Chapter 46: Chapter 46

As soon as the sun started rising up, we continued through the Forbidden Forest right after snacking for breakfast. Since we were deep in the forest, we didn't expect any more trouble, especially since we didn't get any more attacks from morning to afternoon. I really hoped that we have passed the dangerous parts of the forest.

All of a sudden I heard a voice call my name, "Fay!"

I turned around along with everyone to see a leprechaun with blond hair, dwarf height and green pants with green shirts and a green pointy hat. He was standing there with am evil grin on his face. I knew that if we didn't do something quick, he would attack us as he started rushing towards me along with the other evil looking leprechauns, so I shifted into my wolf and attacked him. He dodged my attack and laughed as he ran away, laughing all the way until he ran toward a small forest path where he could hide before we would find him.

"I'll get him!" I yelled as I ran after him still in wolf form while the other Alphas and Lunas kept fighting off the rest of the leprechauns. I had no idea how he knew my name or why he singled my name out.

When I caught up to him, I noticed his green hat from the top of the bushes which meant that he was hiding behind it. He seemed to sense my presence and jumped out of the bushes. He tackled me to the ground, strangling me with his little hands that were surprisingly strong, but I used my wolf's hind legs to throw him off me. He didn't try to run as I tackled him this time because I was much bigger than him and he knew that he couldn't escape.

With my sharp teeth barred, I bit his arm and he yelped out in pain and then tried to bite me back. As his sharp teeth clamped onto my shoulder, I howled in pain and pulled back. I turned around to see the other werewolves who were also fighting the leprechauns fall into a hole in the ground that appeared all of a sudden. As my brows furrowed in confusion while trying to figure out what was going on, I was pushed from behind. I also fell into a hole which appeared at that moment, my head hit the wall and everything went black.

When I opened my eyes again, I realized that I was staring at iron bars which meant that we were inside a large cage. A frown fell on my brows as I sat up abruptly, looking around. Alpha Clause looked relieved to see me awake as he and the others stared at me. He stepped closer to me and extended his arm to me, "Here, let me help you up."

"What happened? How did we get caged?" I asked him in curiosity, worry and panic.

"No idea, we all blacked out as soon as we fell into that hole." He answered me as he looked worried.

"Then why haven't we escaped yet? We can just break the cage." I said as I started walking closer to the cage.

"Don't touch it, baby, the cage is coated with wolfsbane. That's why we haven't been able to escape." He answered me as he reached his hand out to stop me, looking even more worried.

I turned around to face him, looking shocked, "Woah! I never even thought that Leprechauns existed or that they are this evil to capture us and place us in a wolfsbane cage."

"They really are, and they eat humans, so that's probably what they're going to do to us." Alpha Mason said as he rubbed a hand over his face in frustration.

Alpha Nathan nodded as he added with a frown, "And that's more reason why we can't just sit here. We need to escape right now before they eat one of us."

Alpha Clause nodded his head in agreement. "That is true. But we can't just run around outside either even if we're able to escape this Godforsaken cage. They might catch us again using a weapon coated in wolfsbane."

"I don't know what to do," Alpha Nathan said, looking frustrated as he ran a hand through his brown hair. "I have never been trapped like this before."

Luna Kasey looked at him and smiled playfully as she said in a teasing voice, "You've never been trapped by leprechauns?"

He stared back at her for a few seconds as if he didn't understand why she was being playful in such a situation. Then he laughed, "Yeah, that's pretty much it."

"So what are you saying?" Alpha Wyatt asked Alpha Clause, "Should we stay in the cage? Should we try to find another way out?"

We heard footsteps coming our way and we turned to see one of the leprechauns, the one with blonde hair that called my name stop in front of the cage. He grinned mischievously as he crossed his arms and asked us in a tone that seemed like we were old friends, "What are you guys doing?"

"Talking about how to escape." Luna Kat muttered then rolled her eyes and added, "Duh, since you already heard us from wherever you were hiding."

"Why would you want to escape?" he asked us as if he was a psychopath.

I scoffed as I narrowed my eyes at him, not trusting him, "Why wouldn't we want to escape? Why did you trap us and how do you know my name?"

"So many questions, Luna Fay. I don't think that I can answer them all." He muttered in a playful voice as if we weren't his prisoners.

His calm and playful demeanor made anger bubble inside my chest as I clenched my hands into fists. Before I could reply, Alpha Clause growled as he stepped closer to the Leprechaun through the cage, "Answer her questions and let us go now!"

He shrugged his tiny shoulders and shook his head as he tried to hide how scared he was under a playful demeanor.
