Chapter 126: Chapter 126

Kathy gasped in shock. Liam rose up to his feet and felt the blood with his hand. He stared hard at Cole. “Maybe it’s time you realize that Amy doesn’t want you,” he fired at him.

Cole proceeded to punch him again, but Kayla stopped him. “Stop this instance, the both of you. It’s best to ask the doctor how far she’s gone,” she said, and walked away.

She returned with the doctor who went in to draw Amy’s blood and took it to the lab. She proceeded to carry out a scan on Amy too.

A few minutes later, the results were out. “She’s four months gone,” the doctor announced to the shock of Liam. Amy had only been around him for three months. Feeling defeated, he walked away.

“May I ask how’s that possible? She lost her baby in an accident almost four months ago,” Kayla said.

“I believe she was supposed to have a set of twins. One of the babies were hidden, and the other one didn’t survive the crash. Probably shielded his twin. Perhaps the previous doctor didn’t notice this,” the doctor explained.

“What sorcery is this?” Kathy was shocked.

The doctor smiled. “It’s a very rare case, ma’am. The moon goddess walks in mysterious ways,”

“May I see her now?” Cole asked, and the doctor nodded with a smile.

Cole walked into the ward and there was Amy on a sitting position. She gave him a warm smile as he smiled at her.

“Found out, uh?” She asked as he drew closer to her.

He nodded, still smiling as he placed his hands on her stomach. At this point, he realized that her stomach was no longer as flat as before. “You didn’t want to tell me?” He asked.

“I did. Kayla called severally. You refused to pick up,” She replied.

He kissed her stomach. “Forgive me, love. I was carrying out my abducting plan,” he flashed a devilish grin.

She chuckled. He noticed Liam’s ring on her finger and took her hand as he took out the ring. He reached into his pocket, and pulled out the ring he gave her before. Amy was surprised to know that he had the ring with him.

“This rightfully belongs here,” he said as he slipped the ring into her finger.

She chuckled and nodded. “It is,”

Kayla and Kathy walked into the room. “Oh my goodness, my baby,” they both chorused.

“Are you okay?” Kayla asked, and Amy chuckled as she nodded.

Cole stood up. “I’ll go fill the paperwork,” he said, and walked away.

“How did Cole find you?” Kathy asked.

Amy shrugged. She didn’t want to tell her mother that her husband kidnapped her. “I don’t know. He just did,” but, she would definitely tell her best friend once they are alone.

“Glad to see that you’re fine,” Kayla said.

“I’ll go check on Tris,” Kathy said and Amy nodded.

Kayla watched her leaved before popping her question. “So, how did Cole find you?” She asked.

“He was responsible for the kidnap,” Amy said and Kayla gasped in surprise. “He didn’t want me getting married,” Amy continued.

“He kidnapped you just to stop your wedding, and he made it look like he didn’t give a fuck. That’s crazy,”

“I know right,”

“He’s like the greenest of the reddest flags!” Kayla smiled, and Amy chuckled. “Liam was out there claiming the baby is his,” she added.

“What?” Amy was shocked.

Kayla nodded. “I was surprised too. He went as far as to say he had sexual relations with you,”

“That’s literally a lie. We were close enough to hug but not to have sex. The only time we shared a kiss was when he proposed to me,” Amy explained.

“I knew it. The so called green flag was a red flag in disguise. Literally a lying motherfucker,” Kayla hissed.

Just then, Liam walked into the ward. Turns out he was still in the hospital building.

Kayla frowned when she saw him. “And the wacko is here,”

Amy looked at him. “Kay, please excuse us,” she said.

“Are you sure you can be alone with him? I don’t trust him,” Kayla replied.

“I’ll be fine,” Amy said.

Kayla sighed in resignation. “Alright,” she replied as she walked away, giving Liam a death glare.

Liam noticed the ring on Amy’s finger was different. “So, you and Cole are back together?”

Amy nodded. “Yes,”

“Because of the baby?” He inquired.

“No,” she replied plainly.

“Why are you playing this back and forth game with me? Do you realize that today was supposed to be our wedding day?” He asked, anger evident in his tone.

She swallowed. “I’m sorry I led you on, Liam. I don’t want to get married to you anymore. I realized that I could be making a mistake,”

He cupped his fingers over his mouth and laughed dryly as he looked away. He refocused his gaze on her. “You realized?”

“The stigma of being tagged the woman who moved from one friend to another,”

“Do you think I care? I was literally going to go against all the odds just for you!” He raised his voice. Never has she seen him this angry.

“Why did you lie to everyone that I was sleeping with you?” She asked.

“Anything to get Cole riled up and not want you again is what I would do,” he said, walking towards her. “Do you know how long I patiently waited to claim you as mine?” He asked, and Amy was becoming scared of him. “Every day, I watch Cole hurt you, and instead of walking away, you keep going back to him. Don’t you realize that he’s no good for you?”

