Chapter 58: Chapter 58
"Yeah." Luna Kasey agreed as she gave Asgard a distrustful look too.
I nodded as I also agreed, "Me too."
Asgard scoffed, but maintained his fake, yet evil smile as he replied, "Fine, you don't have to believe me. Anyway, we've reached the place, so your friends are right here."
We looked towards where he gestured as he stopped, and I saw Alpha Mason, Alpha Wyatt, Luna Kat, Luna Ashley and Alpha Sloan tied up around a small tree with their mouths gagled with a cloth tied around their mouths. A light bulb hung from the ceiling which was part of the large tree. Alpha Nathan, Luna Kasey, Carter, Alpha Clause and I rushed forward to help them, forgetting to look over Asgard since he could trap us and that was exactly what he did. He trapped us.
"Don't come any closer, or I will lock you all up here." He threatened us, making us stop and turn around to see him standing at the doorway of the tunnel that we were in, blocking it as he held onto the brown door.
Alpha Clause growled in anger, "Don't you dare! You won't be able to hold us here."
"I already told you, you will never leave this Forbidden Forest alive." He warned us as he stepped back and started closing the door shut.
We all stared at him in shock before we looked at each other then rished forward to stop him, but we were too late. The sneaky little Leprechaun has locked us up inside the large tree and left. However, we couldn't just stay locked up in here, we needed to escape no matter what.
"Now what do we do? How do we open the door?" I cried out as I looked around at the others.
He shook his head and a frown fell on his brows, concern evident on his face as he answered me, "I'm not sure, we need to find a way to unlock it."
"I know or we will all be stuck inside here forever!" Luna Kasey yelled, looking panicked.
"Calm down, babe. We're not getting stuck down here, we will find a way out no matter what." Alpha Nathan reassured her as he gave her a soft smile.
"I believe so too." Carter added as he let out a breath.
Alpha Clause nodded as he glanced at me and touched my arm gently as if to reassure me as his lips tugged up into a reassuring smile before he turned around to look over at everyone, "Yeah, no need to panic. We're going to get through this and get the hell out of this Forbidden Forest no matter what it takes! Let's split up and search the area for a place in the bark of the door to open it like he opened the bark when we were coming in. But if we don't find it then we need to find something like a stick or weapon that we can use to unlock the door."
I smiled back at him as I replied, "Okay, let's go."
"Yes, Alpha!" Carter answered him, looking like he couldn't wait to get out of this God forsaken forest. I couldn't wait either, besides, we needed to find Alpha Ross and finish this once and for all before he got the chance to take over all of our packs.
Alpha Nathan and Luna Kasey nodded in agreement as he said, "We will untie the others while you work on getting the door open."
We only nodded at them as Carter, Alpha Clause and I stepped forward to search for an opening on the door or the wall near it like we saw Asgard do to open the bark of the tree. While Alpha Nathan and Luna Kasey went to untie our friends.
"We'll have to go out through the top of the tree," Carter whispered as he looked around the room, "I don't know what kind of magic they've put up on the door, but if they're similar to the ones they used to knock us out the first time they captured us then it could take a while."
"You're right, Carter, so we need a way to the top if we aren't able to open the door." Alpha Clause answered him as he looked up at the ceiling.
He pointed at one of the walls where there was a thick green tint to the wood, "Look at that." he said with a nervous tone.
"What's wrong?" Asked Alpha Nathan who had just untied Alpha Sloan's hands and feet from the tree.
"It means that the wood of the tree is old and fragile which means that we can break through it. What do you think?" Alpha Clause motioned to where the moss lined the wooden tree.
"I don't think that's a good idea because the tree might collapse on us since as you have said, the tree is old." Alpha Mason replied as he stood up right after Luna Kasey untied his hands and feet.
Alpha Clause nodded as he agreed, "Yes, you're right. We need to be careful and instead, find a way to open the door."
He glanced over at me, and everyone swiftly as we all nodded our heads in agreement. Carter didn't say anything since he seemed to be too busy searching for the latch to open the door. That reminded me that we needed to continue searching, so I turned back to the wall close to the door and started feeling it to find the latch.
Carter shrugged his shoulders and nodded his head as he added, "Alright then, let's try the door then since it will also be risky to try getting out through the top."
He continued searching for the latch while Alpha Clause nodded as he added, "Exactly, I'm glad you understand."
Alpha Clause turned then walked closer to the door before he stopped and moved his hand over the lock. He pressed his palm against the metal padlock that was attached to the door and it began to turn with a slight click. I gasped as I exclaimed, feeling relieved, "You've found the latch, Clause!"
