A loud bang on the door freaked Laura out as she quickly find a place to hide.

"I know you are in here the same way I found out about your presence in the blood pack, it would be good if you come out now and let talk!. Tracy will be back soon" Axel shouted, she was too scared to see him so she just remained at her position.

"I know you don't trust me but it would be stupid if you remain there" He screamed, she almost let out a word so she used her hand to cover her mouth.

"Lorenzo is in prison for now and Cora is spreading rumors about your presence in the pack already. She won't be able to visit Lorenzo till Jacob ordered the guards to allow her in which simply means you are safe" Axel continued, but the house was still dead silent.

"You need to trust me, Laura!. I'm here to help you. I owe you and I have to repay you back with all my capable hands" He pleaded.

"Just go away and never return here. I don't need your help" Laura replied, Axel was shocked to know Cora was right.

She had been staying with Tracy but what happened between her and Vincent that made her flew back to her father land.

"We need to talk Laura, please" He begged.

"Get out of here!" Laura yelled.

"Please, it's about your father. There is something you need to know before you trust Tracy" He said, Laura hearts softened as she walked out of the basement to meet him in the living room.

"Wow, it's really you" He breathe out.

"What about my father?" Laura asked.

"I..." He paused and glared at her.

"Before I tell you the whole thing, there is something I need to tell you. can we seat?" He asked, politely.

Laura just stared at him weirdly and observed.

"Sit!" She offered, and seat opposite him.

"I didn't betray you Laura, I need to clear things with you. I'm still your Axel.."

"Just stop!" She shunned him off.

"I knew Cora was my mate even when I was in a relationship with you" He confessed, Laura widened in shock as she looked so interested already.

"Cora is your mate!" Laura asked.

"Yeah, I didn't want to break your heart and neither did Cora know about this even till now. I loved you and didn't want to..."

"So you claimed to love me and lied to me?. No wonder you agreed to marry her immediately I LEFT" Laura said with an eye rolled.

"Laura, I'm not telling you all this to love me back but I need you to trust me. It's really hard with Cora because my wolf can't hold it anymore after all this years and she is been a cry baby and jealous"

"You like her?" Laura asked, there was a long silent in the room.

"Axel? you like her!" She said.

"I don't know but..." She interrupts him again.

"I will be honest with you, Young man. You've fallen for her not just because she is your mate but a true love and that's good. I've forgiven you guys a long time ago and Cora is my bestfriend, she must have acted that way because her wolf craved for you but she isn't wise enough to have taken those disastrous decision with her father" Laura explained.

"You've forgiven us?" Axel asked.

"Sure, I have my mate too now and I know what it feels like when you can even control your emotions and break down when not given any attention" Laura replied, sadly.

"Why are you here?. Is something wrong?" Axel asked.

"I just needed a break" Laura lied, as she blinked.

"Laura, I know you so well. You ain't saying the truth, did you reject him?" Axel asked, Laura didn't say a word she just stared at me not taking a blink.

"Vincent is great man and he is willingly to do anything to protect you but Jacob is just been desperate for something I don't know" Axel replied.

"Yeah, I know but.." Laura stopped, she isn't sure about opening up to him when he had betrayed her in the last before.

"But what?" Axel asked.

"Let not talk about that, You mentioned my father earlier" Laura said, changing the topic.

"Yeah, I made some progress on my own and found out that night your father died it wasn't only Lorenzo that was with him" He said.

"Who again, isn't it obvious that Lorenzo is the only one that can kill him just because he couldn't be like him?" Laura asked.

"If you want to proof that then you will need an evidence Before your father was killed, Lorenzo and the blood pack queen, Anabelle were meeting each other secretly and it rumoured your father had killed the late Alpha of the Blood pack during the full moon night and since then Blood pack hated the silver pack but what could the top dear Blood pack and silver pack be doing together?. I'm not sure Lorenzo is responsible for this because Alpha Xalorad had a little misunderstanding with Lorenzo and he was put into an house arrest"

"At that time, only two warriors worked for Lorenzo's at that moment"

"Who?" Laura asked.

"Fredrick and Gideon. After your father's death they both disappeared and they are never seen till today" Axel concluded.

"Wait, are you saying if we can find Fredrick and Gideon then I can have more answers to the death of my father death?" Laura asked.

"Probably. I need to take my leave now and before that I need you to be careful with Tracy." He said.

"Why" She asked.

"She isn't a wolf but a disguised witch in the Silver pack. She isn't to be trusted, I will visit you when I'm free again and please Cora shouldn't know about this" He said, and stood up.

"Thanks for the visitation" Laura said, with a smile.

Adam ran fast into the forest till he got to their usual spot where Vincent awaited him already.

"Dude, what's up?" He asked, as he met him seated on a wood with different papers on the floor.

