Chapter 13: Chapter 13

Second battle

Belle's POV

I gathered up a few people including Elle and my brother to explain and discuss a strategy that can possibly work and manage to get rid of the Gargoyles before they start coming in trillions. We had a plan but we were unsure of how many of them have come so far.

It has been already a  few days after the first Gargoyle was discovered. More ragnons were coming forward with information about where they were being discovered and what their plans might be.

"Today is the day we must gather everyone and take action. I think we know enough," I told Elijah and Elle as we were preparing to leave the house.

Elle's POV

This time I was convinced that I wanted to take part in this as I needed to train my karate skill as well as help the ragnons fight this battle. The plan was to get one of the Gargoyles to talk so both Elijah and I sped off to the place where Belle saw the creature, just like we planned to do.

Sure enough it was there with its ugly face staring right at us as it sensed that we were getting closer to it. At first it stood still trying to observe our motions, then without warning it came running towards us with its mouth wide open to attack.

"Disgusting ugly creature," I spat at it to make it angry.

"You stink like a pig," I continued.

With an instinct as ot was close enough I side stepped and grabbed its arm and twisted it back, then pushed it down to the floor and jumped on its back holding tight its arms.

"Excelent skills Elle," Elijah chuckled whilst grabbing a rope to wrap the gargoyle up like a present. As it tried to struggle it screamed out like a Siren to inform the others that it was caught.

"Shut up you baffoon," I yelled, punching it straight in the face, knocking the gargoyle out of concience.

With a nodd we started pulling it with a steong rope but it was getting too complicated, so Elijah decided to lift him up on his shoulders.

"Disgusting," he exclaimed, almost gagging as it stank.

We rushed to the large building we were using in the previous war  with the creature on Elijah's shoulder as we arrived at the place which I learned that it was called Ainslard. As the gargoyle was still uncocious, we entered in a room where it had a large sliding door that was made out of very solid heavy stone. I learned that this was an interrogation room and a prison cell for enemies.

Elijah's POV

As I brought the Gargoyle down I locked its arms and legs with the metal cuffs that were part of the chair before it got its conciousness back so it won’t be able to escape.

Getting back slowly to its sences, it huffed and pushed and groaned as it tried to escape. I grinned and rested my body on the wall waiting for it to tire out.

"Leave this one to me. I got this," I said to Elle, still gazing at the creature.

Elle left to inform my sister that we managed to vring the gargoyle in to the interrogation room so to prepare for the next plan. Then after a long time silence fell and the interrogation started as soon as Greg came with all the utensils needed to encourage the creature to speak. I got a tooth cutter and played with it in my hands in front of the Gargoyle to show it that I mean business. I could see the creature glaring at me and I started to speak.

“Good, now that I have your attention. Tell me, why have you crossed to Rignau?”

I waited for a reply but it did not speak.

“Talk!” I screamed out to shock the creature whilst moving the tooth cutter towards its teeth.”

The Gargoyle screeched and I heard it mumble something.

“Louder,” I shouted so it would speak to me.

“gacu gala na ra..” In English I interrupted. “You know that the whole universe has learned a language so that everyone would understand each other. I know you speak it. Now talk or I will start trimming your ugly ass teeth.”

I punched the creature on its cheek causing it to almost fall down with the chair to the ground. It fell silent for a minute, then it spoke.

As it spit blood out from its mouth it decided to talk. "My name is Daluru. I am alone.”

I laughed and moved closer. "Daluru, do not lie to me. Why have you come?”

My patience was coming to an end as it stayed quiet for some time again, so I screamed for it to talk again. Shakily it lifted its head and said that they wanted more land as they were growing in numbers and had no space left on their planet. They came to Rignau to test its waters and food and see if they could live here.

“How many are you?” I snapped.

Daluru smirked and with its head looking down it lifted its eyes to meet mine and spat out “you'll see," and made a villain laugh like the guy in the Grinch movie.

Yes I watched some good movies with Elle back when we were on earth. Suddenly I could hear loud screeches that were getting nearer and nearer . Fortunately the fortifications held them back as they were too heavy to climb up its walls.

I rushed to the meeting room where everyone was gathered including Elle and my sister and I screamed out “they are here, get ready, everyone they are behind the walls.”

Shiloh the one that lead us to our previous war with the Gowdugers nodded at me to let me know she is ready to lead. She took over telling everyone to form up in line, wear our traditional armour and prepare our swords.

Elle's POV

This was the second time for me to face a battle. Last time I helped with healing but this time I wanted to do more. I wanted to think of a plan that would keep all the Ragnons safe.

“I have an idea," I said to Belle. “I would like to share it with everyone."

Belle looked at me with a surprised look then she nodded and took me to Shiloh so that I could share my idea.

“They are behind the walls, right?” I started.

“On my planet years and years ago there was a war between one country and another. The people from the country that the war was being held on were hiding behind the fortified wall. They planned to heat up large pots of oil and throw it on to the enemy. Like that the amount of opposite fighters have reduced, making it easier for them to fight their opponent. We can easily try it here. Maybe they decide to run back to their planet, knowing that their numbers have reduced.”

I could see Shiloh's eyes widen and after a second she ordered a few of the soldiers to get large pots and a lot of oil. She ordered a few others to start collecting wood from the trees that grew within the walls. I helped out cutting the branches into small pieces using a large knife and put bunches of them together. Elijah prepared the fire as we waited for the pots to reach boiling point. We could hear the screeching of the Gargoyles from the other side whilst everyone within the walls was quiet trying not to show them off our plan.

As the bubbles were forming in the five pots full of oil, we got ready. It took seven Ragnons to move the pots onto the flame thrower that was already standing outside. This flame thrower was a large catapult that was strong enough to hold the pots. The first one was in place ready and aimed at the fortifications.

Shiloh shouted, “ready, aim, fire," gesturing with her hand as giving the command.

The large pot was heading towards the Gargoyles. As we heard the pot land on the creatures there was a lot of screaming and snarling. We readied the second one and the third until all the seven pots were on top of our enemies. We could hear the screeching of the Gargoyles getting weaker with each throw until there was just a few left.
