Chapter 34: Chapter 34
WRITER ON LEGIONS POV.
The curtains swayed gently in the breeze as Legions eyes focused on the scene below him. The peaceful silence that was the garden was all that soothed him. He needed soothing, he needed to be calm, calm the storm inside of him threatening to come out. Tame the beast.
He wanted to come out, he wanted to wreck something and what Xeric wanted he got. Only he couldn't kill his host, thus he was fighting to be free.
Legion gritted his teeth, his hands forming to a tight fist. Xeric had seen the expression on their mates face as legion denied her. He saw what he could only describe as hate dancing through her eyes as she was sent away.
"It was for her own good" Legion tried to reason with him. The strength of the growl that erupted from within him caused him to grab the chair beside him, trying in vain to push the beast back.
You made her hate us. Xeric growled, his hazel eyes emerging.
Force against force legion resurfaced, "can you blame her?” he countered.
"We we're making progress! You. Ruin. It!”
."I had to! You know what would happen if-" he was cut off as the door to the office was swung open.
Immediately Xeric pushed out further, his eyes settled on the person stupid enough to walk in at the height of his frustration.
Caleb froze as the half human half Lycan stood before him, eyes the color of death. Immediately he knelt down knowing that was the only thing that could save him. His Lycan couldn't do anything against its Alpha.
"My prince" he eased
Xeric snarled but Legion pulled him back, “let him talk"
Caleb kept his eyes on the floor, head bowed in the kneeling position until Legion spoke, "talk" he ordered.
He slowly raised his head, relief coming over as he saw the man he could at least have a civilized conversation with.
He stood up as Legion took a seat and followed suit.
"Has he gone?” legion asked.
"Yes, your father’s informant has left,” Caleb replied folding his legs.
Legion gritted his teeth looking slowly up at Caleb, "did he. Did he suspect anything? "
Caleb nodded, "I believe he did, the girl left quite the impression,"
Legion stood up almost immediately pacing a few feet before suddenly throwing his chair into the wall, shattering it as he let out an angry roar.
"I told her to stay away!" He ran his hand through his hair in frustration.
"Well, I told you it was a bad idea to miss classes, especially after you kissed her, I mean she is your mate, once the bond begins to build she will do anything to be close to you, and you distancing yourself from her obviously wasn't the smartest decision you ever made, "
Legion turned to look at the man before him, "I told you why,"
"And I said Xeric would never allow it"
He groaned resting his hands on the desk, "I should have been harsher"
"No, on that part you we're quite clear, harshness is your specialty. You we're cold... But then you said her name... And I assure you all your subjects know something is going on between you two. You never bother to know the name of any human, not your business partners or investors, but you knew this young beautiful 18 year old girls name, who is the perfect age to be your mate... Suspicion is all over the Lycan ears that witnessed your ordeal... Including your father’s informant... I fear this news will reach your fathers ears in no time and you know what he will do when he learns you have finally found her, "
Legion looked away, his eyes falling, "he will take her,”
"Yes, she is the key to the kingdom. Your Lycan will be tamed by her. Wherever she goes he will follow, it is the way of love,” Caleb finished watching his every expression with intensity.
"Then I must protect her, she can't be forced into our world,”
"Good luck trying to get near her, you broke that girl’s heart,"
Xeric growled at the sound of this causing Caleb to lean back.
Legion groaned remembering what he had told her. If he knew his little mate she was definitely going to stay away from him.
"Fix it" XERIC growled out, making their eyes glow.
Legion gripped the chair fighting with all his strength.
"I must agree with his majesty, you have to fix it, because you messed up pretty bad,”
Legion nodded sighing.
