Elijah's POV

Belle was in the kitchen cooking when I snooped in from behind to give her a surprise but her sharp senses alerted her and turned around and screamed with joy that her big brother returned. Elle was right behind me and got a squeeze from my sister too.

“It has been so long! I thought you got lost,” she exclaimed with a worried face.

“We travelled a lot on earth and I wish you were with us, sis. Planet earth is so beautiful,” I continued saying.

"Please do tell. I haven't been on a different planet in a very long time," she said as her eyes were wide open with excitement.

I started telling her everything about how we travelled, where we went, who we met, the different cultures in each country and every detail possible.

Elle's Pov

It was late afternoon and I decided to lay in bed as travelling has drained all my energy and was glad that finally, I can have some rest. I was alone in his bedroom staring at the ceiling then sleep took over and I drifted into a dream.

I was in a large house, and Elijah was beside me. The room was dark, dirty and felt empty. There was a large window to my right and I could see another house very close by that also looked shabby. My heart was pounding and I felt sweat coming out from my hands. Elijah started walking towards the corridor and I followed expressing to him my fear. He kept walking until we arrived in a larger room that was empty and I could sense something was with us as I could hear a thudding sound that was getting closer. It stopped abruptly and after a minute of silence, I started hearing children singing from the house next door. Surely no one was in that other house as it looked abandoned but I could also see shadows moving through its windows as I moved closer to observe.

“ naaaanaaa, nananaana,na na na na naaaanaaa, na na nananana,nananana a naaa an," the voices were getting louder and closer and my body shivered at the thought of seeing a ghost.

Suddenly a large black greyhound came running towards us shaking me out of my sleep.

I opened my eyes and jerked out of bed. The palm of my hands were sweating and I could see that I have dug my nails into my skin whilst I was asleep. I noticed that it was dark outside and Elijah was in bed too fast asleep before I woke him up due to my abrupt movement.

“Is everything ok dear?” he asked with a tired voice. I sat down back on my bedside and apologised for waking him up.

“I had a very bad dream,” I exhaled as I pressed my eyes with my thumb and index finger, then towards my nose, trying hard to make myself feel better.

Elijah sat down and side hugged me to help calm me down. His large hand wrapped around my shoulder made me feel at ease. “ ahh. Ok, I’m ok. I'm fine. As long as I am by your side," I smiled and looked at him.

“It’s ok. You are safe with me. I will protect you from anything. You know that right?” he said smiling as he motioned for me to lay back down.

I lay my head back on the pillow facing him and he followed.He wrapped his hands around me and soon we both drifted off to sleep once again.

The next day I started with a shower in the ensuite of Elijah's bedroom and then rushed down with a smile on my face to join Elijah for breakfast. I remembered I was back on my favourite planet. No rush, no studying or working. Just enjoying life as it comes. Whilst I was eating Elijah placed his large fingers between mine and grinned whilst caressing my thumb with his.

"We should go visit some other great planets. The universe offers more then just Rignau and earth you know," he said as he moved away from some strands of hair that got in the middle of my face.

I smiled and agreed then we stayed quiet for some time, relaxing. Then all of a sudden Belle came rushing in from outside almost breaking the door as it trembled to hitthe wall to give us some bad news.

Belle's POV

I was sitting on my favourite bench in my favourite spot not far from home getting sun-kissed as the warm weather gave me a great happy feeling. I was so content that Elijah and Elle came back safe and sound and I cannot wait to give them the good news I was hoping to give for a while now. I was smiling as Ipractmyd mmyech when I was interrupted by my thoughts.

Adel, an eight-year-old Ragnon came rushing towards me whilst I was sitting down outside on a bench. His red hair and pale white skin were dirty and all sweaty and his grey eyes wide open which showed fear. He was gasping for breath since he was a bit chubby, holding his hand on his chest and finally when he got his breathing more steady he explained that he was in the woods trying to catch some butterflies and bugs from there when he saw a creature that he has never seen before. I asked him to lead me to the location where he saw it.

We ran towards the forest as Adel led the way to the Zaranom river. We stopped and found a spot to hide behind a large rock and waited in silence. We didn’t wait for long as a large and ugly creature came from between the trees and slowly approached the river. It looked crooked, its skin was red like fire and had scars all over, its teeth were pointy and as sharp as a piranha with small black eyes that made your skin crawl.

Gargoyles I announced. They have a foul smell like garbage and they must have come from Gadalan planet. A planet that no one dares to visit except for the Gargoyles that live there. It is said that it smelled as bad as the creatures altogether and there was no sun or moon, but darkness and a planet which you can say is dead.

This was not good and I needed to make a plan to get rid of that creature. I told Adel to go home and tell his parents and neighbours to meet up at the usual place where we planned battles.

I rushed back home to tell my brother and start planning out how to lure them away. They were dangerous creatures and if they come in large groups it can be impossible to evacuate them back to where they belong. Surely I had to gather everyone and let them know we are in trouble.
