Chapter 45: Chapter 45
Kaya’s POV
I reached for my towel, wrapping it around my body and then dried my hair with the other before towering it up and walking out of the room.
After I changed into my pajamas, texting ally for a while before quitting and deciding it was high time to rest.
Sleep came easily tonight. I slept well.
I think I remembered some faint rattles across my window but I believe it was just the wind.
The sun came up the next day and just like that it was Mr Tuesday.
I brushed past the usual swarm of students to the lunch table sitting next to Ally who was nose deep in a book.
"Still reading about Lycans? You've never been the same after we went to legions house"
She looked up at me with a faint smile before it was quickly erased, “speaking of the devil" she said scowling.
I didn't have to turn because legion plopped into the seat right next to me
A smile found its way across my lips involuntarily as he stared at me, as if still wondering if we were all good.
Yes we were, but he still had a lot of catching up to do before anything could happen between us.
"You" Ally spat.
"Chill tink, he is all good,” I eased watching how Legion suddenly relaxed at my words.
Ally's eyes widened, "since when?"
"Yesterday. I promise I'm on good behavior" Legion replied smirking, he offered her his hand, "we good?" He asked.
She looked at me suspiciously and I nodded in approval.” I'll have to see it for myself first" she said though reluctantly shaking his hand.
He grinned in reply turning back to me, we started at each other for a while before we started talking about random things
Strangely I enjoyed his company more than I thought, beneath legions scary demeanor was a care free boy.
He made me laugh more times during that lunch than I had the whole week, and I could tell Ally was holding in a few laughs of her own.
**
After lunch Ally and I made our way back to our locker.
"I can't believe you forgave him,” Ally muttered watching Legion walk away from us.
Something about an urgent call from Caleb. He wouldn't be attending lessons today.
I didn't bother to ask how he could just leave without permission. I had long decided Legion was way too mysterious for me to solve.
I grinned, "We talked it out"
She rolled her eyes as we approached the lockers," I wonder what he said that got you to change your mind so fast"
I paused thinking about it for a second, “I guess it isn't something he said, it's how he said it" I explained thinking back.
I closed my locker turning back to Ally who was still getting her stuff, "huh really?"
I nodded as she locked her locker.
"Alright I'll see you after school,” she waved as she headed to her next class.
I waited a minute watching her disappear into the crowd of students before I left for my own.
My phone buzzed in my left pocket and with much struggle I managed to check the message while holding on to my books with my left hand.
Aunt Lily: I'll be home late tonight
I was about text back when I tripped and went crashing into someone. I felt my books slip from my arms and land splat on the floor and I heard something shatter as I missed my footing.
I was falling, only one thing went through my mind. I hope it isn't my iPhone that's cracked!
I had a Deja Vu moment as well, the time when I almost died. When Mr. Jerk face almost run me over, those few seconds I thought I had died.
That's how I felt like now, seconds passed and I was waiting for both the pain and humiliation.
**************************
There was only one good thing about wearing these large shades on today.
Being able to look at her without worrying whether Edwin, Alessia or Khloe would notice.
The moment they stepped out of the car they had spotted her as she was entering the school building. They watched her walk through the halls on her way to her first class. Saw her head to the cafeteria with her friend Ally, and probably would have stared at her there two if it wasn't for the fact that Khloe suggested they go to the nearest restaurant and eat there. Something about cafeteria food being unhealthy.
They had arrived back on school grounds ten minutes before the next class and we're currently in the halls.
Khloe was in the bathroom with Alessia and opted to meet them by their lockers.
Azian felt a soft buzz in his ear and he immediately looked up. There she was again walking toward them, she wore a pair of dark curve hugging jeans and cute flower top. Her hair dropped to her shoulders in soft waves.
She was so beautiful, her expressions changed so perfectly whilst she read whatever it was from her phone.
A thought crossed his mind.
Maybe if he brushed past her, if Alpha felt a little part of her he would talk. Finally say something today.
It was a perfect idea, she was already heading their way.
"Are you listening?" Edwin asked ignoring the usual stares from the girls that walked past them.
"W-what?" Azian asked halfheartedly his eye focused on the approaching girl.
"You know I know you're starting at her, I have good eyesight" Orion stated his eyes shimmering a light purple momentarily causing Azian to lose his focus on the girl to glance at him.
It only took a second.
Alpha was truly an ass.
To think both Azian and Omega truly thought he was giving them the silent treatment.
No, he had only be waiting the perfect moment.
He had enough of Azian and Omega messing up his chances, he was taking matters into his own hands.
His possession was HIS and he would have her.
Screw his host, screw his power, they were nothing without him anyway.
He pushed them back easily, she was so close to them now, and all he had to do was a little...magic.
Azian watched all this like a movie from the back of his mind. The way Aloha manipulated the elements, he watched as Kaya tripped on 'air'.
She lost her balance and they saw her once peaceful expression turn to one of horror as she realized she was going to fall. She reached out grabbing the closest thing she could to establish her.
It so happens that thing was them.
Alpha played along easily, he was going to let her fall.
She had to end up in his arms somehow.
He grabbed a hold of her waist flipping them over easily.
They landed on the floor. Kaya had fallen right on top of him, he lay between her and the floor like a pillow.
He did let her fall. But he made sure she wasn't hurt.
Alpha gazed at her, his eyes shone a bright gold, unaware that his glasses had long fallen off.
Her hair was draped around him in soft balls, her eyes were shut tightly remembering him of the first time he had ever seen him.
Her hands clutched on to his jacket tightly a slight shiver to them.
She no makeup at all except the light sheet of strawberry gloss that glazed her lips.
At least he was sure there were strawberry. He would have to taste it too see otherwise.
He licked his lips at the sinful thought.
His eyes hungrily taking in the sight before him.
Azian had been pissed when he was pushed away now he didn't mind at all. He could stay down here staring at his gift for centuries.
Nothing else mattered.
Alpha reached his hand brushing her hair to the side, "let me in kaya" he whispered. His fingers twisted in her hair, memorizing the texture.
He watched as her face morphed into confusion before slowly opening her eyes, her eye lids fluttering.
Alpha smiled as he faded away, willing letting Azian take charge again, allowing the golden orbs so dissolve into his usual blue one's.
After a second of staring at each other, she started muttering a thousand apologies immediately taking herself of him.
It was only then when Azian realized they had drawn a rather large crowd.
"I am so- so sorry. I- was looking at my phone a-and I-I-d-didn’t see you, I swear...I’m so clumsy!" She stuttered as he lifted himself up.
She grabbed her books and frowned, embarrassment flooding her cheeks, “your glasses" she gasped, a hand slapping over her mouth.
“Its fine" he managed to say, he still couldn't keep his eyes off her. He glanced at the broken glances momentarily it's nothing omega couldn't fix in a second.
He watched her humorously as she literally froze before him glancing around them at the crowd before literally sprinting away.
He couldn't stop the grin that plastered itself onto his face not caring if anyone saw, turning to his side only to be met with Edwin’s ever attentive eyes.
