TWENTY-THREE

A PLAN TO RUIN A PERSON

Jessica walked into Annabelle house but was shocked to find Brenda, Adam younger sister seated too as she discussed some matters she is not aware of with Annabelle.

"Jessica, thank goodness you are here" Annabelle said happily, as she noticed my presence.

"What is she doing here!" Jessica asked, as she walked in slowly.

"Oh! you don't have to worry too much. Brenda is just here to help us on something else" Annabelle replied, assuring Jessica even though she isn't buying it. She knew about Brenda feelings towards Vincent even when they were still together.

"If she offered to help then it must be for her own advantage and nobody else" She thoughts, as she seat beside Brenda still not taking her eye off her because she doesn't trust her at all.

"You called for me, is anything the matter" Jessica turned to Anabelle.

"Nothing, but I need to discuss few things with you both" She replied, calmly.

Jessica wondered what the queen mother wants to discuss to have invited Brenda over too.

"As you know, my son is how bewitched by that cursed rogue he claimed to be his mate" Annabelle, shook her head negatively.

"Laura?" Brenda asked.

"Yeah! Jessica I asked you to see me because I need to know how things is going between you and Vincent lately" She said, Jessica adjusted uncomfortably because of Brenda appearance in the house.

"Laura is cursed?" Brenda asked, Jessica wasn't really surprised because she got the details from Adam already.

"It's a long story and Vincent is trying all his possible best to revert the curse which would be so hard" Annabelle said, Jessica was relieved to know her curse can be reverted easily.

"So, why do you need us!" Jessica asked.

"I know you Brenda, have a crush on my son and Jessica you want him back desperately which is so obvious but unfortunately in a situation like this, you both have to work together and bring me to success" She explained, Brenda and Jessica exchange eye contact but the both hissed and looked away, that surprised Annabelle.

"What do you two think you are doing?. None of you is getting married to my son!, I just don't want Laura with him and you two know that. Vincent can never have anything to do with you two not even in his second world" Annabelle spat out, angrily.

"I..." Brenda tried to defend herself but Jessica beat her to it.

"Is that true?" Jessica smirked, as her fully lipped smile.

"I'm very sure, Jessica I brought you back here for a reason and it isn't to cause more trouble but to get that bastard away from him" Annabelle stated.

"Then we will see about that" She stood up, Annabelle face went down, her furrowed eyebrows stared directly at her.

"And point of correction, you didn't bring me to Blood pack back. I already sought things out myself and thanks to you, I'm going to Vincent wife and would having a cute baby soon" She stated, and smiled.

"What are you talking about!" Brenda interrupted.

"Why don't you just watch and see" She smirked, and walked away from them leaving Anabelle stunned and Brenda shocked.

"Did she just walk out on you?" Brenda stuttered out, pointing at the door.

"That girl must be up to something I don't know about" Annabelle bang the chair furiously freaking Brenda out.

"I think I should take my leave, I would come visiting you later" Brenda stood up, and left even before Annabelle could say a word. She stomped back to palace immediately but another bombshell awaited her.

The first person he met was her brother and he is talking to her ex- bestfriend.

"What are you doing here, you moron" She rushed to her and pushed her away forcibly, growling at her.

"What is your problem" Victoria chugged her off, and adjusted herself.

"No, you have a problem because I asked you to stay away from this place and my brother isn't an exemption" She yelled, angrily.

"What are you talking about. I'm not so childish like you and moreover he invited me here himself" She rolled her eye, and crossed her arms.

"Adam!" Brenda called, and turned to him.

"Yeah, I invited her because I was trying to settle your dispute" He said, but Victoria eye went widened.

"What! why are you lying to her?" Victoria fired.

"Shut up you moron!" Brenda shut her up and turned back to Adam.

"Spill it out already!" She fired.

"Brenda, don't you feel it unnecessary to cause..."

"I'm his mate and for your information, I'm not your going to be with a man who can even train his sister so both of you should deal with it!" Victoria spat, and walked away angrily.

This time around, she vowed never to return to the palace or have anything to do with them because they have nothing good to offer her. Brenda stood there hoping that what Victoria said was a lie.

"Brenda! what the hell have you done" Ada growled.

"What have I done? I just saved you from the gold digger" Brenda turned to him.

"Oh! really, you better get things fixed because Victoria is my mate and I won't let your ruin my own love life" Adam yelled, and with that he stomped out her sight angrily leaving just her. Brenda boiled in anger as she watched his brother walked out her sight putting all the blame on her instead of supporting her.

Is there anything anyone could offer her, she just had a bad day at the Queen's mother place with Jessica making it her place to snatch Vincent by all means and now her brother is in love with her worst enemy?. A girl that only moved around her because of her wealth in the first place or what?.

"Get yourself together" She muttered to herself, as her eye got blurry as she sniffed back her tears. Brenda walked off to her room and shut the door behind her as she broke into tears. Everything is not going well for her at all, she doesn't have a mate and now the man she loved is with another woman isn't her life difficult already?.

