Beatrice POV

I've been wondering about Kiara's actions since she picked me up at home until we went to the mall and now she said we're going to visit her friends.

Today is our first anniversary as a couple but we can't celebrate it together because Storm has an important meeting. At first, he didn't want to attend but I told him that he needed it. He can't neglect their company, we can celebrate anytime.

When we got to the place where Kiara's friends were said to be, Nigel suddenly greeted us which surprised me even more because Kia had not mentioned to me that her fiance is also there.

When we went inside and saw that many people were eating in this restaurant, I lost my suspicion. Kia was holding my arm so I just followed her wherever we were going.

"Where are your friends Kia? Are they here? And where are we going?" I asked her.

"They're still on the way Bea so let's just wait for them and they'll be here soon, we're just a little early so let's go to the garden first," she answered.

"Are you sure this is the way to the garden you're talking about? Why don't there seem to be people and there don't seem to be any lights." I said.

"Of course! I've been here a lot so I know the ins and outs of this place," she answered me so I just let her take me.

As we walked we reached the back of the restaurant, Kiara immediately released her hold on me.

"It's beautiful Kiara, but there's only a little light," I said but I was surprised that I didn't hear a word from her so I turned to her and I didn't see them including Nigel

"Kiara? Nigel? Where are you guys?" I shouted.

I was about to walk out when the two lights that served as lights for where I suddenly went out, causing me to not be able to see very well.

"K-Kiara, don't prank me," I said nervously. I tried to step on my feet little by little because the place was so dark.

"Kiara, it's not funny anymore. Where are you? I'm going to tell this to your brother!" Even though I was nervous I still tried not to stutter.

After a few minutes, the area suddenly became bright, which surprised me. I saw the whole place full of roses and candles, in the middle, there was a table with food and wine.

I frowned at the thought that maybe Kiara and I got into the wrong place, maybe someone else would use it without our knowledge. It's embarrassing when it happens.

"Baby," I heard a voice and I immediately knew who it was. I opened my eyes to look for him and saw him behind me.

"Storm," I called out his name with a smile.

He smiled at me and slowly walked to where I was. "H-how come you're here? You have an important meeting right?" I asked him.

"There is and it was finished yesterday,"

I hit him on the shoulder at the same time as I covered my face with both hands. It's a shame I didn't even buy anything for him.

"Happy Anniversary, Love," he said and then kissed me on the cheek. Then he handed me the flower and the big teddy bear

"Thank you for this baby, Happy Anniversary," I said.

"Did I surprise you?"

I nodded and looked around the garden again. It's very beautiful here and it looks like it was prepared. "You're annoying! You told me we'd meet tomorrow and then you did something like this. I didn't even buy my present for you. It's embarrassing!" I giggled which made him laugh.

"You don't have to give me anything baby, I already have everything and I can't ask for anything more. You and your presence are enough,"

I couldn't stop crying because of what he said. "Why are you crying? Did I do something wrong?" panic was evident in his voice.

I shook my head. "Tears of joy I think? I'm just happy, I never thought that I would experience this. Thank you so much, Storm. Thank you for making my experience about how to be loved by Storm Kyzer Alcantara." I said.

"I should be the one thanking you Bea. Thank you for coming into my life. Thank you for giving me light when I'm in the dark. Thank you for being there for me and for making me realize that I should continue my life and accept that they are already at peace. Thank you for the care and for loving me unconditionally. And most of all thank you for accepting my good and bad side, thank you for making me experience real happiness again,"

And because of what he said, I cried all the time. I never expected that I would be this happy, especially with him. Before I used to be annoyed with him and irritated because of his bad behavior but what I can say now is that he is different, if you will know him better.

I know that he just went through some things that made him the way he is. His behavior has become a defense mechanism because he doesn't want to show others that he is weak and hurt. He suffered a lot and he deserves what he has now, he deserves all the happiness the world could give.

He led me to the center where the table was and asked me to sit there. "Where are they, Kiara and Nigel? I was with them earlier," I asked him.

"They already left," he answered me.

"That's why Kiara picked me up at the house early, she is an accomplice in your plan." I snorted.

We started eating while talking about what we had been through in life. This is one of the things I like about our relationship because he is not only my boyfriend but also my best friend.

"I have something for you," he promised.

"Hmmm, what is it?" I asked him.

He stood up and walked towards me. I turned to face him and saw him take something from his pocket. He turned me back and I just felt something cold on my neck.

When I looked at it I saw a necklace with my initials on it and diamond designs. "B-baby, this is too much," I said while rubbing the design of the gift he gave.

"It suits you well baby. It's my gift for you,"

"I don't have a present for you yet," I said.

"Don't think about that thing, material things aren't important to me. As long as I'm with you, I'm happy,"

"I'll still buy you." I insist.

He shook his head while smiling. "Can I have a dance for an amazing woman like you?" I nodded to him and extended my hand to his outstretched hand.
