Chapter 88: Chapter 88

"Me too." I agreed, leaning up to hug Alpha Clause tightly.

"Anyway, let's go. I've already met up with Alpha Nathan, so I don't need to go see him anymore." Alpha Clause said to me as he stepped back and took my hand in his, interlacing our fingers together.

"Okay. Let's go, honey." I told him as my smile widened into a bright one, our eyes meeting and a moment passing between us which made me blush.

I glanced at Luna Ashley and Luna Kasey as I said, "Bye, see you when you come over or I come over."

"Take care, Luna Fay!" Luna Kasey called after me with a large smile on her face.

Luna Ashley only nodded at me as she waved her hand at me with a small smile touching her face. I felt glad that she was finally being nice to us. I knew that Luna Kat would be shocked, but knew that she would accept the new her right away!

"Don't forget what we talked about, Luna Ashley. Behave yourself and please don't hurt anyone else." I cautioned her with a smile on my face as we headed out of the cabin.

"Yes, I wouldn't, Luna Fay. We're already past that." She agreed, looking confused and surprised.

"That's great." I called over my shoulder as Alpha Clause and I walked out of the kitchen to head to the front door.

"Are you nervous?" Alpha Clause asked as he put his arm back around me.

"A little, but it's mostly excitement." I admitted.

"I think that you will be fine, Luna Fay." He assured me with a smile.

"Thanks. I hope so." I smiled as I gazed up at him.

We headed to the car and got in, and then he pulled out and drove off. I stared out the window at the snowy landscape outside as I waited for him to drive us home.

When we arrived, Rachel and Beta Bailey was standing there to greet us.

"Hello, Alpha Clause and Luna Fay!" They both said in unison, smiling brightly as they came to meet us at the front of the house.

"Why are you two meeting us here? Is something wrong?" Alpha Clause asked as he looked between the two of them.

"Yes, well, I saw a vision about the two of you and your enemy, Alpha Ross. I wanted to warn you that something big was coming." Rachel him quickly, looking worried and nervous.

"Is he planning to attack us again? We have been trying to catch him since he escaped, but couldn't find him." Alpha Clause asked her.

"I'm not sure. But I thought that you should know about it right away. Don't forget that he attacked us several times before. He could do it again easily." She warned him.

"Understood. Thank you for letting us know, but we won't let him win or get away again. We will catch him for sure." Alpha Clause said to her as he stared at her with concern.

"I hope you do, Alpha Clause. I pray that nothing happens to you or to Luna Fay." She said with sincere concern in her voice.

"I will protect her, just like I always have." He promised as he glanced back at me with a determined, yet concerned look on his face.

Nodding my head, I grinned at him as I replied, "I know you will, honey, but I can protect myself. I won't let him get away with hurting you, me or our pack either!"

"I know that you can, Luna Fay, but I am not just worried about you; I am worried about everyone else in our pack. Please be careful. The last thing that I want is to lose you or someone else like we lost the others in our pack." He told me seriously.

"I promise. I will be careful." I told him with a gentle smile.

"Okay, let's go inside and figure out what to do next." He said as he motioned for them to follow him.

Once we were all inside, he sat down in the chair beside the fireplace and motioned for me to sit on the couch across from him.

"We need to plan our next steps. First, Beta Bailey, how is the pack doing? Are you finding it hard to manage things with just the two of you?" Alpha Clause asked her.

"It isn't easy, but we're managing alright. We've been looking for Alpha Ross like instructed us to do this morning, Alpha, but we still haven't found him yet." She told him.

"Okay, good. What else do you need?" Alpha Clause asked her.

"Well, we are a little short on supplies. Our stores ran low earlier than usual, so we were forced to buy more than we usually do. We also have some injured wolves that need care, but we don't have enough healers right now. We may end up needing to take in some fostered wolves temporarily until we can find more. Also, we're running out of space, especially if we bring in any newbies, which we might have to do soon." She said to him as I stared at her in surprise.

Alpha Clause gave her a serious look, "What did you say?"

"I just meant that we might need to take on a few fostered wolves temporarily. We're a little short on healers right now and we may need to take in some new recruits soon. I know that it would be best if they were from another pack to help balance out our numbers, but we may need to take on some fostered wolves temporarily." She explained carefully.

"You mean that we could possibly gain some new wolves?" Alpha Clause asked curiously.

"Yes, probably. I mean even though we just took in some of Alpha Ross's rogues, we could still take a few more. Some came by just now while you were out picking up Luna Fay, they wanted to join the pack and they were so eager."