She is loosing her brother to her ex- bestfriend who she hated the most now, although not within her heart.

Jessica had gone back to the palace but Vincent was nowhere in the palace and not in his office too. She searched for him everywhere and even tried to mind link him but he had shut her off his head.

"Is he playing games with me?" She thought, and strode straight to Adam's office.

"Where is he?" She asked, as she stomped into his office.

"Can't you knock" He growled, Adam seemed to be mad but not her, he had completely lost it after everything that happened with his sister, Victoria and now Vincent doesn't even have his time anymore. He is alone and the devil is using him.

"What's wrong with you?. I'm only here to asks if you've seen Vincent around" Jessica replied.

"Get out of my office now!" He said, with a deep rumbling threatening sound that left Jessica stunned and she hissed and left him alone.

"I'm going to deal with you later" She hissed and cat walked out of his office.

Adam banged his table angrily after Jessica left. He is turning into a monster because of his selfish desire and that isn't what a great beta should do.

"I think I know where Laura is, let meet and talk at our usual changing spot. I don't want another living thing with us and the woman have an interesting descendants you haven't been working on" Vincent mind linked him.

His anger vanished on hearing this.

"What do you mean by you know where Laura is?" He asked.

"Get here fast, and I have something important to discuss about Jessica mischievous act" He added, even though Adam is aware of what happened between them he is glad about his opening up towards him.

He grabbed his jacket and rushed out of the palace, he met Jessica asking the maid of Vincent whereabouts but he just hissed and stomped out of the palace. His behaviors got Jessica worried and she wondered where he is headed to.

"You can go" She said to that maid, who just bowed and left.

"What is he up to now?" She tried to follow him but Brenda showed up with a puffy eye.

"And why are you sneaking around my brother now!" She stopped him, Jessica was shocked to see her state.

"Don't tell me you cried?" Jessica asked, sarcastically.

"Just cut the sarcasms and answer my question" She rolled her eye.

"You still choose to cause trouble after I was done putting you in your space?" Jessica scoffed, as she looked ahead trying not to lost sight of Adam but he was gone.

"Really because the battle isn't over yet" Brenda replied.

"I have other business to attend to, so can you please excuse me?" She pushed her off her front but Brenda pulled her back by her hair.

"Business like my brother?, what's your deal" Brenda yelled, while Jessica tried to get her hair off her hands but Brenda only held unto it tightly as they fought dirty.

She grabbed Brenda hair and they both screamed as they fought but the maids only stood behind and watched waiting for the elders to intervene.

Meanwhile, Adam mind linked Brenda and thanked her. He promised to forgive her if she can keep Jessica distracted till he was back and she happily regarded his request so everything she was doing with Jessica was co- play.

"You bitch, let go off my hair" Jessica screamed, the maid laughed at them as they fought shamelessly.

"You have to promise to stay away from my brother business and I will free you" Brenda kicked her hand forcing her to go on her kneels then she bounced on her. Jessica cried out, because Brenda was winning and she is getting bruised already.

Even though, it hurts she felt it was actually an opportunity to paint Brenda bad in front of Alpha Vincent when he returned for bullying her.

"Get this witch off me!" Jessica screamed, the warriors who heard the two women voice intervened and pulled Brenda from her.

"See what she did to me" Jessica cried, as she touch her bursted lips already.

"Let me go, let me teach her a lesson so she would learn not to mess with me!. Brenda" Brenda screamed, as she struggled in the arm of the warriors who wasn't letting her go.

"You need to stop Madam" one of the coolest maid begged but Brenda won't stop been wild and Jessica won't stop crying even though she feared Brenda, if she get away from the warriors grip then she is gone.

"And what is going on here?" a voice interrupted them all and they all went silent.

The warriors dropped Brenda and she quickly adjusted her clothes as Alpha Maeve of the Blood moon pack walked in uninvited.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" one of the warriors asked.

"I'm sorry to have come uninvited but I need to see your Alpha" He walked in.

"And you are?" Brenda asked, Maeve turned to her and he was about to say something but stopped immediately.

"Mate" His wolf whispered to him, and his eye widened but Brenda continued to throw him deadly glares while he just stared at her charmed and mesmerized by her beauty even when she looked like a lost cat. Her make up was ruined and her eye are swollen already because she had been crying for too long.

"And you are?" He asked, as he ignored everyone in the palace.

"Brenda, what's up with you. Stop staring at me like that" She rolled her eye.

"Why don't you show us to the chamber so we are await your Alpha?, beauty" He flirted, Jessica scoffed on hearing that.

"She is a monster that bite" Jessica muttered, Maeve was pissed off by Jessica comment.

"Why don't you find something to do, young lady?" He turned to Maeve, even though Brenda doesn't like the visitor she burst into laughter and to make Jessica more jealous she led them to the chamber and mind linked her brother immediately about Maeve appearance in the Chamber.
