Kiara POV

I was going to my brother's office to get my gifts because he and Bea left and went to another country because of a meeting they even extended their stay for two days so they only came home yesterday. My brother and I didn't meet at home because I didn't come home either.

"Hi sister-in-law," I greeted Bea when I saw her at her table.

"Hey, what's up Kia," she said.

I laughed. "Why are you surprised to see me here? It's like you've seen a ghost,"

"If you're looking for your brother, he's inside,"

"I know, I called him before I came here. Anyway, how was your vacation? I know the meeting was only supposed to be for 3 days, but you stayed there for a week." I said.

"Your brother wants to rest first, so we just extended a few days before coming back here,"

"Hmmm, how was the honeymoon?" I tease her.

"What's with that question? You're crazy," she said while laughing.

"Why are you blushing? You know it's cold in the place you went, dear, you can't just stare at each other the whole time, right?" I said.

"You're a dirty-minded woman, nothing happened!"

I burst out laughing because it was obvious that she was embarrassed. "It's only natural for the couples to do that thing,"

"Go inside!" She pushed me away.

So I just let her and went straight inside my brother's office. "Hi, brother." I greeted him.

"Why are you here?" he asked.

"I went to Monteverde's Company but Nigel's has a meeting so I decided to be here," I answered him.

"What are you doing in his office? Shouldn't you be at the boutique?"

"I took something from him, isn't he helping me in a branch? So where's my pasalubong now?" I asked him.

"In our house."

"What the hell bro! I thought you brought it!" I grumbled.

"We only share one house, so why should I bring it here if you're going home? I'll just get tired,"

"You're annoying, I thought I was here in your office! Anyway, how's the trip or shall I say your date?" I asked.

He looked at me. "Date?"

"Duh! As far as I know, your meeting is only for three days but you extend your stay there," I said.

"Isn't it possible to extend it? And then we were just there so we decided to stay for a couple of days to make another happy memory,"

I smiled at him. "I'm so happy for you brother," I said.

He looked at me. "What do you mean?"

"What I mean is that I am happy with you now because you have finally seen the woman you will love again. I still remembered what you said that Bea was not your type of woman but she became your girlfriend," I teased him.

He laughed because of what I said. "Because that's the truth and you know it. I never thought that I would fall for that woman without even realizing it,"

"Because we can't stop our heart from beating for someone, right? Destiny has its own way," I said.

My brother and I talked some more before he went back to his work while I just stayed sitting here on his mini sofa while facing my laptop.

While I was reading the sales report, I couldn't help but look at my brother. It's obvious on his face that he's happy and not stressed, Bea has been helping him a lot since they were in a relationship. It's true what they say that sometimes it's good to have different attitudes. Now I notice that my brother doesn't have a hot temper anymore and when he gets mad, Bea calms him down quickly.

But I also can't stop thinking about what Nigel and I talked about last time, because we found out that Kaye is coming back here. I don't know what could happen when he comes back, knowing that they haven't had closure. What if she still loves my brother? The two of them have been together for a long time, almost how many years, and I know that it is not easy to forget that.

I just don't want to see my brother hurt again just because of a woman, I can see that he and Bea love each other. Kaye is no different from us because she has become a part of our lives. My brother and I have known her since high school and they went to the same college even though they took different courses. She witnessed how miserable my brother was and she did not leave him. She made him feel the love and care that my brother deserves but everything got destroyed when she left him without even a word so it also had a big impact on my brother.

Until now, we still don't know the reason why she suddenly left, but for me, I wish she had said or at least said goodbye to my brother so that he wouldn't have been hurt too much. The only thing I'm worried about now is if she still loves my brother because there might be a problem with his relationship with Bea when Kaye comes back, knowing that she will do everything just to get my brother back by chance. I just hope they get over it when it happens.

I like Beatrice for my brother, she's pretty and smart and above all, she can calm my brother. She accepts my brother even in his moments of darkness and bad behavior. I admit that my brother also has a bad attitude but it's really in his genes because he inherited it from our father.
