Kiara POV

My day is ruined every day because whenever I see Nigel here at home, I can't stop him because of our son. And another thing that adds to my annoyance is my brother who did nothing but teases me because he found out one day. If only it were possible to disown my brother, but of course, I won't do that.

And now I've been struggling because I don't know where we're going with this jerk, it looks like my brother helped him, because Storm told me earlier that I should go with Nigel to go with them but it's a different way we spell now.

"I've been asking you where you're taking me but you're not answering. Can you take me back  home and maybe my brother will look for me." I said.

"Storm won't look for you because I already informed him," he promised.

"Wow! But you didn't ask me if I wanted to go with you." I said.

"Because I know you won't agree."

"You know that, so why did you continue? I don't have any plans to go anywhere with you. I'm already avoiding myself." I said.

"I know, please Kiara give me this day to be with you,"

I sighed. "Is there anything else I can do, you brought me," I said?

He smiled at me. "I just want to enjoy today and tomorrow I promise I'll take you home,"

I looked at him. "Tomorrow? Don't tell me we won't be home later."

"Yes, as I said, St storm and our son allow it. Please, Ki, give this time to me. Can we forget everything today? Can we enjoy this day like we used to? Can you pretend that you're not mad at me but instead in love with me? Even just today Ki,"

"Fine," I answered and then looked away from him. Maybe there's nothing wrong if I give it to him, he just said, and only today. Maybe I will give myself first and then go back to the way it was before.

"Thank you, baby." I heard him say that but I didn't answer. I just closed my eyes and went to sleep.

I don't know how long I slept, I just woke up when I felt Nigel rocking me.

"Wake up! We're here," he said.

"Where are we?" I asked him.

"In a private resort?"

"What?" I asked him.

"I rent this for one day, so we're the only ones here,"

"Are you crazy? I hope you didn't rent the whole place, we're only here for one day. I hope you didn't waste money." I said.

He smiled at me. "I don't care about money, it's worth it if you're with me. So even if I spend a lot, it's fine for the woman I love."

I ignored what he said and then got out of the car. The resort is beautiful, as is the view. I'm sure he paid a lot for it, I know he can afford it because he's rich but I just regret it.

"Do you like it?" he asked me.

I nodded. "What a beautiful choice you made," I said.

"Let's go?"

And we went in together, he brought our things. I didn't know that Bea had already arranged the things I needed to bring. Earlier I was worried because I didn't even have anything with me, but Nigel said that I already had.

We entered one of the big rooms at the resort and Nigel put down our things. "Don't tell me we'll only use one room and one bed?" I asked him.

"Why not? We used to share one room and one bed in the past, right?"

"I know that but that was then and it's different now," I said.

I saw sadness in his eyes. "I thought you agreed earlier that we should go back to what we were before, even just now, but.. but if that's what you want I will just get another room," he said and was about to leave when I grabbed his arm to stop him so he looked at me in surprise.

I smiled at him. "I didn't say anything, right? I'm just asking. You don't need to get another room, that's just an expense. We can share, we're the only guests today and there's one more for today." I said and he nodded.

"Do you want to get dressed?" he asked.

"Why?" I asked him.

"Maybe you like it before we go around the place, all I know is that except for the pool at the bottom, there is a sea here so I'm sure you'll like it."

"Sure, I'll just change my clothes first," I said.

"Take your time, I'll just wait for you,"

"Aren't you going to get dressed?" I asked him.

"Alright go ahead." I nodded and looked for something to wear in the bag and went straight to the bathroom. I chose to wear a swimsuit and just put on shorts. When I finished I immediately went out. I saw him staring at me without speaking.

"Are you okay Nigel?" I asked him.

"Y-yes."

"Doesn't what I'm wearing suit me?" I asked.

"Y-you're hot,"

I bowed down because I didn't want him to see the blush on my cheeks.

"Don't hide from me that you are thrilled by what I said, it's like you don't know that I know you when you're like that," he promised so I snorted.

"Let's go?"

"Where did you get dressed?" I asked as we walked.

"Room, I thought you were going to take a while."

We just kept walking and I can tell that the place we are in is beautiful. It seems that he prepared this walk for us,

"Fortunately, I rented the whole place." he suddenly exclaimed while we were walking.

