I was relieved by his explanation but still felt uneasy by the fact that Alpha Ross might actually be plotting something. How were we going to find out what it was without the Mirror Of Wisdom? He also could see our every move through it, he might use that against us in his plan to takeover.

"I guess you're right." I replied as I let out a deep sigh and closed my eyes.

When I opened them back up, I noticed Alpha Clause had taken a step back and was staring off into the distance. It took me a second to realize why he was looking so concerned; it was because he was looking at Alpha Ross who was trying to sneak past us.

"Clause! Here he comes!" I cried out as I pointed to Alpha Ross.

"Oh crap! Look out! He's coming to attack us." Carter shouted.

"Is he alone?" Alpha Clause asked as he hurriedly got into position.

"Yes. He's definitely alone…" Carter replied as he watched Alpha Ross disappear behind a corner.

"Where exactly did he go? We need to follow him." Alpha Clause quickly commanded as he grabbed my hand in his and started running.

"He went down those stairs, we need to hurry!" I yelled out as I ran alongside Alpha Clause, trying to keep up with his long strides.

We burst through the door of the building when we arrived at the bottom of the staircase and saw Alpha Ross standing in the middle of an empty room, staring at us. My heart started racing when I realized that he was completely focused on us and wasn't distracted by any other possible danger.

"Alpha Ross, what are you doing here, you scum?!" I asked as I approached him slowly.

"I've come to finish this." He answered as he smirked and shook his head.

My blood froze as I looked at Alpha Ross' expression. I knew that smirk. It was the same one he always wore when he thought he had won.

"What do you mean?" I asked, my voice trembling slightly.

"This is your last warning. Leave now or die." Alpha Ross threatened me coldly.

I frowned at him as I looked at Alpha Clause to see how he was reacting. He gave me a quick nod before rushing forward to grab Alpha Ross by his hair.

"Oh yeah? Well, I guess I should kill you right now!" I shouted as I swung my leg back to kick him straight in the chest.

His head flew backwards and landed on the floor with a loud thud. I was disappointed that I hadn't hit him hard enough to knock him out but I didn't give up; I didn't want to leave any openings for him to escape.

"I'm glad you're still here instead of leaving after you escaped because I would love to bring an end to you and your evil plans!" Alpha Clause exclaimed as he stalked towards Alpha Ross as he scrambled to get up.

"Bring it on, you pathetic little wolf." Alpha Ross laughed as he got to his feet.

I glared at him as I clenched my fists. I wanted him dead as soon as possible but I knew that I needed to plan my next move carefully because Alpha Ross was strong. But Alpha Clause was even stronger and he growled at the insults hauled at him. His jaw clenched in anger along with his fists as a frown fell on his brows and he threw a punch at Alpha Ross's abdomen.

"Bastard!" Alpha Ross cursed as he covered himself and took a step back away from Alpha Clause.

"Fool, you should've known better than to call me a bastard. Now, pay the price for your mistake!" Alpha Clause growled as he took another step forward.

"Hahaha, you can't hurt me! I'm never going to let you catch me again!" Alpha Ross taunted him as he tried to dodge Alpha Clause's punches.

"Shut your mouth, you piece of shit!" Alpha Clause shouted angrily.

"Didn't you hear me? I'm not going to let you catch me ever again!" Alpha Ross spat out as he tried to strike Alpha Clause's head with his fist.

Alpha Clause blocked his punch with his forearm and punched him in the stomach with his other arm. The force of his punch sent Alpha Ross flying through the air and he crashed onto the ground with a heavy thud.

"Don't touch me! Stay away from me!" Alpha Ross screamed in pain as he rolled across the floor, trying to crawl back towards the exit.

"You don't get to leave! Bastard!" Alpha Clause growled as he rushed over to Alpha Ross to pin him down by his shoulders.

"Shut up! I'll make you suffer as much as you've made me suffer!" Alpha Ross growled as he struggled to free himself from Alpha Clause's grip.

"You think you can beat me? You're wrong! I'm the strongest wolf here and I will defeat you with my bare hands!" Alpha Clause shouted in return, his voice filled with rage.

"Carter, get the rope!" I called out to him as I watched my Alpha mate place his foot on Alpha Ross' chest to hold him down.

"No, I'll deal with him." He replied as he grabbed Alpha Ross by the scruff of his neck to pull him up.

"Don't be so sure, I can handle him. Just stay put." Alpha Clause warned him as he snarled at Alpha Ross, who was struggling to get free and spit out curses at him.

"How dare you touch me! You are nothing more than a weakling! I'll destroy you, you f**king bastard!" Alpha Ross shouted, using every curse word he could think of at Alpha Clause who just glared back.

"I'll show you my strength, you piece of sh*t!" Alpha Clause growled as he kicked Alpha Ross in the gut, knocking all the wind out of his lungs.

"I've had enough of you! I'll rip your throat open, you f***ing coward!" Alpha Ross roared back before he charged at Alpha Clause, intent on tearing him apart.

Alpha Clause braced himself for the impact but he barely moved when Alpha Ross collided with him.
