Alpha Rain midnight

I had woken up this morning to the beautiful sight of my mate she was lying naked on the bed with the sheet barely covering her chest and beads of sweats formed on her forehead as prove of our last night activity.

I continued to admire the beautiful damsel in the bed given to me by the moon goddess, my hands ran through her soft skin, from her back, her butt, and to her neck feeling the smoothness and watching her shiver beneath my touch as my hands touch her mark. My mark. We marked each other, claiming ourselves.

"Alpha Rain, the Alpha's are calling for an emergency meeting underground." My beta said interrupting thought mindlink.

What do those assholes want again I thought as I picked some shorts out and transformed into my wolf running from my mate pack back to my pack to the underground.

Before going into the ungrounded, I transformed back into human form putting on the short I carried on and his the scent of my mate so those Alpha's couldn't know Emerald was my mate.

My grandfather always say this keep your friends close and your enemy closer and that was what I did throughout the meeting.

As I got there all the Alphas were present including Alpha Jaxon who had a sour look on his face.

I took a seat on my chair, I had to pretend to listen as they all plot to end my beautiful mate's life like I was in support and held my growl when all those assholes and sorry excuse for an alpha planned one thousand ways to kill my mate.

So now I knew their plans, they were going dirty with their plan using spiritual power given to them by the witches.

I had no power, how was I going to defend my mate and protect her from those evil bastard's, yes I may have all the army in the world but there wouldn't stand a chance against theirs.

"We could always look for a witch who is ten times stronger than theirs."

"You know that's impossible and where are we going to get one in this short period."

"You are right we are doomed and our mate is too." My wolf whimpered.

The witch had given the Alpha's soldiers some magical spell to use against my mate. Those bunch of assholes was so confident about my mate dying finally, and I was this close to snapping their neck.

Maybe I and my mate could run away like a coward and live in the human world like humans because that was the only way to survive. We don't stand a chance when dark magic was involved.

Fuck our Alpha's position, I could care less about being the Alpha king when I wasn't strong enough to defend my mate.

How was I going to tell Emerald the news, I know she will be scared.

This was all my fault, I had been the whole leader, I have made so many mistakes in my life that are now turning out to be so hurtful and harmful to my mate.

"Beta, the alphas are requesting your presence again for the conclusion into attacking alpha black pack. "My beta said looking as exhausted as I was.

"Not again. Ok I will be right there"

I walked to the underground for the second time today, they were all seated like before with evil grins on their face.

"Alpha we have made our final decision, we will be attacking tomorrow." Alpha Jaxon said and all other alphas nodded their head in support.

I had nothing to say if I contradict them and try to get them to change their minds it will look suspicious.

"Ok, very well then, see you tomorrow," I said to them with fake smiles and left my beta following behind me to my office.

I let out a long frustrating sigh, what was I going to do, they were going to attack and kill my mate.

"What are you going to do about this Alpha Rain?. “Andrew asked, I could tell he was also worried on my behalf. He knows how important a mate is, he was marked and mated just like me.

"Want do you think Andrew, what will you do in my position, if some bunch of idiot wants to kill your mate, will you run like a coward and save your mates life or will you stay like a fool and fight a battle you know fully, you will lose and your mate will end up dying. "I said to him as I stood up from my seat staring at my pack lands and everything I has ever acquired. It may be the last time I see them all.

"I don't know Alpha, but If I were you, I will ask my mate for her opinion since she is more involved in this and also my equal."

"You are right. "I said turning around to face him. It was times like this I was grateful to have him by my side.

Emerald could help me think and maybe she will agree to run away with me.

"Thanks, Andrew, I will be going to meet my mate, you are in charge," I said to him, patting his back, and sprinted out of my office to my mate's pack.

I followed her scent which lead me to her own house, the living room but her scent was stronger coming from the kitchen direction.

I entered the kitchen and my mate was quick to notice me and walk up to me with happiness but the look on her face change when she saw my face filled with sadness.

"What is it, Honey." She said to me in worry once I got closer to her. I wanted to do nothing more than hug the life out of her.

" Emerald I have bad news. ”I said not meeting her eyes, I called her by her name so she knows something was wrong.

" How bad is this news?. "she asked worriedly biting her lips I wanted to kiss but I knew now wasn't the right time.

How do I tell her the Alpha's wanted her head and I as her mate couldn’t do anything to protect her, will she agree to run away with me.

"Talk already, if you are tired of me just say it and stop beating around the bush. "she said almost in tears, taking me by surprise .why would she think I don't want her?.

"What the hell are you talking about why will I want to end things with you. "

" Then what do you want to tell me. "she asked.

" The Alpha's are planning an attack to have your head by tomorrow. "I said this time I was the one biting my lips in nervousness waiting for her reaction. Her face became relaxed making me more confused than I have ever been in my life.

" Oh, thank the moon, I thought it was something serious. "she said with a soft smile.

"Emerald, I'm being serious, they are using dark magic, with dark magic there's nothing we could do ."

"Well baby did I forget to tell you I am the queen of dark magic. "she said and for the first time, I saw an evil look in her eyes.
