THE BEGINNING OF A DRAMA

Jessica settled into another room in the palace with the help of her spy, Joy who seems to be happy to see her back in the palace after so many years. Even though, Jessica is glad the queen accepted her back after her stupid mistake, she hated the fact Vincent still went ahead and announced his engagement ceremony to everyone has he no longer have anything to do with his eye wife.

She wondered why Vincent is protecting that lady so much and all her questions where answer immediately Joy opened her mouth to update her on everything going on in the palace.

"She is Vincent mate?" She asked.

"I don't know but I overheard them talking about it and she seems to be aware of that too, not sure yet"Joy replied.

"Okay, I want you to watch those closely as I know getting on Vincent wrong side now might get in me trouble. My plans are unfinished but I will be needing your help as usual" She told her.

"Okay, ma'am" She gently walked away after bowing at her own queen because she doesn't want to accept Laura.

Vincent and Laura had taken a stroll through the palace with Tina and Finda following her since they've been assigned to be her personal maid till the engagement ceremony when one of them has to leave for her duty back.

"So, that's your ex-wife?' She asked, trying to change the topic of their engagement Vincent had been talking about to avoid unnecessary argument about what their mother just did.

"Can we not talk about it?" Vincent asked, honestly.

"Why?. The queen mother doesn't accept me and she is ready to go extra miles for me to get myself out of your life" She shrugged.

"That's not the point, love. All that matters is I want to be with you and help you proof to the world you are..." He was interrupted by her again.

"Do you even like me or you just want to get back at my pack?" She asked, Vincent groaned in frustration.

"How the hell am I supposed to proof my love for you so you can just believe me for once" He looked so agitated.

"Just proof it" She replied.

"I have an Alpha job to do and you want me to..."

"You don't have to do it, you know" Laura replied, with a smirk crept widely on my face.

"Your look is telling me you are up to something new" He stared at her suspiciously trying to get figure out what she is really up to.

"Telling you what?" She chuckled, trying not to laugh so hard at the way he is making faces to figure out what she really meant by proof it. Instead, he stopped and she did too.

He pulled her close to him and, wrap his hand around her to bring her closer while Tina and Finda won't stop smiling like an idiot they were for not knowing they had to excuse them.

"If I get to figure out what you actually mean, I won't be easy on you" He leaned down to her neck, pushed few of the strand to the back of her ear and whispered the word into them.

"Why do I have a feeling you already solved the puzzle" She replied, flirting with him back.

"I did?" He press his lips on her neck and, gave them a little peck.

"My king!" a guard called, rushing down towards us and we pulled apart.

"My king!" He went on his kneels and bowed.

"What's wrong?" He asked, exchanging glance with me.

"Some warriors, are coming in hundreds toward the blood pack and it was recognised to be from the Silver pack" He announced. Laura, eye widened on hearing the warriors where from her previous pack because she moved down here.

"Gather the warriors, let us meet at the gate. I think it is time to out those bastards in their place" He groaned, angrily.

"My king!" the guard went on his kneels again.

"What's the problem?" Vincent asked..

"One of them with the name Axel await you in chamber claiming to have something important to say before it's too late" he completed.

"What! Axel is here?" Laura mentioned, but that only made Vincent anger risen again as he ordered the guard to follow him immediately and Laura seized the opportunity too and followed him even though he saw her, his words where out because he await what is about to happen.

Vincent walk into the Chamberlain with Laura and Axel stood to his feet immediately as he couldn't take his eye off Laura who starts to feel uncomfortable around him.

"Why are you here again?. It's not the engagement party yet" Vincent chirped in, trying not to punch him on his face for checking out his Mate.

"They found out she is here and they are making the dumbest decision ever" Axel said, finally taking his eye off Laura even though he steals a glance after each word that comes out of his mouth.

"They want a war to get my wife?" He asked.

"Exactly!" Axel replied.

"How did you find me and how did you know I was here?" Laura interrupted.

"I can get your smell out of thousands of women even though you ain't my Mate. We've been together for years and..."

"That's enough!" Vincent shun him up because his words to Laura irritated him.

"Laura, you need to be careful. Maeve, is getting involved too" he advised her.

"Maeve?" Her eye widened.

"Maeve, is now the Alpha of the Blood moon and he is announcing to everyone about his Luna which is you. He wants you too, I don't know what's wrong with the Alphas but I think it is something serious" Axel replied.

Alpha Vincent, sat down and he looked so furious on hearing what Axel was saying then he remembered his mother words that same afternoon about the coming war.