“Cole have not intentionally hurt me. It has always been the ploy of his ex,” she replied.

“And now you’re going back. Don’t you think it may get worse?” He asked as he ran his fingers on her stomach. She flung his hand away. “You’ve deeply hurt me, Amy. I was ready to give the world to you,” he added.

“I didn’t mean to hurt you,” she was literally panicking. He was so calm and dangerous at once.

“But you did,” he said, and raised his hand to touch her face. She squeezed her eyes tightly, thinking it was something else.

“Step away from her,”

She heard Cole’s voice and opened her eyes. She breathed deeply in relief as she saw him at the door.

Liam stepped away from her. “It’s fine. Wish y’all the best,” he said as he walked away.

Cole stopped him. “You forgot this,” he said, showing him the ring.

Liam gave a dry chuckle. “Ah, yes. My ring,” he replied as he took the ring away from him. “Looks like I’ve lost to you, Cole…again,” he added before walking away.

Cole went over to Amy. “Are you okay? Did he hurt you?” He asked worriedly as he sat beside her.

She shook her head. “No, he didn’t,”

He sighed as he placed his hand behind her neck gently. “Everything will be okay,” he assured her.

She swallowed as she nodded. She really hoped everything would be okay. He placed his head on hers and they both closed their eyes.

**Two weeks later**

“I pronounce you both man and wife,” the papist priest said. “You may kiss the bride,” he added.

Cole grinned as he held Amy’s face and kissed her, to the clapping of the people present. Amy chuckled. She looked over at the crowd and she could see her son jumping up for joy, Kayla clapping the loudest, her mother looking well pleased, and Mr Darrel smiling pleasantly.

She had finally wore a white wedding dress and was pronounced Cole’s wife. Her joy knew no bounds. These past two weeks have been a seamless one with no problem. No Shantel. No Liam.

Cole and Amy didn’t wait for the wedding merriment at the reception. They were leaving for Paris with Tris to begin all afresh.

Kayla said how much she was going to miss Amy and Tris. She warned Cole to treat them with care or she would be on a plane to Paris and beat him up. He chuckled and promised to be of good behavior. Amy also told Paul to take care of her best friend and Paul promised to do so as he pulled her in and kissed her forehead.

After saying their goodbyes to their families and friends, their car drove off to Cole’s hanger. Amy rested her head on Cole’s shoulders and he held her hand. Tris smiled as he watched his parents. “We’re finally together,” he said.

Amy chuckled and Cole smiled. “Yes we are, son,”

“And I’m getting a baby sister!” he said in a singing voice.

“Definitely,” Amy replied as they all laughed.

They finally arrived at the hanger, and as they stepped down, Cole got a call from his father. “Cole, there’s a little problem,” mr Darrel said as Cole picked up.

“What is it?” Cole asked.

“Remember I told you alpha Theo wanted to use one of the jets?”

“Yes?”

“He used your favorite one,”

Cole’s head rang as he looked around the hanger, and indeed his black jet wasn’t there.

“What the fuck? I reserved it specifically for my family. Our things are in there,” Cole tried his best not to yell.

“Forgive me, son. I just got the information. He only left five minutes ago. I could tell him to come back,”

“Forget it,” Cole replied and ended the call.

Amy placed her hand on his shoulder. “What is it?”

“My father’s friend took the jet I reserved for us,” he replied, looking exhausted.

“Oh,” she exclaimed softly.

“Greg,” he called his beta.

“Right here,” Greg replied. He stood beside him.

“Why didn’t you get notified? Where the fuck is Killian? He was in charge of the jet,”

“Well, alpha, Killian had called me about it. He said alpha Theo said your father knew about him taking the jet and so did you. Alpha Theo was adamant on taking it as he said it fit his style,”

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Cole was losing it.

“It’s okay, Cole. Calm down,” Amy said gently.

“Since I was in another car, I couldn’t. I tried calling, but that was the same time you got called,”

“We can always take another jet,” Amy said.

“I reserved it for us,” Cole replied with a sigh.

She smiled. “It’s fine. Let’s take the other,” she said.

Cole finally agreed and they took the other jet. Tris was so thrilled to be in his father’s jet. As the jet approached the runway and took off, Cole got a call from one of the operators in the hanger. “Alpha, the black jet just exploded,”

“What?” Shock was written all over his face.

“The pilot called to lay a complaint, and as we monitored the jet on the screen, it just exploded. The rescue team has gone to the site where the pilot was communicating to us from,”

Cole dropped the phone, mollified by what he just heard. That could have been them. Was the jet messed with by someone?

“What happened? Who called?” Amy asked as she noticed the change in his demeanor.

“The black jet…exploded,” he was hesitant to tell her but he had to. Amy was too stunned to speak. Her thoughts raced. She realized that could have been her and her family.
