Chapter 44: Chapter 44

Abigail flipped the pancakes over and scrambled the eggs before placing a very large plate before Edwin

Edwin grinned at the sight ignoring Alessia usual taught, she didn't have a dragon to feed.

"Thanks Abigail,”

"Orion's got to eat something, baby” She coed brushing past Anna who place an equally large cup of coffee before him

Anna checked her time before glancing upstairs, “where’s Azian? If he takes any longer he will have to miss breakfast and head straight to school"

Edwin paused as he savored the taste of chocolate dipped pancakes, " uhmm, let me check on him,” he offered reluctantly as Orion begged him to continue eating.

"Sit down Edwin, I'll do it" Abigail countered taking off her apron.

"No need, here comes Mr popular now," Alessia announced rolling her eyes as she took in a spoon full of ice cream

All three looked up stairs and Azian descended. His hair was shriveled up and his stance was staggered, he wore dark pair of sun glasses hardening his jaw as he walked into their company.

Abigail watched him curiously as he took a seat in his usual place. He didn't bother to greet anyone and his head was bowed low.

"Are you drunk?" Abigail asked putting one hand on her hip, watching his crouched position, shoulders humped.

"Busted" Alessia giggled as she watched the scene. There were only a few moments she had ever seen Azian mess up and they were always classic

Anna glanced at her daughter, her eyebrows furrowing, “and who said you could eat ice cream for breakfast?" She scolded grabbing it away from her.

Abigail turned back to Azian, “Azian, I asked you a question"

"No,” he replied simply. He had tasted some beer earlier but everybody knew Dragons didn't get drunk easily, in fact it was hard for any supernatural creature to get drunk. Unless of course it was brewed where the beer comes strongest, the valleys of Riota.

But this was earth, such did not exist. The people here were weak minded and so was their alcohol.

Abigail huffed taking his glasses off, there was no way anyone would get drunk under her roof. If she had to kick a dragon king’s ass she would. None of that nonsense in her house.

.she gasped when she saw him and everyone followed with her. Azian eyes we're a dim blue, he had dark circles underneath his eyes if anything he looked sick.

"Son of a dragon" Alessia cursed as she watched him,” is it just me or is he sick but still looks good?" She asked glancing at everyone.

It wasn't fair to anyone in this world that someone could be sick and still look smoking hot.

Azian sighed placing his glasses back on, “just failed to sleep" he muttered.

Edwin glanced at him knowingly, seems like his possession didn't let him in last night.

What he didn't understand is how Azian went from his usual nightmares and no sleep, however still waking up and looking exceptionally okay to spending a few nights with Kaya, looking very okay then when deprived by just two days he looked like he had been run over by a bus repeatedly.

It was like some sort of strange addiction.

That made him freeze for a second, could he be getting obsessed with her?

He shook his head, it had only been four days, and from that four, two he spent away from her.

It couldn't be that quick...could it?

"Why didn't you sleep tonight?" Abigail asked him clearly worried. The boy looked like he hadn't slept in days. She had noticed him yesterday but he hadn't look half as bad as he did now.

Concern flooded her every nerve. What if he was sick? Azian had never gotten sick since that fateful day when she had first met him.

She worried what it would take to heal him now. Or if she was powerful enough to even try anymore.

Omega was not the youngling he used to be. Yes he was lazy at times but his power surpassed hers by far.

"Maybe you should stay in today. Get some rest,”

Azian shook his head, the last thing he needed was to be cooped back in the room his dragon was bent on destroying so much.

Alpha did not take lightly to rejection.

He and omega we're also in pissy mood. Two nights in a row she denied them! She was so frustrating! If she just let them in they would be feeling a lot better now.

After another unsuccessful night they had returned home. Azian was half expecting Alpha to trash the whole house this time but he remained quiet very quiet.

He seemed to be giving them the silent treatment.

There was something hollow he felt deep within himself. A dark shadow. A fear. A dark thought that run at the back of their mind. No doubt Alphas, but it was as clear as if someone was asking it to their faces.

What if she never lets us in?

No, it was better they heard to school. Maybe if they see Kaya even from a distance Alpha would say a thing or two.

"I'd rather not," he replied as Anna set his usual large plate in front of him.

Azian glanced at the wide spread before him and immediately felt repulsed.

His face morphed into disgust

"Anything wrong?" Abigail asked watching his every move curiously.

"I-I don't want to eat, I'll just be in the car" he motioned coming out from the table.

"A-Azian!" Abigail called after him completely shocked as he disappeared out the door.

Alessia watched all this in amazement, “Did he just- deny food?" She asked. Never in her fifteen years of life had she ever seen either Edwin or Azian refuse to eat. Never.

Anna's mouth hang open but Edwin just shrugged reaching out for his plate. "This shouldn't go to waste" he muttered.

Abigail watched Edwin before glancing out the window as Azian opened he car. He stopped as Khloe walked through the gate by her super speed.

Something she should not be doing in public at all....

As Abigail watched Khloe approached him reaching out to ouch him but he said something along the lines of, "I said I'm okay" then slammed the car door shut before walking away.