"Why?" I asked.

"I just want to see you dressed like that, I don't want others, especially boys, to see you dressed like that. You're too perfect in my eyes,"

I hit him on the shoulder. "Let's go so we can go around the whole place."

Nigel POV

It's just that the day is fast and now it's almost night but it's okay because I'm with the woman I love. I'm happy because she agreed to what I wanted so somehow I experienced again what we used to be like. I know that there is no guarantee that we will get along even if we have a child, but whatever Kiara's decision will be in the end, I will accept it.

"What are you thinking?" I asked her because I noticed that she was quiet.

"Nothing, I was just thinking about what happened earlier. Thank you, Nigel," she answered.

"Are you happy?" I ask.

"Of course, it's been a while since we last did those things and I haven't been free for a few years, so I'm only now able to go out properly again,"

"I'm glad to see you happy," I said.

"Why only me? Aren't you happy for yourself and not for other people?"

I smiled. "It's not like that, of course, there's a reason why I'm here. The reason why I rented this place is because of you because I want to bring you here. And it's also true that I'm happy because I'm with you, I'm happy because you agreed to let's go back to what we were before," I said.

She quickly looked away. "It's been a long time, hasn't it? Since that thing happened to us. I hardly noticed the time and day anymore. I still felt sorry for my brother even though he didn't have to stay here but he choose to be with me,"

"Storm loves you because you are his sister, you are more important than anything else. He is willing to give up everything just for you." I said.

She nodded and looked at the sky. "I know, my brother sacrifices a lot. And I only ask for one thing for him, that he will be happy forever, that he will never get hurt. I know he is happy now and living his life to the fullest but as her sister, I still can't stop thinking about him, we don't know what can happen in the next few days, like what will happen to us, we never thought we would be separated. And I don't want to see him suffer anymore. I saw how my brother broke down and it hurts me like hell, because... I know that I was the reason for it. If only I had been stronger I wouldn't have been led to that, I hope my brother didn't have a hard time,"

I held her hand and she didn't complain about it. "You are Storm's princess and gem, that's why he did that. It's not uncommon for us men to cry and break down, especially when we can't take the pain anymore, sometimes you have to let out what you've been hiding to reduce it somehow. I admire Storm, despite him being a jerk sometimes but he's a loving man." I said.

"Indeed! Maybe it's because my brother inherited my dad's behavior so he won't lose his grumpy and arrogant attitude sometimes but of course, when it comes to important people he is the best. He's not only my brother but he is my hero, he is my first love and he is also my first heartbreak because it hurts me more when I see him hurt. After all, he doesn't deserve that thing. And at a young age, he became a parent to me, and became the CEO of the company while he was still mourning and broken because of our parent's death,"

"That's all Storm can do, he needs to be strong to everyone just so he can show that he's strong. And he doesn't want to show you that he's hurt because you're the only one he's holding onto with his strength, he doesn't want you to feel how he feels. And I will always be proud of Storm, not because he's my best friend but because I know what he went through since Uncle and Aunt died, but he raised you well." I said.

"I'm so lucky to have a brother like him even in the afterlife. I will still choose him as my brother, as well as my parents. I will forever choose to be born as Alcantara,'

"You have also been brave so I know that your brother is also proud of you. That you overcame all the painful and bitter things that happened in your life. I was just surprised when she suddenly pulled me into the pool so I ended up swimming in no time. "The hell Kiara," I said and she just laughed.

"It's because I'm talking but you're not listening, you're deep in thought," she said laughing.

"I'm just thinking something, I didn't know you were saying something," I said.

"How would you know because you're not listening?" she tortured me so I just laughed.

"Are you already drunk?" I asked her while we were swimming.

"I'm not, I only drank a little, you drink more than me,"

"I'm a man so it's okay." my defense.

"You're just a drunkard!" she snorted at me.

"When did I get drunk?" I asked her.

She was quiet as if he was thinking. "When we were together, you didn't get drunk that quickly, but you know you're already drunk,"

I laughed. "How many times," I said.

"Hmm? When was that? You have a high tolerance when it comes to alcoholic drinks,"

"When we parted when you left," I answered.

She snorted so I laughed again.
