His gaze dropped down to my bottom lip that was still in a pout and pinched it between his thumb and index finger as he murmured in his sexy deep voice, "Now, stop pouting or I'm going to take you straight to our room and have my way with you right now."
His sexy threat made desire pool in my tummy and I quickly pulled my lips away as my face flushed in a blushing mess which made him look amused. He dropped his face closer to mine and pressed a soft kiss on my lips. As he pulled back, I couldn't help, but smile as his alluring eyes captured mine, "Thanks for agreeing, honey."
He nodded, his dark gaze flashing amber and showing that his wolf was pushing to move to the surface and he was fighting him. Looking back at Rachel, he said, "So Fay and I will be leaving tomorrow morning to find the Mirror of Wisdom. We will take a warrior with us which will be Carter and a rogue that will be him beside you, what is your name?"
He asked the last part to the rogue sitting in between Carter and Rachel, and he lifted his shaved head as he answered him with a small smile, "Kaden and he's Zach."
He said the last part referring to the other rogue as he looked over at him. Aloha Clause nodded as he continued, "Alright, you and Carter will be coming with us, and I will inform the other Alphas and find out if they will be coming with us or not."
"Yes, Alpha!" Carter and Kaden at the same time.
Rachel nodded as she replied, "Why don't I come with you too?"
He shook his head as he answered her, "No, I would rather you stay here and help Beta Bailey run the pack and protect it from any attacks from Alpha Ross before we get back."
She drew in a deep breath and let it out as she replied, "Alright, I will do my best guide her."
"Thank you, Rachel. I really appreciate the help." Beta Bailey said to Rachel, looking grateful.
"It is no problem, it is what I should do."
"Alpha! Lunch is ready and already at the dining table!" Harold, the head cook in the pack house said as he walked into the living room from the hallway that led to the dining room.
We all turned to him and Alpha Clause answered him, "Alright, Harold. We will be right there."
He bowed his head and turned around to walk back to the dining room where the other pack members must have gathered for lunch. Alpha Clause turned to us as he said, "We will talk more about this after lunch."
"Yes, Alpha!" The pack members present in the living room answered him and I nodded in response.
The next morning, I woke up to the feeling of Alpha Clause's lips against my neck as he pressed hot kisses on the skin. He let go of me and moved aside as he stared at me while placing his hand over his head with a charming smile playing on his lips. His alluring dark eyes captured my brown ones as he murmured in his velvety deep voice that sounded husky and sexy, "Slept well, my Fay?"
My lips stretched into a wide smile as I nodded, "Yeah, very well, knowing that at least we know what to do next stop defeat Alpha Ross and stop these attacks."
"Speaking of which, when I informed the other Alphas about what's going on and the journey that we're going to make this morning, they all said that they have to come with us." He said to me as he stretched his hand out to caress my cheek.
I felt my breath hitch at his touch, but forced myself to breathe as I replied, "That's wonderful because we need them since they're so powerful like you and the Forbidden Forest is known to be deadly like you explained."
"Yes, I believe so too. They will be arriving in around thirty minutes and we will leave then." He murmured as he moved his hand to my dark hair and ran his fingers through it, his gaze following the movements of his hand.
However, he moved his hand back to my face as his thumb caressed my bottom lip, making me blush as I asked, "So we have only thirty minutes to shower, get ready and eat before we leave?"
He nodded his head as he stared at my lips for a while, his breathing deepening before taking his hand back from my face. He dragged his gaze back up to mine as he answered me with a teasing smile on his lips, "Yeah, and well, we can shower together to save time."
My blush deepened as my heart raced and I felt my tummy tighten with desire at the thought of being in the shower with him and making love with him under the drizzling water. I drew in a deep breath and let it out as I replied, "Okay, let's do it."
Alpha Clause looked pleased and aroused that I agreed as he grinned. He sat up on the bed and picked me up bridal style as he climbed out of the bed, making me squeal in surprise and excitement as I wrapped my arms around his neck loosely, not wanting to fall. He chuckled in his velvety deep voice, sending delightful shivers through my body as he made his way to the bathroom door.
He glanced at me as he murmured in his sexy voice, "Don't worry, baby, I've got you."
And I knew that he did, he wouldn't let me fall nor let me down both in the physical and emotional sense.
After we were showered, dressed, eaten breakfast, we made our way out of the house with Carter and one of the rogues. Carter was holding our white traveling bag along with his brown one while Kaden had a black backpack strapped onto his shoulder. They must have gone back to the cottage to pick up his and Zach's clothes.
