THIRTY SIX
THE WEAK SOUL DESTROY THE PACKS
Axel and Jacob had just arrived at the Blood moon pack to see Alpha Maeve and talked about the coming full moon war and how they could actually work together to get things done.
"Master, some people are here to see you" A guard rushed into the Alpha room and bowed.
"Without an invite?" Maeve replied.
"They are from the silver pack, master" the guard replied.
"What are they doing here?" Maeve dropped the paper work he was working on before the guards arrived.
"Go and get them entertained, I will be there in few minutes" Maeve addressed.
"Okay, master" The guards rushed out of the room and straight to the chamber again.
Maeve picked up the paper work back and stood up, and strode to the occupied table in his room to drop it.
He wondered what the Silver pack is doing in his own but as much as he wants to know, he doesn't mind keeping them on that seat for a while before he shows up.
It's useless if they are here for an alliance because I'm already with a pack that doesn't want them and that won't work because Blood pack is still the most reliable unlike the troublemakers.
"Hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long?" Maeve entered innocently like he didn't delayed them purposely.
"It's fine, we should have informed you before showing up" Axel replied.
"Oh!" They exchange pleasantries and Jacob introduced himself as the Alpha and Axel as the Beta of the silver pack.
"So, as you know the full moon is getting close and forming an alliance to protect our kingdom isn't a bad idea" Jacob said.
"And also, we can both get what we want and also you know Laura, the strong Alpha female is on our side too" Axel added.
"Really? Laura?" Maeve asked, acting surprised.
"Yeah" Jacob nodded, seeing they are now getting Maeve attention.
"But I met with Vincent and his wife already and the alliance has been formed with Laura approval. They are getting married soon or ain't you invited?" Maeve asked, Jacob drenched in embarrassment and Axel looked furious as Maeve grinned.
"That's not possible, Vincent is..."
"That won't be needed, I can be with a pack like yours" Maeve interrupted.
"What do you mean by a pack like us?" Axel asked.
"Greedy, troublemaker and murderers. I heard the previous beta killed the Alpha and it's no longer a news he disappeared the same day you appointed a new one" Maeve replied, Jacob looked shocked to hear that from Maeve.
"Is there anything else you have to say because I'm getting prepared to go out and get beautiful for mate do I can visit her tomorrow at her pack" Maeve said, proudly as he was getting a reaction from them already.
"Pack?"
"My mate is from the Blood pack and that's a sign to form more bond and Axel can you quit the formal because you bloody bastard betrayed Laura and turned her away from her bestfriend just because of your self interest. You even dare enter my pack with a title that I don't care about " Maeve raised his voice, Axel fist clenched into balls because he is well aware of what conspired between them while he was still dating Laura.
"Let go" Jacob arouse, angrily looking so mad.
"Al..." Axel tried to stop him.
"You will pay for this, I promise" Jacob pointed at Maeve but he just stared at him with no reaction.
"I'm done here" Jacob stomped out and Maeve expected Axel to follow but he just seat down.
"Can you please use the door and make sure never to return" Maeve said, and walked away without even turning back. That made Axel more mad and wished he could kill him right now but it was his kingdom and that's a foolish thing to do.
Brenda looked so furious as she watched Victoria stood beside her brother.
"We talked about this already, Brenda" Adam voiced out, trying to control the intense situation.
"I think he is right" Laura tapped, Brenda hands.
"No! not this bitch" Brenda yelled.
"Don't dare call me that!" Victoria yelled back.
"Really?" Brenda approached her but Laura pulled her back before a fight breaks out.
"You better not cross my lane or I will do you worst" Brenda cussed.
"Why are you been childish?. You turned a small issue to a big and expect me to apologise?, seriously" Victoria said.
"Really?" Brenda crossed her arms together.
"Can both of you just keep your mouth shut!" Adam yelled, and they both kept quiet while Laura just watched the scene totally lost.
"This is coming to an end, both of you should seat down now!" Adam ordered.
"Why?" Brenda questioned.
"I won't repeat myself!" Adam replied, Brenda frowned as she walked to seat on one of the couch in the living room.
"You ain't an exception and I expected you to be more matured" Laura said, to Victoria and her body calmed as she walked to seat down too.
"Thank you" Adam said, to Laura and smiled.
"It's nothing" She replied, smiling.
"How is Vincent!" He asked.
"Sleeping but he is fine, I need to prepare his bathe and food before he wakes up" She replied.
"Oh that's good, where is Jessica?" Adam asked, and Laura went mute immediately.
"Attend to this first, I will talk to you later" Laura excused herself from the awkward situation she had gotten herself into with the family again.
Jessica won't last a month, she had used her power on Vincent because of desperation and now he remembers her but hate his mother, Jessica Isn't pregnant and had been deceiving everyone but who is going to explain all this to him without any conflict happening?.
It's better he handles the two friends matter and get back to her later.
Laura walked straight to the kitchen but she suddenly felt weak and asked the maid to prepare Vincent dinner instead and she went back to the room she was sharing with the maid to lay down.
Something is wrong with her again!.
"Are you stupid!" Del annoying voice woke her up as she tried to sleep.
"Not now!" She groaned in pain, and wished Del could just vanished but that had never happened with Del.
"You used your power again and now you are weak" Del scolded, and Laura was getting annoyed.
"Go away!" Laura replied.
"Why don't you just wait for your fate, you are hurting the baby. You can't use your power till you deliver because very soon your baby bumps would reveal so big" Del stated, but Laura was too tired to listen to all that.
"Don't even dare try it again if you don't want to have any problem with me. Okay?" Del made herself clear.
"Sure!, can you go now?" Laura replied.
"Not so fast, you are back with Cora?. Like seriously, after all she did to you?" Del asked.
"And how is that your business?" Laura replied, rudely but that had never affected Del in anyway because she can be more of a bad bitch than her.
"Like seriously?. She is not different from her husband, her father went missing and only need to play the pity card to you, are you that cheap?"
"Del, stop!" She cautioned, but Del went far until Laura almost used her powers again if the maid she shared the room with hasn't walked in and Del left immediately so she won't be seen by someone else.
"Are you okay, ma'am?" the young lady asked, seeing Laura sweating profusely.
"Yeah! I'm fine" Laura replied, and turned to the other side to sleep before Del returns again or show up in her dreams.
She rolled to the other side to sleep.
Night came early than expected and Laura was still asleep, forgotten about Vincent who is actually awake and strong. He was so happy when he saw Victoria in the palace and also cool with Brenda already.
"Look who is now so strong" Adam said, as Vincent took the stairs one after the other while Brenda smiled happily as she watched him.
"All thanks to my Beta" Vincent replied, and Brenda burst into laughter.
"That's a lie, Laura did most of the job" Brenda chirped in.
"My king" Victoria bowed.
"Peace be with you, looks like things are now going well between you and your bestie" Vincent's replied, and she smiled.
"Yeah! we are just so childish" Victoria replied.
"Excuse you, Victoria was just been childish. Against next time" Brenda corrected and they all laughed.
"Where is Laura?" Vincent asked, changing the topic.
"I've seen her since noon" Adam replied.
"We all saw her the last time together" Brenda added.
"Wait, you remember her?" Adam asked, shocked.
"It's a long story" Brenda replied.
"Cut it short because I haven't seen Jessica either"
"Where is she!" Vincent asked.
"Laura used her powers again and made Jessica confessed. She isn't pregnant and was only using you, Laura got mad and inflicted her with pain. She is currently at her friends place, Danika" Brenda explained.
"What!" they all chorused in unison.
