Kiara POV

I almost fainted because it was exactly three o'clock when I arrived at the airport. I thought I could still make it because I still had time before leaving the house but it looked like I was already late. I fell to the floor with tears in my eyes. I don't care about the people who are looking at me because they don't know me and I didn't bring them here either.

That man is annoying! The tendency to make decisions alone, not even thinking about how we will feel.

"Kiara?"

I was surprised when I heard that voice. "N-Nigel," I said.

He quickly came to me and then stood me up. "Get up Ki, what are you doing?" he asked me.

"I thought you had already left. My brother said your flight was at 3 pm." I said.

"Yes it should be 3 pm in case my flight is delayed so I have to wait again. And why are you here?" he explained.

And because of his question, I slapped him hard which surprised him. "Kiara!" he couldn't believe it.

"You're a jerk!" I shouted at him.

"What did I do?"

"You're going to leave without even saying a word? Are you so annoyed or angry with me that you can't even say goodbye? Can't you stand my behavior anymore? You're always like that, you are inclined to leave. " I cried in front of him.

"Ki."

"Why are you so quick to abandon me? Why are you so quick to leave me? Am I such a worthless person that you want to hurt me again and again?" I scolded him. The only pain is that he leaves without even saying anything.

He pulled me and hugged me tightly, I tried to struggle but he held me even tighter. "Y-you're so unfair Nigel. You wanted to hurt me." I said more.

I cried on his chest for a few more minutes. I'm still annoyed by what he did, if my brother hadn't told me, I wouldn't have known anything about it. Later, he loosened his grip on me, he touched my cheek. "I will never turn my back on you again Kiara, I will never do what I did before,"

"No? You think that you are leaving now and not turning away?" I said.

"Babe, listen to me, it's not because I'm leaving, I'm giving up on you because that thing won't happen. You and Chase are my life and I won't allow you to disappear from my life again. The company just needs me so I'm going home,"

"But why does my brother need to know that you're leaving? You've been to the house a few times but you haven't mentioned anything to me,"

"I thought it didn't matter to you whether or not you knew I was leaving, so I didn't tell you,"

"Are you that stupid? Do you think that if you didn't care about me, I would be here right now in front of you? You're selfish! It's always your decision that you want to follow! I don't know why I still loved you no matter how hard I tried. In my mind I want to forget you but I can't because I still really love you. Even though I get hurt again and again because of you, I'm still ready to forgive you and accept you in my life. I'm so fragile when it comes to you!"

I saw him smile. "Do you still love me?"

My eyes widened because of what he said. I was so annoyed with him that I couldn't stop my mouth from speaking. "Damn you!" I said.

"It just feels good to hear from you that you still love me,"

I slapped him again out of annoyance. "What the hell Kiara!" he snorted at me and I was about to slap him again when he grabbed my hand. "Another slap from you Kiara and you will regret it. My cheek was already hurting," he added.

"Fcuk you!" I shouted at him

"How many times do I have to tell you not to curse?"

"Because you're so stupid!" I said.

"What? You're going to call me the CEO of Monteverde stupid?" he almost couldn't believe it.

"Yes!" I snorted.

"Then why are you here? Then I should go now." He was about to leave when I pulled him again and punched him.

"Fuck Kiara!" he shouted at me loudly while holding his jaw so I covered my face with my hands and started crying again. He seems angry with me.

"I'm so-sorry,"  I said and turned back. I shouldn't be here in the first place. I heard him calling me but I didn't look back. Until I felt him violently pulling me and making me face him.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell at you,"

"It's o--okay, it's my fault," I said while sobbing.

"Look at me Ki," he promised and then touched my face.

"J-just go now," I looked at him and smiled a little.

"How can I leave if you're like this?"

"You're used to not being with me, maybe you don't miss me anymore. I just... I just thought that... I thought you loved me as you told me. Maybe I was just carried away. You've lived alone for a few years, so I'm sure I'm no longer part of your life and your dreams." I smiled at him but tears continued to fall from my eyes.

"Kiara, everything I told you is true and I will never lose my love for you. From then until now, you are the only woman I want to marry and be with for the rest of my life. Even though I haven't been with you in years, what I've reached now, you're always part of it. You're one of the reasons why I've reached what I have, you've been my inspiration in everything I do,"

"B-but why are you leaving? Is it just because of the company or do you have some other reason? Are you tired of me?" I asked.

He sighed and looked at me. "I'm leaving, but that doesn't mean I'm tired of you, because what you think won't happen. Didn't I tell you that I'll make up for all my shortcomings and I'll wait for the day when you're ready and you can forgive me? I want you to be able to think straight without worrying about others? I want you to heal yourself, babe. I don't want to pressure you. I promise I will wait for you until you are completely okay. I will wait for you no matter how long it takes because I love you and I want our family to be complete. And that will only happen when you're finally fine when you've forgiven me for the mistakes I've done, and when you're ready to accept me in your life again,"

"But how can I do that without you? You told me that you would accompany me to everything, but why are you saying goodbye now?" I said while crying.

"I will still be with you, even though I am far from you I will still communicate with you and our son. Babe, you need to face what you are afraid of so that you can be stronger. You need to heal alone and that will help when I am far away because I know I was one of the reasons for that. I will always call you. I love you so much, Princess,"

"Promises are meant to be broken," I exclaimed weakly.

He smiled at me. "I made a wrong decision once in my life so I lost you and I can't allow myself to repeat that mistake. You will be going home to the Philippines after Storm's project. I promise you that we will fix our family, just like what I promised at the graves of Uncle Thunder and Aunt Jewel that I will take care of you and love you more than my life and I will fulfill it." he said. "Please don't cry my love, it hurts seeing you cry," he added.

"You're the only one who always makes me cry," I said.

"Stop pouting or else I'll kiss you here, I won't mind if I will be late for my flight." he teases me.

I hit him, sometimes this man's mouth has no brakes, and he and my brother are really friends. "Get out of my sight! You are irritating me." I shouted at him.

"Do you want to leave? You can tell me you don't,"

"You are the one who said that the company needs you, so why should I stop you? I know that you also have a responsibility." I said.

"But you and Chase are my priority,"

"Stop it, Nigel, you can go now," I said.

He looked at his watch. "I still have time to be with you,"

"And you didn't even tell your son that you were leaving," I said.

"He already knows about it,"

"What? And he didn't even tell me? I'm the only one who doesn't know?" I said.

"Don't be mad babe, I told him not to tell you. I'm sorry, I didn't know you'd be angry,"

"Is my slap and punch at you enough, right?" I said.

"Don't you dare Princess Kiara! I'm telling you one more move of your hand on my face and I'll make sure you won't be able to walk properly. I don't care if I will be late for my flight or can't leave,"

I swallowed several times because of what he said. I know how much of a beast he is when it comes to bed so I'm sure he'll believe what he says. Do you know him?
