I SHOULDNT HAVE.

That's was the thought running through my mind as I stared up at the pale ceiling. If anything this was the freshest feeling I had ever felt.  My body seemed to have recharged to a hundred percent and I could feel a warm glow in his chest, one that brought a thought to mind.

More specifically a girl.

Sitting up in bed, I swung my legs over the side, still staring at the wall.

I should have never gave in to Alphas demand, the feeling of want when he had seen his precious possession walking alone in the dark.

Yes, I should have let her walk, but Alphas seemed to give him no other choice. The moment our eyes met, Alpha grew stronger wanting to take over, I had to plead with her to get into the car before Alpha forced himself out.. That would have been a problem but not as big of a problem as my current situation.

She was on my mind.

All the time.

I just couldn't understand how peaceful I had been with her. How did she command me and made me follow her instructions just like that?

she had said and immediately a feeling of relief flooded through my whole body, as if I had been waiting for this command his whole life. As if those three words in that voice was the only thing I needed to finally rest.

I still couldn't understand how I had slept so soundly, for so long without any medication, no nightmares… Just normal plain, beautiful peaceful sleep.

The only thing that awoke me up was the gentle rattle on the car door window in the early hours of the morning, revealing a woman I assumed was a relative, because her smell was too different to be her mother, but had a faint similarity.

The drive home was silent, and the rest of the night equally warming. But the morning, the morning came with memories.

The door suddenly opened and I didn't have to turn to know who it was as the door clicked shut.

"You were with her last night"

I turned to meet my guardians hard look, "yes" I casually replied turning away.

There was no use denying it to Edwin. Kaya's smell was probably all over me and dragon senses were sharper than any other, and he probably had followed me last night all in the name of guardian duties.

"You look different,"

I froze at this observation, my gaze lost in space," she did something,” I slowed each word down in my mind, as if trying to figure out a puzzle, “it’s like she made the pain go, or took it away.  I never felt so.so safe, peaceful.  She calms me,” I shook my head," I'm guessing that's why Alpha wants her, she somehow tames him. I-I don't know how, but she has some sort of power over him,"

"She is his possession, obviously she is meant to make him happy. But your mate is supposed to fill him. With her around he doesn't need a temporary healer,"

"It doesn't work with Khloe," I stated dryly before chuckling darkly turning to Edwin, "she doesn't even know I don't sleep. Or tell the difference like she can,"

Edwin studied me closely, "what are you saying?”

"I'm saying my mate doesn't feel what I feel, she doesn't click"

"Azian, do you understand what you’re saying?”

"Yes, I'm saying I don't miss my mate, I don't think about her until I see her, she doesn't understand me.  We don't fit,”

"That is impossible.”

"I just,” I stood up stretching to my full length, "all I know is, Kaya eases me. And if she makes Alpha happy, for the sake of the rest of us, I think we need her, maybe she can help bring him out,”

"You're suggesting growing closer to her.  That's dangerous as your guardian I forbid it.  You heard what Ena said.  She can easily become an obsession if you spend too much time with her."

"Dangerous? Look at me!   You said it yourself, I look better, I feel better, just spending a few hours near her. “I didn't know why I had suddenly become protective, the need to defend her.

“Dangerous is what will happen if Alpha never comes out, we will never survive. Think about Abigail, Alessia, and Anna... They've sacrificed so much for us, I will take the risk"

There was a long silence before Edwin spoke, "and your mate?”

"She won't know… I'll only spend a few hours with her maybe for a week, just to see. "

Edwin bit his lip folding his arms as he glanced at the door, “I would not agree to this if I didn't think there is no better way.  If alpha is responsive to only her, then she may be the key. Though, I-”

"Though?” I echoed.

"You must try harder with your mate, maybe your bond with Khloe can stop your bond with your possession maturing to quickly,"

I nodded as a warm feeling suddenly spread inside me and a warm purr sound, very likely coming from Alpha who seemed more than happy about this decision.

"But if I see a deeper connection forming it stops immediately. You go for a few hours, come back before morning. One week. If it doesn't work you must swear to never meet her again,   swear over my guardianship and our brotherhood,”

"I swear” came the reply in Ultra tone.

Edwin nodded, "this stays between us," he said as he walked out the door.
