already, I know you can find someone for yourself too. My brother's life is fine and he is happy with her. I hope you will not cause them any trouble,"

I tried to smile at her. "It looks like you're close to her new one. I'm not going to make any trouble Kiara, I'm happy for your brother,"

"She's an amazing woman, Kaye, and she's fun to be with, so I'm not surprised that my brother fall in love with her,"

"Who is she? Do I know her? " I ask.

"I think if you went to my brother's office, you already met her. She's Beatrice,"

"Don't tell me that his secretary is his girlfriend?" I asked in disbelief and she nodded.

"H-how did that happen?" I asked again.

"It's a long story, Kaye," she answered.

I was going to speak more but I couldn't because our food order had already arrived.
