Kiara POV

It's been five months since everything happened in our lives, I'm thankful because my son didn't have any trauma and he quickly forgot what happened to him. We also went on vacation because that's what Nigel wanted so we could have time as a family. As for Kaye, she immediately surrendered herself to the police, she also apologized to all of us several times and she is ready to pay for what she did, but her sentence was short because we did not file a case against her, only my brother. Even though she did something wrong to us, we can feel her remorse and she is ready to change her life. Little by little she is also accepting that she needs to move because my brother is happy now with his life. She has also talked to her parents and when she gets out of jail they will take her to another country. "What are you thinking?" I came back to my senses when I saw my brother standing at the door of my room. We just came back from vacation yesterday.

I smiled at him. "I just thought about the things I went through, the things that happened in our lives," I answered him briefly.

He walked closer and sat next to me. "I'm so proud of you Kiara, you had a great fight," he said softly.

"You raise me, well brother, without you I don't know what my life could be. You are the reason why I am strong today. You never left and gave up on me when I couldn't handle the problems anymore. I don't know how to thank you because for me that wouldn't be enough." I said.

He looked at me seriously. "Just happy that's is enough for me, that's one of my wishes for you, to have your own family. You become a better version of yourself and I'm so happy because I was a part of it. Your happiness is my happiness, Kiara,"

"I'm so lucky to have a brother who can pick me up when I'm down and broken, to have a brother who is ready to do everything for me and my happiness. I'm so so lucky to have you in my life and no words can express how much I'm thankful. I love you." tears started to fall from my eyes.

"Don't cry my princess, tomorrow you will start your new journey in life. You will get married,"

What he said made me cry. "I will miss you brother, I know that we will see each other all the time, but it's different when I'm with you in the same house. If I can just stay here I will, I don't know if I can leave you alone." I said.

He slowly held my face and made me face him. "Kiara, you will be getting married. You will be Mrs. Monteverde. Didn't I tell you that the day will come when you will have your own family? So you, Nigel, and your son should be together. This house is always open for you, you can come here at any time. I will still always be here for you even if you get married. "I'm still your crybaby brother. I'll always run to you when Nigel and I will fight or have a misunderstanding," I said laughing.

He shook his head while smiling. "I think I'll need to advise Nigel to have a long patience starting tomorrow, I know you will give him a headache,"

I hit him on the shoulder. "You're so mean to me, it's like you're saying that Nigel is so unlucky to have me," I snorted.

"I trusted him, he will protect and take care of you and Chase. I know that he loves you so much and you're in good hands. I know he will be a good husband and a father. So I can finally let you both go and give it to him,"

He messed up my hair. "I know you will be a good wife and mother like mom. "Yes brother, I've already learned, But of course when I'm in a bad mood or I sulk with Nigel I'll be here," I said and leaned my head on his shoulder, to be honest, I'm still nervous because I won't be able to be with my brother all the time because of course I'll have my own family but I know that I can handle the new life I'm about to enter.
