HEALING THE PAST

Cora walked up to her and pulled her into a tight hug as she sobbed continuously. She had never seen her this way before even after what happened to her at the silver packs.

"You love him" Cora asked, as she pulled away gently.

"Of course, I do but he wouldn't even see it and that witch is taking over everything. She is pregnant for him!" She cried.

"Relax, I'm very sure there is a solution to this. Firstly, you said your power was the one that made him like that is there no way your powers can cure him too?. You ain't a weak person, Laura and you will never be so quit that joke" Cora stated.

"You don't understand, She is pregnant for him and I almost killed him. What if he hates me after regaining his memory" Laura asked, as she wiped her tears.

"Vincent would never hates you and I'm so sure of that. He was ready to take a revenge on us for you. He confronted Jacob and Lorenzo several time anytime they tried mess with you.."

"He did?" Laura asked.

"Babe, we've been friends for years and I know how you felt about Axel but Vincent is totally different" Cora replied.

"What if he hates me?" Laura asked.

"There is no way Vincent would hate you or do you want that bitch to have your man?" Cora asked.

"Of course, not!." Laura rejected it immediately.

"Then go back into that house and go straight to that bastard and remind him of our he claimed you promising you the world. Okay?" Cora smiled, and she thought about it before nodding her head.

"That's my girl!" Cora joked, and she was forced to laugh

"You need to get back because you might need to console your cheating husband because the alliance won't be successful" Laura laughed, and she looked curious.

"How did you know?" Cora asked.

"Because Alpha Maeve was here himself to form an alliance with Blood pack and Vincent turned him down but unfortunately he wouldn't stop because his mate turned out to be the Beta sister, Brenda" Laura shrugged.

"Why are you always so lucky. Maeve is your best friend so what do you expect" Cora shrugged.

"Don't tell me you are jealous again. I hope I'm safe" Laura joked and she laughed.

"WTH!! I told you I'm sorry" Cora frowned and Laura laughed.

"You should get going before your husband mistress finds out you are missing and use that as an opportunity to steal him" Laura said.

"That's true but I don't really give a fuck" Cora clicked tongue and Laura burst into unnecessary laughter.

Cora finally left with a promise to meet up to set things out and mind linked each other more often now since they have settled their beefs.

Laura returned back to the palace and was grateful when Brenda told her Annabelle left already and Jessica is the only one with Vincent in his room. It's time to put them in their spaces because she wouldn't let anyone treat her like a trash!.

"Where are you going to?" Brenda asked, as she followed her straight into Vincent room but on getting there they both heard Vincent and Jessica in a hot argument.

"She is a maid what else do you want to know about her?" Jessica yelled.

"She isn't a maid! I'm sure of that and wolf wasn't deceiving me either" Vincent replied.

"You have an alliance to form with the Blood moon pack and I'm sure that is more important. The doctor told me not to stress myself because of my pregnancy" Jessica stated.

"Speaking of our child, why are you not showing any sign of pregnancy and you refused to be check up by the doctor. That woman called my mother is lying to me right!" Vincent asked, and just then Laura barged in with Brenda behind her fuming in anger already.

"That's true!. Your pregnancy is yet to be confirmed and moreover you ain't showing any sign of pregnancy like Laura. Your are two weeks older than Laura but it looks like she is way far from yours" Brenda said, with a disgusting glares straight to Jessica.

"What do you know about pregnancy, moron" Jessica shunned her off.

"I think she is right because the doctor hadn't confirmed anything" Laura intruded.

"And I know you ain't blind either that I'm having a discussion with my husband" Jessica said, boastfully and Laura turned to Vincent who had his eye on her all this while.

"Really?" She arched her brows at him.

"You brat! Show some respect to your master" Jessica jumped in between them.

"Shut up!" Brenda fired at her.

"Is this some kind of a joke?. You don't remember me or is this a way to punish me for trying to get rid of you out of anger?. I know I was stupid to have actually believed you had a thing with this stupid bitch but at the same time why would you be so drunk just because of a rejection that wasn't real?" Laura said, eye still locked with Vincent who looked perplexed.

"What are you talking about?" Vincent asked.

"I'm your fucking bride to be and I'm carrying your child. We are getting married next week and you are here pretending to lose your memory" Laura take a step closer to him and he just stood there, still yet to figure out what she is talking about.

"You know what..." She turned to Jessica.

"What?" Jessica blurted out.

"You are leaving this pack and it's final!" Laura declared.

"And who are you to say that because the last time I checked I'm still the queen" Jessica rolled her eye.

"I'm not joking!" Laura said, and her body froze. Brenda looked shocked to see Jessica reaction to Laura words.

"Are you using your powers?" Brenda questions and when Laura turned to her. Laura eye were blood red and she looked so furious.

