Chapter 32: Chapter 32

Kaye POV

It's been two weeks since I went to Storm's office. I still haven't stopped. I go to him almost every day but he often has a meeting or he doesn't want to face me. Sometimes I don't know what to do to get him back, I love him and I won't just give up.

I'm still annoyed with his secretary because every time I go there, I find them together or talking happily, I also see that they almost eat and go home together.

"What are you thinking?" I looked at my friend, Lovely, who sat across from me with our order because we are here at a Cafe.

"I'm just thinking about something," I answered him.

"I won't ask who it is because I already know, but it's been almost two weeks and nothing has happened yet,"

"I know that he's just mad at me but I know we'll be okay," I promise.

"Are you sure about that? Didn't you already tell him the reason why you left and you said you can see on his face that he has almost no interest in knowing that? And then you also mentioned to me that he accepted your reason, but he won't come back to you because he doesn't love you anymore,"

"I don't believe that he doesn't love me anymore even though I've been gone for a long time. We shared many memories and we've been in a relationship for how many years," I said.

"Yes you're in a relationship for how many years but what if he doesn't love you anymore? It's been two weeks that you are visiting him in his company and he almost doesn't want to face you anymore,"

"I know that, but I can't just give up because I know that it's all my fault. We wouldn't be in this situation if I didn't leave him. But maybe he still has some love left for me at least a little bit. I just have to do everything to make him feel closer to me again." I said and drank the frappe.

"I will support your decision Kaye, just don't expect too much because you might get hurt in the end. You know you are my best friend so I don't want you to get hurt,"

I smiled at her. "I know that thing and you know me that I will do everything for the person I love. Storm is the only one I want to be with for the rest of my life so as long as I still see hope, I will not stop." I said.

"I just want to ask, what was his reaction after you explained?"

I sighed. "Typical Storm who doesn't care. But I need to understand because I'm the one who made a mistake here. That's why even though he said that my reason doesn't matter anymore, I insisted that  I still want him to listen to me." I answered her.

"It's hard when you get to the point where you're the only one who hopes or fights but the person who should be your partner is no longer there,"

"In love, two of you must fight, but sometimes it comes to a point where one gets tired or gives up, but you can't let the same thing happen. Sometimes we have to fight for people in the way we know how so they can see their value. It's up to us if we can fight them to the best of our ability." I said.

"But not everything in real life is like that. Sometimes no matter how much you fight for someone, if they don't want you anymore or you are not meant for each other, there is nothing you can do. We need to know when to fight and when to give up. We all have limits, and we all get tired too, so you can't say that you can fight alone until the end, especially if what you're fighting for what's not meant for you,"

"True, but in my case with Storm, I won't give up on him. I know him and I know I can win him back. After all, we've been through, am I going to give up? No! He's an ideal man and my only mistake was letting him go." I said with full determination.

"B-but it looks like he has moved on from you. He's with someone else." I was surprised at what Lovely said and I followed where she was looking.

My lips parted when I saw Storm with that woman again.

"What are you saying? That's his secretary, that's what I always say when I talk to you." I laughed and took a bite of cake.

Lovely raised her eyebrows at me. "Are you serious, is the secretary you are saying? I didn't know that Storm is so sweet to his secretary, Kaye. Can't you see that they are holding each other's hands? Then Storm is supporting the girl,"

I looked again at the place where that woman and Storm were sitting and it was true what Lovely was telling me that they were holding each other's hands and talking happily.

"Maybe that's just one of his flings, you know CEOs, right? That's how they behave when they're bored and Storm is also reported for being a womanizer." I insist.

"We're not sure about that, so what you should do is find out what the connection between the two of them is. Later, it turns out that she's his girlfriend, unbeknownst to you."

I couldn't help but laugh because of what he said. "Don't make me laugh, Lovely, that's not Storm's type of woman," I said.

"We can't be sure about it, Kaye. You know that Storm is also a public figure so you can't say if it was just a fling or something else. You told me that you often see them together. That woman is pretty and sexy also,"

"I don't want to think about that because I know Storm, I know he won't date women like that," I said emphatically and looked back at the two happily talking.

If that woman will replace my place in Storm's life, I won't agree. I will accept that he has many flings because he was a womanizer since I left him, but I can't accept that he has a girlfriend, especially if it's just a secretary.
