Amy walked into the company's building and as soon as she got to the lobby, she knew something was amiss. Everyone was staring at her and whispering, but she could not hear what they were whispering about.

All of a sudden, she saw Liam coming towards her. Why wasn't he in his office as usual? She wondered. As soon the other staffs sighted him, they stopped whispering.

"What's going on?" She asked him.

"Your phone, please," he said to her.

She stared at him in confusion. "Why?"

"It has come to my notice that your phone has been bugged, so I'll have to take out the chip," he replied.

She was astonished and perplexed. "By who?" She asked.

"No time for questions, Amy. Hand over your phone to me and I'll answer all your questions later,"

Hesitantly, she handed her phone over to him as she looked over at the staffs. Some were still whispering in hush tones.

"You'll get it by the end of the day," he replied and turned to the staffs. "Get back to work all of you and if I should find y'all doing other things instead of working, y'all will get fired," he warned as he walked away.

Amy went after him, not very convinced after his last statement. "Liam, what's going on?" She asked him.

"Do not worry, Amy. I'll just have a look at your phone and everything will be fine,"

"But, why is there a chip in my phone? Who will bug my phone?" She asked, worriedly.

He paused and turned around. He could see the confusion in her eyes as he held her shoulders. "Do you trust me?"

She stared at him and swallowed as she nodded.

"Let me handle it," he said and she nodded again.

Kayla sipped from the glass of juice in her hand as she sat on the couch and turned on the E news. "Nothing exciting ever trends on the entertainment news these days," she snickered.

She was about to change the channel when suddenly she saw pictures of Amy on the screen. She almost spat out the drink in her mouth. "Damn, I've got to call Amy," she muttered.

Amy went over to the cafeteria in the office during lunch break and as she poured herself a cup of coffee, she could still feel the eyes of her colleagues on her. Their eyes were accusing and resentful. She knew they never did like her because of her closeness with Liam and he favored her, but they have never looked at her in this way before. It was just too much.

Was it because of the chip in her phone? Which may affect them all? She wondered. If that wasn't the reason, what then will it be?

She was about to leave the cafeteria when she heard her name from the LED TV hung up on the wall. She stopped abruptly and turned around to look at the screen.

"The ugly secrets of the omega, Amy Scott, the mistress of the alpha of the Dark Moon pack, Cole Darrel has been exposed," Olivia, the hostess of the E news said and Amy swallowed as her eyes were glued to the screen. "It has been discovered that Amy Scott lured our charming Cole Darrel into sleeping with her seven years ago and has since then, been his mistress. This has left Shantel Jackson, his supposed mate and wife to be in total shock that her fiancee has been cheating on her with an omega for the past seven years! Amy could barely breathe as she stumbled back. She tried not to fall as she looked for support from the water dispenser. She looked over at her colleagues as they whispered. Their eyes were very judgemental.

It finally came to her. This was why they were staring at her since morning. This was why Liam had taken her phone away from her so she wouldn't go through the internet. Her heart pummeled and her chest ached. She was hurt and in pains. The lies were like a knife driven hard into her chest.

"Amy, I..." Liam began to say as he walked into the cafeteria, but stopped as he saw Amy holding on to the water dispenser for support and his ears picked the sound of her name and Cole's from the TV. "Finally, Cole will be tying the knot with Shantel, and Amy will no longer have her manipulating fingers wrapped around him," Olivia said.

"Fuck," he muttered as he looked at the screen briefly. He rushed over to her. "Amy, are you alright?" He asked her, worriedly.

She tried to catch her breath. "Was there ever a chip in my phone?" She asked, looking at him slowly.

He swallowed, unable to meet her gaze. "Amy, I..."

"Was there?" She reiterated and he shook his head, his eyes reflecting hurt.

She turned around, walking away briskly.

"Amy.." he called after her, but she didn't turn.

"Whore," a colleague muttered as she walked pass and at that moment, it fueled Amy's desire to run and she did just that. She ran as fast as her legs to go with Liam calling and running after her.

She ran out of the building and got into the available taxi she saw. "Just go," she said to the taxi driver and he drove off.

They got to a bridge and Amy asked him to pull over. She got out of the taxi and standing, she held the rails of the bridge as the tears she fought so hard to conceal, finally dropped down her eyes.

She just wanted to disappear at that moment, but she couldn't. Instead, she thought of hiding somewhere to let out all her emotions.

Amy arrived at the Grove that Cole had brought her to and she let out her emotions as she cried and screamed, falling to the ground. As if the lies about her wasn't enough, Shantel was also marrying Cole? It was like Amy was losing her mind.

She stood up after a while and dusted herself.

"Amy," she heard the very voice she was trying to hide from. She turned around and her eyes met with that of Cole's shining in naked pain.