"This is meant to be a secret but you have a month to live and if truly you are pregnant it's totally useless because you won't be alive to see your baby but there it is again. I want you say the whole truth now, are you pregnant?" Laura asked, Brenda looked terrified and she trembled in fear.

"You bitch!" Jessica stuttered, still trying to proof stubborn to Laura powers.

"Do you really want to die before your time?" Laura asked.

"Fine! I'm not pregnant for the Alpha and neither was he involved with me but I had to do it for my sake" Jessica confessed and Brenda gasped.

"Good!" Laura let go off her and unfortunately her power hit Vincent again and he was so weak which lead to him falling to the floor.

"Vincent!" Laura rushed to him and sat on the floor and tapped his cheeks continuously to wake him up.

"What's wrong?" Brenda asked.

"Call the doctor and get this woman out of this place. Tell the guards to drop her off at Danika place" Laura declared and Brenda obeyed and quickly rushed out to get the guards and also sent for the doctor immediately.

"Vincent, you would be fine" Laura assured him, as Vincent starts to sweat profusely and moved his leg uncontrollably in pain.

"Laura" He called, as he struggled.

"What wrong? Do you remember me now?" She asked, surprised to hear him call her name.

"I'm sorry" Laura was a bit confused but she is more concerned with him getting better so she stopped him from saying anything further and helped him up.

He was laid properly on the bed and the doctor arrived in no minutes. He asked for a privacy but Laura refused so he just had to leave her.

After checking up on Vincent properly and Laura tensed up he finally packed up.

"Woman, you used your power on him to remember you?" The doctor turned to her.

"No! he was just caught up in the scene" Laura replied, innocently.

"I need to tell you something, nobody should know" The doctor stepped closer to her.

"How is he?" Laura asked.

"You need to stop using your powers on him. In my medical history have never seen something like this before and it's strange. He is perfectly fine and you won because his memory are back, I guess but whatever the effect it would have on him is based on you" He said, and Laura heart shattered because he had never used her powers on Vincent purposely.

"I..."

"How is your baby doing!" The doctor changed the topic.

"Fine, I guess. I've been using my power lately hoping it doesn't affect the baby" Laura confessed.

"You need to be patient and stop hurting the baby. Laura, don't kill things because of your impatient we are both aware that destiny can't be changed and anytime you try to, things only gets worst" The doctor explained.

"Who are you?" Laura asked, now curious on why the doctors knows so much about her without knowing her.

"I'm Dr. Alexander" He stretch out his hands for a handshake.

"Laura" they exchange pleasantries.

"I know everything I think is important about you already" He flashed her a smile, confusing Laura the more.

"You need to start visiting the hospital yourself for the anti natal care of your baby. I can come visiting all the time" He replied.

"Oh! thanks"

"I also have something to discuss with you personally. A beautiful woman like you deserve better than a rough patch like this" He added.

Laura looked quite confused but she didn't say a word instead she just fake a smile and he returned to his bag and packed his stuffs and left leaving Laura completely confused of the whole situation.

How come the doctor know so much about her already or is this some kind of a joke. He even said, he had something important to discuss with her in his own office and not here.

"Laura" Vincent called, and she quickly rushed to him.

She sat beside me and held his hands in hers and massaged it gently.

"I'm sorry, my love" She pleaded.

"I should be apologising instead. I was wrong about the whole situation" He replied, and it's so obvious he had regained his memory.

"It's fine, your were misleaded by your own biological mother" Laura said, and leaned forward to kiss his forehead and he smiled.

"How is our baby?" He asked.

"Perfectly fine" She cracked up when he moved his hands slowly to her womb and massaged his gently smiling.

"Stop" Laura laughed but he didn't stop because he enjoyed the connection he has with his child.

Laura couldn't help but happily thanked Cora for her word of courage but she isn't sure if it's okay to tell him about the doctor words and some of the things he said about them.

What rough patch is he talking about? She thought as she watched Vincent go back to sleep slowly.

She left him once he was fast asleep to make him something to eat before he wakes up but met Brenda already waiting for her.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"I dropped Jessica with Danika already but how is Alpha Vincent?" She asked.

"Oh! He is fine and good news" Laura smiled.

"What's going on?" She asked.

"Vincent so perfectly fine and remembers everything but I need to make something for him before he wakes up" Laura's replied and she jumped up happily and even went far to hug her

"I'm glad you put that bitch in her place but next time you need to trust the one your heart chooses and not an outsider trying to end the relationship all this months" Brenda whispered into her ear and just then Adam walked in holding few paperwork and Victoria was right beside him.

"Victoria" Laura called, with eye opened and Brenda body stopped as she pulled away and turned to be sure Laura wasn't lying about her presence.

"What is she doing here" Brenda fired.
