Storm POV

I've been noticing Bea's nervousness for a while now. From the time I picked her up at their house until we got to the venue of the event, she was restless so I couldn't help but laugh because of her appearance.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked her.

"Nothing, I'm nervous. I told you not to take me with you anymore and I'm not used to this," she answered me.

"I told you just be yourself, right? You don't have anything else to do at the event other than accompany me. You'll get used to it." I said.

"You can only take Nigel or Kiara with you," she snorted.

"You know they're busy right now so you can't disturb them," I said. "Don't worry too much baby, everything will be alright," I added.

It wasn't long before we arrived at the venue, because it was the birthday of one of my investors.

I checked Bea and nervousness is still evident on her face. I know she's not used to this but I have to train her so that if it lasts she won't be shy anymore.

We entered the venue together and just as I had in mind, there were many guests, especially since this family is also known in the business field.

"Good evening Mr. Alcantara, it's good that you were able to attend." Mr. Lopez greeted me. It was his birthday today.

"Good evening to Mr. Lopez and Happy birthday. Here's my gift." I said and handed him the gift I bought.

"Thank you, Storm, you shouldn't have brought any gifts. Just your presence is fine," he said.

I saw him looking at my side. "And who is this beautiful woman beside you?" he asked me.

"She's Beatrice, my girlfriend," I answered him.

"Your girlfriend is beautiful. I think you must always bring her to events and introduce her to others," his wife said, " I know her because she was one of my college classmates.

I smiled at her. "You know me, Niks, I'm always good at choosing to be my girlfriend Besides, she's not used to these kinds of events, so it's good that I forced her to come with me now," I said and laughed.

It wasn't long before the party started, I just held Bea's hand so she wouldn't be too nervous. Later, the couple went on stage to give a speech.

"Thank you very much to everyone who greeted and attended my birthday celebration today. I know that almost all of you are busy but you still managed to be with me to celebrate. I also want to thank Mr. Storm Kyzer Alcantara for attending tonight because I know he has a full schedule but you are here today with us." Hearing what he said, the guests who were there, including me, laughed.

"Are you okay?" I asked Bea who was silent next to me.

She looked at me and smiled. "I'm fine, I'm not nervous anymore but I'm still shy,"

"I told you you don't need to be shy and I won't leave you," I said.

Later Mr. Lopez came to me. "Excuse me, Mr. Alcantara, can I invite you to my friends and other business partners? They also want to talk to you," he said.

I looked at Bea. "Do you want to come, babe?" I asked her.

"No, I'll just stay here and wait for you to come back. You can go now,"

I nodded and adjusted my coat and then stood with Mr. Lopez. I knew that Bea would be okay and I saw Niks approach her

Beatrice POV

When Storm left, I fixed myself, the party was not boring. I'm just really ashamed, especially knowing that most of the guests here are wealthy people.

"Hi Bea," I heard a voice greet me.

I looked to my side and saw Niks, the wife of Mr. Lopez. "Hello, Niks." I greet back.

"Are you okay? Aren't you bored?" she asked me and sat next to me.

I shook my head. "I'm fine, I'm just not used to parties like this." I honestly said.

"That's okay. Just train yourself, you know Storm is a businessman so it's natural that there are gatherings like this,"

"Yes, at first I really don't want to come because I'm really shy but I don't want to reject Storm," I said.

"You two look good together, I just saw you today, so I didn't know that Storm is already in a relationship though I know many woman wants to be his girl,"

I looked at her. "Storm and I have only been together for a few months, that's why," I answered.

"Oh, don't let Storm go. I can see that you love each other and you're a good match. You look nice, unlike Kaye,"

"Kaye?" I asked her to make sure that she was referring to a person who I knew.

"Kaye is his ex. No offense girl,"

I laughed. "That's fine, I know her also. Storm told me about her," I said.

"Yes, girl, because Storm had many exes and flings, but the one who has been his girlfriend for a long time is Kaye,"

"But why do you look annoyed with her?" I ask.

"That girl is kind anyway, but she also has a bit of a bitchiness to her, so it's irritating sometimes," she said laughing.

We talked some more, luckily Niks was here so at least I had someone to talk to. It turned out that Storm was his classmate in college and they became friends so somehow he knew her. And as for Storm, it looks like he's going to last a long time and that doesn't matter to me because I know the world they live in.
