I was having a long and satisfying make-out session with my mate until a pack warrior of mine burst in nervously through the door telling me about the intruders at the pack border.

And now I trudged down the pathway quickly as pack members followed behind us as if they were expecting a battle of some sort. But they were not going to expect a battle because I was going to teach that bastard all a lesson.

The rain had told me they had been planning to give me a surprise attack today and all the dark magic powers they were planning to use and he was worried and restless, so I did what I had to do and shut him up with a kiss.

Those bastards thought they were strong enough to defeat me, they had no idea what I have installed for them, not that I had something plan down or written in a paper, but with all my newly found abilities I was feeling pretty confident.

I had no idea what I was going to face at the border and I wasn't worried, but apparently, it was serious enough for my mate to look kind of frightening and all the pack members looking scared like they were all close to pissing on their pants.

The look on Rain's face was fierce, like a true Alpha, even though he was a little scared for my life on the inside, his head was standing tall and proud on the outside.

I felt sorry for whoever dared try to cross my border because they were done for making my mate worry.

Especially since they interrupted our moment of making out. I will make sure their death were slow and painful.

Rain pulled away from my hand as we walked out of the packhouse to the border territory, I sensed that Rain was doing this because he felt his 'protect-my-mate' instinct kick in.

His beta Andrew and Christabel together with Ethan and Sofia walked behind us.

We got closer to my pack border and All the alphas including the asshole Jaxon whose ass I beat the last time stood about a distance from us. He looked like was all their leader as he stood in the middle.

"Leave before you all die." Rain growled out harshly, cutting straight to the point.

Alpha Jaxon gave him a small smile and raised his hands innocently as if to show he meant no harm.

"Alpha rain. I come in peace. I'm not here for you I'm here to kill that bitch by your side so just step aside and hand her over, I will take it from there. " He said and the other Alpha's by his side nodded their head in agreement.

The rain didn't seem fazed by the man's soft-spoken words. Instead, he got furious at what the man said about coming to kill me, I could feel how angry he was through our mindlink.

"Drop the hands, Jaxon you are not here for peace but war and I will never allow you to kill my mate while I'm alive, you will have to go through me first." my mate said with a clenched fist, his eyes were shifting from black to gray showing he was fighting his wolf from taking over and was very close to shifting.

" Your mate? , well I definitely didn't see that coming, so you deceive us all and pretended to be against that bitch and now you knew our plan, since you are so stubborn I have no other option than to go through you, don't worry you will thank me later. "he said growling.

I stepped out forward from behind my mate since he wanted to act as my guard, this wasn't the fight of my mate but mine. This man was evil, he smelled dark magic all around him.

There was a chorus of gasps and growls from the pack members as Rain's glare deepened. He let out a growl, warning the Alpha Jaxon to beware.

Jaxon raised an eyebrow in amusement, "there's nothing you can do Rain to save this bitch, she's not meant to be an alpha, so hand her over and I might be generous to spare you life."

Now it was my turn to be amused by how confident the idiot was, while all the other pack members stood in shock, as we stared at the thousands of army soldiers behind him.

The rest alphas with him were not saying anything but stood by his side. I could see them having mixed feelings about all Alpha Jaxon plans through their mind. Alpha Jaxon wanted me dead but they didn't.

"You have only a minute to surrender your mate choose wisely," he bellowed, growling loudly near to us.

With that, he turned around and his soldiers transformed into flying large birds squawking, coming towards our direction.

I noticed Rain shaking with anger in front of me and placed a hand between his shoulder blades to calm him down.

"Calm down, Rain I will handle this trust me," I whispered gently in comfort whispering sweet nothing into his ear.

He gave me a sad smile still not knowing what I'm capable of doing.

"Come back alive?" he said grey beautiful orbs boring into my large green ones.

"I will,” I said and left where he stood together with the pack members

"Enough of all your lovely dovely bullshit, are you all ready to die."

"No, but are you prepared to die."

"I like your confidence woman trust me you will need more than confidence to win this war. "he said evilly.

"I know, that’s why I have magic." With that I concentration on using my energy, I focused my brain and imagine fire coming out to my mouth and destroying all the large birds in the air that were getting too close to my pack members.

I opened my eyes and saw all the birds on the ground burning.

"H..o..w..how did you do that. "he said with wide eyes making me smirk. I could see his confidence slowly sweeping away.

"Magic, now ten thousand more to go. "I said.

I used my flying powers and flew up to the air where I could see the rest of his evil creatures all at once and froze them up then burnt them to ashes.

I could do this all day.

"How did you do this. "he asked in confusion, I could feel more dark energy clouding his heart.

"That's for me to know and for you to never find out." With that, I ran closer to him and tore out his throat with my claws.

I turn to look at the rest of the Alphas who were shaking in fear.

"Please don't kill us." They begged pathetically.

"I won't but, this may hurt a little," I said to them then close my eyes in concentration and wipe away all the evil from their heart and mind making them fall to the ground.

Soon I heard different cheers and claps from my pack members in happiness at the won we just won. I turned back to look at event one, Christabel and Sofia shouting my name but my eyes were more focused on my mate who had a surprising look on his face.

A majority of them after singing and congratulating me turned around to walk back to the pack, while a few of them were reluctant to leave. I saw them eye me for a little long wanting to talk to me, but Rain's growl sent them rushing down the path with the others.

I saw Christabel and her mate together with Ethan and his leave discreetly after each of them giving me a soft smile which I returned.

I walked closer to my mate who did not move to move. I swallowed hard and licked my drying lips as he stared at them hesitantly.

It was like he was afraid of leaning in and pressing his lips against mine. I decided to take this chance to slowly raise my hands and place them on his chest. I heard his breath hitch as his heart started pounding beneath my fingertips and his eyes darkened as the air around us became tense.

It was like electricity was flowing between us and we had no idea how to control it thanks to the overwhelming mate bond.

The feelings surging between us were just hard to describe. But, for some reason, I was able to recognize the wave of confidence that suddenly washed over me. It felt like something was calling me and it was causing an ache throughout my body.

I stared at his soft pink lips and bit my bottom lip hesitantly. I should just go for it. What could go wrong? Before I could even come up with different scenarios of what could go wrong, I got on my tiptoes and captured his lips with mine.

He was my mate and my to love forever.
