Chapter 26: Chapter 26

Storm POV

At first, she became my friend until I confessed to her and luckily she felt the same way so I courted her, now we've been together for a year. I'm so happy and content with my life now, I feel that little by little I've been whole again and I already accepted that my parents are gone. With Bea, I feel so complete.

And now I decided to surprise her and I asked my sister and my best friend to help me do it. Nigel is with me now while Kiara is the one I assigned to take care of Bea.

"I never know that you and Bea will be celebrating your Anniversary now," Nigel suddenly said.

I smiled at him. "I can't imagine that the two of us will last long, because you know she was not my type of girl before," I said.

"I still remember what you said before that you didn't like her but look now you are happy with each other. And I didn't expect you to take her seriously and first since I know you for being a womanizer,"

I sighed and sat next to him. "She became a big part of my life now Nigel, you know I have trust issues since what happened with me and Kaye and I told myself that I will not be serious anymore to any relationship, that's why I keep changing girls," I said.

"And Bea changed that view of yours,"

"Indeed! Who would have thought that I would love someone like her? You know that I am annoyed by her behavior. I just don't know where it all started." I said.

"You just saw your counterpart and that's why you're irritated with her. Because we can't control our heart to whom it will beat,"

"At first she irritates the hell out of me but as time goes on I see her good side. She's a good daughter to her family, she's hard-working, and has a dream in life. She didn't grow up rich but she's brave and persistent so their lives can be improved. Maybe that's why I fell in love with her little by little because she showed the real her and she's not a plastic person." I said.

"And she's good in your health, I mean she's not toxic,"

"Bea also is the one who helped me that night when I broke down again because of my parents. She was right when she told me that it's okay not to be okay all the time and that if I want to continue my new life I need to go out of the darkness to see the light. And that's what I did. I set my parents free and accept that they are already gone because I also want them to be free forever and that will only happen when I'll not let them go and accept that they are long dead." I said.

"Because that's the right thing Storm, they won't be at peace if they still see you struggling until now. Let them rest forever.

Knowing that your parents have a lot of trust in you, you've done enough for your sister and the company and I know that they're proud of you,"

In the middle of the conversation, my phone rang and I saw that Kiara was calling, so I immediately answered it.

"We're on our way,"

"Alright,  you take care of her, be sure she won't notice that there's something happening," I said and hung up.

We only waited for about 20 minutes before Kiara and Bea arrived. I was left here at the venue I rented and only Nigel came out.

Kiara POV

I went to Bea's house to pick her up and invited her to go to the mall. I freed her from the salon so that my brother would fall in love with her even more. She didn't know anything about the surprise we had. The truth is what she knows is that my brother is in a meeting so they can't celebrate today because he can't come home.

When we finished, I called my brother and informed him that we were on our way. When we left the mall, the driver sent by my brother was waiting for us.

"Where exactly are we going, Kiara?" Bea asked me when we got into the car.

"I already told you that I'll take you to meet my friends, right? I know you're not busy since my brother isn't here," I answered her.

"Yes, but I didn't inform Storm that I'm leaving, he'll get mad later, you know your brother's behavior,"

"Don't worry about it, I already told him my plans so he will not be mad at you, we will just celebrate your anniversary without him," I said.

"He'll be back tomorrow, I don't care if we can't celebrate today because I understand that the meeting is important. There are still many days we can spend together."

I smiled because of what said, that's why I like this woman for my brother. I know she can be good to my brother because she is kind, understanding, and caring. I don't have to worry about my brother because I know someone will take care of him.

It took us almost 20 minutes to get to the venue that my brother rented, and as soon as we got off Nigel greeted us.

"Hi babe, is there traffic?" he asked and kissed me on the cheek.

"No," I answered him.

"Nigel? You're here? I thought we would be meeting Kiara's friends. Hey, I don't want to be your third wheel." Bea interjected which made us both laugh.

"I will go with you because I have nothing to do today." my fiance answered.

We pretended that we were going inside, when we entered many people were eating so I knew that Bea wouldn't be surprised because my brother's surprise is in the garden.
