Chapter 50: Chapter 50
"But then how did he even know that we were in the Forbidden Forest? Someone must have told him." Alpha Nathan asked as he looked confused.
Alpha Clause nodded as he crossed his muscular arms against his chest, "Yes, I believe so too. He might have had some rogues watching our pack house and they probably saw us leave, so they followed us here and made a deal with Asgard."
I clapped my hand as I commented, "That makes so much sense."
"So if that's the case then someone might be watching us right now. How can we get Aloha Ross without him knowing?" Alpha Mason asked with a frown on his brows.
"We can split into two or three groups after we ask the mirror where he is. One group will head towards his location while the other two will head towards the front and back roads if his location so that he wouldn't be able to escape." I said as I looked around at them.
"That's a great plan." Alpha Nathan complimented with a small smile.
The others nodded in agreement, and Alpha Clause added as his alluring dark eyes captured my brown ones and his lips twitched up into a proud smile, "Yes, it's a wonderful plan, my Fay, and with this plan, we can take full advantage of the Mirror of Wisdom. We can use it to keep track of Alpha Ross."
One hour later
"Where are we again?" I asked as I stopped in front of another abandoned building.
"This is the place," Alpha Clause answered me. He, Alpha Nathan, Carter and I were standing in front of the large metal door in the middle of the wall, it was in the shadows behind some trees.
Alpha Mason, Alpha Sloan and Luna Kat have gone around to block the front road while Alpha Wyatt, Luna Ashley and Luna Kasey went around to block the back road like we had planned.
"Who owns this place?" Carter asked as he stared up at the tall brick walls surrounding us. "Do you think there's any kind of security system?"
"No idea who owns this place." Alpha Clause answered his first question with a shrug of his shoulders.
"This isn't exactly the safest neighborhood and that's probably why he came here to hide." I replied to him as we entered the abandoned building.
"Look what's in that window," Carter pointed out as he motioned toward the building next to ours. A group of people were coming out of the building across the street carrying bags and boxes. They must have been on their way home from work or something. That building didn't look abandoned at all.
"Why didn't you tell us that there were people right next door to Alpha Ross's new location?" Alpha Nathan asked as he looked over at Alpha Clause.
"Because it didn't appear in the mirror. Sorry about that, man." He answered him with a small frown on his brows, seeming conflicted too.
"Never mind, never mind. So, how do we get in?" Alpha Nathan asked as we saw another door inside the building.
"There's a keypad beside the door." Carter qnswered as he took out his phone. "Once we enter the code, we should be able to unlock the door."
"How do you know the code?" I asked as I watched him type in the numbers.
"We don't know." Alpha Clause replied to me as he glanced at me with a sheepish smile on his lips.
"So how are we going to get inside? And are you sure that he's still in there?" I asked him, feeling anxious.
He nodded as he gave me a reassuring smile, "Yes, don't worry, Fay, but I can ask the mirror again now to be sure."
"Okay, honey." I answered him as I watched him take out the mirror from the traveling bag in Carter's hand.
He held the mirror in front of us while Carter tried to hack into the security system using his phone. "Where is Alpha Ross?"
The mirror changed from his reflection to show the outside of the abandoned building that we were in then zoomed in to show us standing in front of the door and finally into the building where Alpha Ross was sitting on an arm chair as he talked with two of his rogues that were kneeling before him while the others were standing around them. I wondered what they were talking about just as the image faded to show my Alpha mate's very hot reflection.
"You see, baby, he's still in there and he's completely relaxed because he has this coded security system." Alpha Clause reassured me as he pushed the mirror back inside our traveling bag that was now beside Carter's foot.
"Yeah, I believed you even before you showed me through the mirror, honey." I replied to him with a large grin on my face.
"He probably thinks that we can't crack it." Alpha Nathan commented as he shook his head.
A clicking sound echoed and Carter grinned as he exclaimed, "It's been opened!"
"Let's go in!" Alpha Clause said in a firm voice as Carter quickly pushed his phone back in his pocket then pulled the door open.
We all got ready to fight and rushed in to see a shocked look on Alpha Ross's face along with his rogues. He stood up from his arm chair abruptly, his shaved head gleaming under the light as his green eyes gleamed with such wickedness. He looked angry as his jaw clenched as well as his hands. Glaring at us, he growled, "How did you find us?!"
Seeing his shock meant that his spy probably owed the other team instead of us and that was why he didn't know that we were coming this time. Alpha Clause glared at him as he growled back, his growl resonating through the walls, "It doesn't matter, but you're definitely going down right now!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the rogues shifted into their wolf form and jumped at us while Alpha Ross jumped at Aloha Clause as they both shifted into Lycan form. I also shifted into my wolf form alingw ith Alpha Nathan and Carter.