"What's wrong?" He picked a paper on the floor and it was a picture of Victoria.

"Why do you have Victoria pictures? what are all these?" He dropped the paper and picked another one, it's a picture of another elderly woman but not too old.

"These are the pictures of everybody Involved in the case" Vincent replied.

"Victoria is involved in this?" He asked, surprised.

"She is the little girl that was the old woman that caused Laura and her twin, Del. If the curse is to be reverted, Victoria would be needed" He replied, Adam doesn't look happy about it.

"Laura is currently at the silver pack and she lived with the other elderly woman you picked her picture, Tracy. She isn't a wolf but a witch in disguised with her little girl" Vincent answered.

"Omg! how did you know about this?" Adam asked.

"Before I spill anything out, nobody followed you here right!" Vincent asked.

"I knew Jessica might try to so I kept her busy with Brenda. I would be honest with you, I might have made a deal with Jessica to put you away from Laura completely but I regretted my actions" He apologised.

"You are aware of the night?. I did not rape her right?. It's all a set up because I was drunk?" Vincent rushed out question to him non stop.

"Yes" He confessed. "I wasn't there but she told me about everything and you would be tied down by a fake pregnancy till it get real" He explained.

"I knew it!" Vincent growled

"Let that aside, tell me how you come up with all this" Adam changed the topic.

"I sent out a very good spy to the silver pack and apart from the fact I don't trust anyone within me including you I had to do things on my own and at the same time keep you all busy including my own mother. I had to bring you in because of Victoria, I know she is your mate"

"Not anymore, she rejected me" Adam replied sadly.

"Laura did the same to me but you just ain't going to give up like that, right!" Vincent replied, and his widened.

"Laura rejected a competent Alpha?" He asked.

"Let not go that way, I called you here so you can help me bring Laura back because I've tried all means but something is keeping her at the silver pack and I'm curious. I've missed her and it's dangerous for her to be there"

"Alpha Maeve is in the palace, come back quickly" Brenda mind linked Adam.

"Maeve is in the palace!" He said, aloud.

"What is he doing in my kingdom?. Laura isn't here anymore why are they causing trouble?" Vincent asked, and he looked angry already.

"Let go, we can discuss this later" Adam said, and helped him pack up the paper and they ran out of the forest. Everything looked calm when they arrived, Jessica seated with rage and Maeve trying to piss Brenda off.

"Thank God you are here" Brenda ran to Adam immediately he sighted him.

"What are you doing in my kingdom without my permission?" Vincent asked, as he walked to seat on his throne.

"I'm sorry but it's urgent since I heard Laura is missing" He replied.

"This isn't your land, you don't come here anytime you want" Vincent fired.

"Can I talk to you privately?" Alpha Maeve asked.

"And why should I trust you with me?" Alpha Vincent asked.

"That's true, he can't be with you alone. We are family and anything you have to say is right now" Adam interfered.

"With her?" Maeve pointed at Jessica.

"No!" Brenda replied fast.

"Kindly excuse us" Brenda added.

"Shut up you moron, for your information I'm Alpha Vincent to be wife and you should respect me" Jessica added, but Vincent word shocked her.

"Please Jessica" Vincent said, politely. Brenda chuckled silently as Jessica stomped off looking like she can be cooked in the oven.

"Good for her" Brenda muttered happily as she settled beside Maeve who shifted far away from her but she doesn't care and just looked at him in disgust but Maeve had to stay away so he won't be distracted by her hormones.

"So what is so important?" Adam asked, as he take his seat.

"I just want us to form an alliance so we can work together in the future and also protecting Laura from the evil, she is my bestfriend and I know how it's dangerous for her to be close to the silver pack" he said.

Adam and Vincent exchanged glance and turned to him back.

"So you actually thought after all the threat we are going to work with you. Anyway, I don't need your help I will bring my wife back to the kingdom and not with your help" Vincent replied.

"Thanks for the great gesture but you can take your leave now" Adam added.

"The door is wide open" Brenda chirped in.

"Are y'all for real" Maeve looked shocked.

"You are here for serious business why don't you cooperate and leave" Brenda scoffed, with an eye rolled.

"An alliance was what I actually had in mind but do you know what actually interest me immediately I got in" Maeve turned to her, Vincent and Adam shared contact.

"Stay away from my sister!" Adam warned.

"Interesting because this hot chick here turned out to to be the Mate had been looking for. Laura would be so glad to know it's you" He whispered, so closed to her and Brenda eye widened.

"Mate?" Adam called out but Maeve just shared at shocked Brenda.

"Cut it out already, I still won't form any alliance with you to fight any war. I know what you are doing just because you can't have Laura doesn't mean there is a shade for you here" Vincent said, and Alpha Maeve turned to him with a smirk.
