Chapter 57: Chapter 57

"I don't know if that's a good idea, I would rather we fight them and force Asgard to release our friends. I mean, he's seems so cunning and would try to outsmart us otherwise." I mumbled under my breath, and then I looked up at him with a hopeful look on my face. "Don't you think that's a better idea?"

Alpha Clause sighed as he nodded his head, "Yes, you're right, my one. We can't risk losing the Mirror Of Wisdom, we need to keep it safe and save our friends no matter what."

"Yeah, let's fight to protect the Mirror Of Wisdom and save our friends." Carter agreed with a sigh and then as he nodded his head.

"Yes, we must hurry and attack these Leprechauns then have them set our friends free." Luna Kasey said as she stood firmly, ready for a fight.

Alpha Clause clenched his hands into fists and straightened his back as he stood firmly on the ground. I also readied myself to fight as I took the same stance, my eyes cautious as they surveyed the area that we were in.

"Yes, I agree too. Let's attack now!" Alpha Nathan agreed as he looked over at Alpha Clause, Luna Kasey, me and Carter who was keeping the mirror safe.

"We're ready to give you the mirror, Asgard or don't you want it anymore?" Alpha Clause yelled out to him as he looked around the forest, staying alert as he waited for him to fight back.

Asgard suddenly jumped out of the bushes and his army of Leprechauns followed. He stretched his hand forward as he raised both brows as he waited for us to give him the Mirror of Wisdom, "Well?"

We didn't bother to answer them as we rushed towards the Leprechauns to attack them which made them all looked shocked, but they fought back. After a few seconds of fighting, I had managed to land a few hits on some of them and they fell to the ground in pain. Another pink haired Leprechaun that was female jumped at me, but I grabbed hold of one of her arms and pulled it behind their back then twisted it back so they couldn't move anymore.

"That's what you get for being cunning!" I shouted at them as I threw her aside on the ground just as Asgard rushed towards me.

I jumped back and turned around to land a kick on his chest. He also hit the ground, but face first as he groaned which made me grin. I stood over him as he rolled into his back. I kicked him in the stomach and held him down with my foot, making him yelp in pain. I narrowed my eyes at him as Alpha Clause and the others came to stand beside me, "Where are our friends?"

His expression was filled with fear and anger qs he spat out, "You will pay for this! You'll all die here!"

I smirked as I raised a brow, "Oh? And jow would we die?"

He looked up at me angrily, "Because of the Mirror of Wisdom!"

Alpha Clause growled from beside us, looking frustrated with him, "Yes, we have it, but that has nothing to do with the answer to our question! Where are our friends?"

Asgard laughed mischievously, "It will kill you!"

"We both know that isn't true since you also want it, and if you don't tell us where they are now, I'm going to make sure you regret it." I warned him as I dug the heel of my boot covered foot into his chest harder.

He groaned in pain and quickly raised his hands in surrender as he said through his fake smile, "Fine, I will talk, just let me go."

I pulled my foot off his stomach and stood over him as I crossed my arms against my chest, "Then talk."

He dusted his green pants with his hands then smiled mischievously as he said, "Follow me and I will take you to them."

I narrowed my eyes at him, "Why should we trust you?"

He laughed as he grinned in such an evil way, "Because I am your only hope."

"What does that mean?" I asked him, frustrated and curious.

"Just follow me and I'll show you because it's hard to explain where we've hidden them."

"Fine, lead us to them." Alpha Clause replied to him as he narrowed his eyes at him in distrust.

He turned around and started leading us towards the forest while we stood by his side with our eyes on him. His followers stayed back as they watched us go. He finally stopped at a large oak tree and pressed a space on the side of the bark. The large bark lifted up like a door and he led us down inside the tree. It was dark inside so he used his magic to make his hand glow to see the way. There were other smaller trees inside that made the room look like a tunnel.

He walked forward as he glanced back at us and said, "You must be careful not to touch anything else except what is in front of you or you might get hurt."

"Why is that?" I questioned as I hurried up to keep up with him.

"This place is dangerous, and if you're not careful, you could die."

"I hope you're not threatening us, Asgard." Alpha Clause said in a firm voice.

"How can you even live down there? It looks so dark and cold down here." I asked him in disbelief as I gestured around us.

He shook his head as he answered both of us, "We have magic that helps keep us warm and safe from harm. As for if it is a threat, trust me, it's not."

"Like your kind of power?" Carter asked, curiously.

He nodded as he replied, "Yes."

"How can anyone trust you? Leprechauns are known for being cunning and evil, you have also proven that to us many times." Alpha Clause interjected as he shook his head and looked at him with distrust clearly on his face."

Alpha Nathan nodded as he added, "Exactly what I believe too."