'All Alphas from around the world will go extreme to figure out what can keep them safe in the coming full moon war and unfortunately, that lady you are keeping there is their solution and they would do anything to harm the pack to have her. She must be the kick-ass heroine Alpha of the silver pack, they would come begging for her anytime soon'

Maeve, the new Alpha of the Blood moon turns out to be Laura childhood friend which simply means they grew up together and due to their closer he liked her and hoped the moon goddess had put them together but unfortunately his mate was an Alpha daughter and after the king passed away he had no son so he was chosen to be the new Alpha of the Blood moon pack.

Laura never set her eye on him for years now and she isn't even aware of his title in the Blood moon pack already.

"Where is Maeve now?" Laura asked.

"He isn't ready to attack yet, instead he is preparing for the full moon war that is fast approaching. You have to be safe, Laura and the only place you can is here. I miss you so badly but no matter what don't return to the silver pack. Jacob had gone crazy and sometimes I think he is bewitched by something because he is getting desperate in making you his Luna and Lorenzo's is busy ruling the pack instead of him" Axel explained.

"And, how am I supposed to trust whatever you are saying. Not like you ain't part of it because you got engaged to my best friend just immediately I left the palace. Cora is unbelievable!" Laura hissed at him.

"Laura, you need to believe me. I had been willingly to tell you all this but Lorenzo is after my life he mustn't know I was here before his warriors" Axel begged.

"Vincent" Adam barged into the chamber not expecting to see a total stranger from the Silver pack.

"What's up, Adam?" Vincent asked.

"I think you've got a message from..." he open the letter and read it out.

"It's a message from Alpha Jacob and his warriors left already" He replied.

"Let me see" Vincent stretched forth his hand to get the letter from Adam and he checked it with eye down.

"Is your Alpha crazy!" Vincent yelled in anger.

"We all need to calm down on this. I won't be coming here after this so please listen to me" Axel begged.

"He wants his Luna back to his land in the next one week or war!" Adam said, in dismay.

Laura, who doesn't even understand anymore ran out of the chamber instantly without looking back but unfortunately bumped into Jessica.

"Watch it, woman" Jessica yelled, angrily at her.

"I'm sorry, I don't have time for this" Laura tried to stride away but she pull her back and push her to the floor.

"oucccch" She winced in pain but Jessica just heartlessly walk away without caring about her and just the Tina showed up.

"My queen" She panicked, as she help her back to her feet.

"Take me to an empty room in the palace, I need to be alone" Laura cried.

Tina showed Laura to an empty room but she refused to leave her alone. She watched her cry and her heart breaks, what could have happened that made her this dejected?.

After the whole calamity that befalls the blood pack that day, Vincent was left with no choice but to go see his mother the next day and make enquiry of how he can put an end to it since she is an elderly one.

"My king" Gary bowed, on seeing him in the house again.

"Where is my mom?" he asked, ignoring him completely.

"She is inside" Gary replied, but Vincent just push him aside angrily and went inside to meet his Mom.

"Look who is at my abode after chasing me away yesterday" Annabelle said, looking so furious.

"I want to know the predestined our life" He replied, not minding her sarcasm.

"What are you talking about?" Her facial expressions changed wondering what he meant by predestined life.

Why are the Alphas chasing after that one person I had been fated with by the moon goddess?. She was kicked out like a nobody and now they all wants her back?.

"Did you receive an attack?" Annabelle asked.

"More like an attack, any water in the house?" He asked, taking a sit on the couch.

Annabelle fetch some water for him and passed it to him. He takes a sip and drop the glass on the table.

"I want to know everything about it, Mom" he continued.

"I will tell you everything you need to know but only on one condition" Annabelle replied.

"If it doesn't involve chasing Laura out of the pack" He replied.

"Then what else" She shouted.

"Mom!" he called.

"Fine! that's not it" She replied, he sighed softly leaning his head down on the couch.

"You look tired" Annabelle stated.

"Laura is no where to be found once again" he breaks to news to her in which she was shocked.

"What! where had she ran off to this time around?" She asked.

"Isn't that what you wanted?" Vincent asked.

"Stupid! I wanted that not after yesterday during our argument. I don't know what she did to you but I haven't seen you like that in years. Your eye glows whenever you talk about her and you can't even sit a seconds whenever someone speaks bad about her"

"I love her mom, I'm an Alpha and I shouldn't have a weakness. No one dared to confront the blood pack but ever since Laura entered my life they all took her as my weakness and the pack is at risk" he added.

"Then, let her go. She would come rushing back to you in no time but I think she needs to find out the truth herself and he strong" Annabelle replied.

"What are you talking about Mom?" Vincent asked.

"I will tell you how it all started..." She grabbed the glass of water from the table and, gulped it all down.
