Chapter 56: Chapter 56
I wondered if I was still dreaming, and if I was, I hoped that I would wake up soon. Alpha Clause rushed to them and placed me down on the ground gently.
"Alpha Clause! Luna Fay!" Luna Kasey gasped, looking relieved to see us just like the other two.
Alpha Clause stepped towards them and started untying them as he asked, "Who tied you up? Don't tell me that it's those damned sirens?"
Alpha Nathan shook his head as he answered him, "No, it's those Leprechauns!"
I gasped as I said with a frown on my brows, "I knew that they would come back, especially since I saw Asgard watching me when we teleported at the lake of Eversea."
"God, that man gives me the creeps." I added with a freaked out look on my face.
Luna Kasey nodded her head in agreement as she cried out, "Yes, and we were going to warn you about them but then they took us away from here before we could do anything."
"Well, don't worry," Alpha Clause told them with a smile on his face. "We'll take care of this problem for you."
"What are you going to do?" Luna Kasey asked him nervously while she looked down at the ground.
He smiled again as he replied, "Now that you three are free, we need to find the others and get out of here."
They nodded her head to him as they said together, "Yes, we agree with you too."
"Then let's go," he told them with a nod of his own, and then they followed behind him as we continued through the Forbidden Forest, but after a while, we noticed that there was no one around.
As I looked over at Alpha Clause, I saw him looking around as he said, "Something seems odd, we're being followed."
I frowned as I also looked around then said with a hint of panic in my voice, "Oh, yeah, I almost forgot about the Leprechauns. Could they be the ones following us?"
He nodded his head and said, "That's what I thought."
"So where are they now?" Alpha Nathan asked him curiously, and then he looked up ahead as he yelled, "Come out wherever you are, Asgard!"
The sound of footsteps echoed off the trees as we all turned our heads in the direction of where he was pointing, and sure enough, there was a group of green-clothed Leprechauns making their way towards us with Asgard leading them, so we stopped walking immediately and waited to see what they wanted.
"You want to get out of here, right?" Asgard asked us with a raised eyebrow as he approached us.
"Yeah, don't tell me that's why you're following us." Alpha Clause answered him with a a firm look on his face as he crossed his muscular arms against his chest.
He grunted in annoyance as he said, "Not exactly, we have your friends, so we want to make a deal with you."
"I don't know." I muttered with a frown on my brows as I looked over at Alpha Clause.
"It's fine, Fay." Alpha Clause said to me with a reassuring smile. "We've got this."
"Yeah, we can make a good deal for sure." Alpha Nathan added as he nodded firmly.
"Alright, if you're all sure." I replied to them as we all stood there waiting to see what the Leprechauns wanted from us.
Asgard and the Leprechauns stepped closer to us and Alpha Clause put his arm out in front of him to stop them from coming any further forward as he said, "You can stay there and tell us exactly what kind of deal you want with us."
"You give us the Mirror of Wisdom in exchange for your friends." Asgard smiled mischievously as an evil glint showed in his eyes as he demanded with a growl.
I frowned at him and scoffed, "No way, we wouldn't give the Mirror of Wisdom to you because you're evil, you can't have it."
"We don't care about how you think of us," he snapped back at me angrily, "Just give us the Mirror of Wisdom and your friends are free. If not, we eat them."
"You're just going to give the mirror to our enemy, Alpha Ross. So why should we give it to you?" Alpha Clause asked in a growl as his jaw clenched.
"You have no choice," Asgard snapped at him even though fear showed on his face, but he was trying to play tough.
He continued as he clenched his hands into fists, "If you want to save your friends, then you must give the mirror to me or else, you won't be able to save them."
"Can we at least talk with them first before we decide?" I negotiated with him with a worried look on my face.
However, he shook his head as he answered me, "No, you can speak to them once you give me the mirror. Now bring it."
"You're not going to let us talk?" Alpha nathan asked him in an annoyed tone, and then he glared at him. "Or do you think that you have the upper hand here?"
"Of course, I have the upper hand because I'm a wise Leprechaun and you are tired eerewolves, eager to go home or should I say Lycans?" He snarled and then he turned around and stormed off into the forest.
"What the hell?" I exclaimed in surprise as I watched him go, and then I narrowed my eyes at the forest trees where he had disappeared and said, "Why did he suddenly turn into such a jerk?"
"Because he hates us, besides z he has always been a jerk." Alpha Nathan muttered as he looked around as if trying to pin point where Asgard an his Leprechauns have disappeared to. I knew that they were still here, they were just hiding out of sight.
I sighed and bit my lip as I turned to Alpha Clause and asked, "So, what are we going to do now?"
"Well, we need to save them, so we would just have to give them the mirror and hope that Asgard doesn't betray our deal." He replied to me with a sigh leaving his lips too.
