FIFTEEN
FINDING OUT THE TRUTH 2
Annabelle, the queen mother of the Blood pack was shocked to see her son this mad at her. How will she explain to him, it was all to keep him safe.
"I don't owe you an explanation but I want that lady out of your life, palace and never to return here" She replied.
"She is going no where!." Vincent declared.
"You dare not disobey me" She replied.
"I fucking rule this pack and not you. Don't let me hate you mother and stop interfering in my matter!" His voice deepened as he couldn't control his rage again so he walked away from her sight.
"Jessica, is coming back to live here and there is nothing you can do about it because that witch is going to leave this pack whether you like it or not!" Annabelle shouted, as she watch him walk away from her sight.
Vincent amble back to his room and met Laura seated on the bed crying her eye out but immediately she noticed his presence she quickly wipe them off and act like nothing happened but he saw it all.
"Laura" he called, wanting to tell her the whole truth but he is scared of hurting her the more.
"What was your mother talking about?" She asked.
"It's nothing important" he lied.
"You have to tell me the truth, why does everybody hates me when I literally did nothing to them" She cried, letting those tears roll down her cheeks.
"Laura" he moved closer to her and wipe her tears off and pick her hands again.
"She is bringing her back right!" She asks.
"Bring who?" He asks.
"Your ex- wife?, just let me go to wherever my leg takes me to. I don't want to keep ruining things for you like I did to my pack" She pleaded.
"No one is coming here, and you ain't ruining anything for me and stop letting what they say get to you. You are an alpha female stop acting like a weak soul or nobody will know your worth!." Vincent said, trying to stop her from turning into his weakness because it will be so dangerous.
"I heard everything, I can't let you die for my sake!" She breaks the news to him, to his surprise.
"I thought I asks you to stay..." He got interrupted by her.
"You need to stop hiding things from me. I heard everything, I tried to hurt your own biological mother if you weren't there and you think it is okay?" Laura asked.
"You didn't try to hurt her, you were just protecting yourself!" He tried to calm her down.
"To crown it all, your ex- wife is coming to live with us under the same roof and you think..." he stop her from talking with his lips.
"I love you and that's all that matters. If you ain't strong for me that is only when I will agree to whatever Annabelle, my mom said today. So I want you to come out there and show everybody that you are stronger than their words!" He whispered on her lips.
"Now?" She asked.
"Here is your chance" he replied, with a weary smile on his face.
"Laura, you are an Alpha female. Always remember to say this to yourself if you ever want to give up or have a slight idea of escaping from me" he added, and she cracked up a bit.
"I'm not leaving you" she pushed him back a bit.
"Is that a promise?" he asked.
"Not a promise but If I ever try that and you find me then I'm craving for you to mark me already" She replied, and walk away.
He didn't understand what she meant by that but after deep thinking he realized she is actually anxious of the day he will finally claim her as his.
"Just let me know whenever you are ready, I ain't rushing" He shouts, so she can hear him.
"Are you coming?" She asked.
Sure" he walked to her and held her hand in his as they walk out of the room together with things running through both their minds but they can't spill it out.
The while guards, maid and every other workers in the palace gathered up and the messenger to passed across message to the whole community and they listened to whatever the Alpha words.
"It's been long since we had this type of gathering after so many years but I, Alpha Vincent the king of the Blood pack is using this medium to let you know that we are not joining any force with the other packs to fight during the full moon war but instead we prepare for our protection. We protect ourselves, prepare ye warriors! the messenger should pass this across to the community that I have spoken and nothing is going to change this!" His deep voice echoed and everyone went silent to listen to his speech.
"A lot of you would have noticed some changes in the palace recently and probably wondering who is this beauty damsel beside me. I am proud to announce to y'all that after so many years Alpha Vincent will be getting engaged in the next few months and I want everyone to prepare their gifts, get ready for a big celebration in the pack. I've done so may wrong this years after my ex- wife left and I apologise for that..."
"You speak so much of me. Do you miss me?" the voice, of that person everyone hated so much interrupted the Alpha and, immediately everyone turned to the direction the words came from and it turns out to be the witch!.
Alpha Vincent eye widened on seeing the last person he expected to come across in his abode after six years of waiting for a sign from her or an apology but she is back at the wrong time.
The queen mother was standing confidently beside her, Jessica the king ex- wife. There was a large murmuring amidst the crowd as everyone whispered words to each other hoping not to be heard.
"Who is she?" Laura asked.
"Jessica" Vincent called, still staring at her in shock.
The queen mother had just threatened her about bringing her back and she is here already?. How was she able to find her so soon?.
"Your queen is back, my son" Annabelle said, with so much boldness and Laura heart crushed instantly on seeing Vincent reaction to the beautiful lady standing beside the queen.
She is the queen favourite.
SILVER PACK.
Alpha Jacob and Axel had been meeting on daily basis now without Cora or Lorenzo suspecting anything.
Axel was inside his chamber wondering how he could escape from the pack when one of the king guard arrived to inform him the king had sent for him again.
He doesn't like the idea he is helping Jacob find Laura to be his Luna. He is still love her and won't even let anyone touch or near her even if it will cost her life.
He had been wanting to go back to Blood pack and talk to Alpha Vincent but after his attitude during the meeting he dared not to go.
It's been long he had seen her but he got that feeling Laura is in that dangerous pack and something might be wrong somewhere.
She isn't his mate but he knows her fragrance and he got that same smell when he went for the stupid meeting with the blood pack alpha.
There is no way someone else must have had the same fragrance smell with Laura because it's natural but he is sure if he had told Jacob he would over react and put her in trouble again because it doesn't seems like Lorenzo is off her back.
He is willingly to go miles just to save this one girl. You might all be wondering how Axel got into a mess with Lorenzo even when they never got along or knew each other presence in the palace.
He was a bait in getting the Alpha female and unfortunately he fell into the trap.
What can he have done to be so scared of Lorenzo's too?.
"I will be there" He said, to the guard and he left after bowing at him.
Everybody, respect him now after the announcement of their wedding Coronation that will be taking place in few days time and everyone looks forward to it.
He wished he hadn't done it, probably Laura won't have left, the king would have been fine and he will remain the most braviest warrior of his time. Do courageous, wins all fight battle and other interesting stuffs only a rare man can do.
He let out his thoughts and head to the king chamber again wondering what he had for him but to his surprise the first person his eye met with was Lorenzo and he was looking at him furiously while Jacob doesn't look restless.
"My king" he bowed first, regardless of anything you need to pay homage to the Kings first.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Jacob fired at him immediately, instead of accepting his greetings.
"My king" he looked kind of confused as he exchange glances with Lorenzo.
"She is trapped in that pack and you knew about it!. Vincent is dangerous, and also a sly at the same time, he didn't even mention her name the day we went to visit. What if he is planning something evil against us?, Laura got on his good side and he didn't murder her a rogue!" Lorenzo interfered, Axel face went pale on hearing that.
"What!" he pretended to be surprised even though he is not.
"How do we solve this case!" Jacob yelled.
"Dad!" Cora walked in crying interrupting everyone.
"What's wrong?" Lorenzo stands to his feet immediately.
"Laura is getting married to Alpha Vincent of the blood packs" She replied, Jacob stands to his feet immediately on hearing that.
"And what do you mean by that?" He asked.
"I heard it from a friend at the blood pack. Their engagement date had been fixed on the same day of our wedding which simply means..."
"He is helping her to execute a revenge plan" Axel added, everyone turned to him wondering what he meant by that.
"Helping?" Lorenzo repeated.
"If he found her, brought her into the palace, fixed an engagement then definitely he knows something or knew something even before everything and he wants something from her to have offered to help her execute a revenge plan but I don't think Laura can do that to her own pack. As long as I know she loved this pack" Axel explained.
Jacob was short of words for a while and the rest remained silent until Cora speaks.
"His ex- wife is back, the pack in is a confused state, the queen mother doesn't want Laura for a reason everyone is curious about. It was gossiped Laura have a secret powers that protected her from the queen mother rage" Cora continued, the person that had given her all the information turned out to be Danika, Jessica's friend.
"Prepare the guards, warriors every trained capable men and send them to the blood pack as we request for her!. Whatever he does will either call for a war or settlement!" Jacob declared and, stomped out of the room angrily leaving them all there.
"It's too early to pick a war with the blood pack, Vincent is the most dangerous Alpha in the world of werewolves. His packs is the one of the world best history of world conqueror and they still own their title" Axel explained.
"Who cares!. It's either Laura dies or remain in that pack her father dead body can only be renewed by her" Lorenzo said, and stomped out of the room too leaving just Axel and Cora.
"Next time, you pass the information to me first before you come to the alpha to spill nonsense" Axel pushed her off the road and left the chamber ready to start his journey to the blood pack before Jacobs guards gets there.
