"Baby. "My mate called me entering our room in my packhouse. We decided it will be best if we both lived together though we haven't decided where will be best to stay his pack or mine we both sleep together it doesn't matter where the only thing more important is being together.

I was brushing my hair looking at the mirror but from the mirror, I could see his reflection, the nervous expression on his face making me drop the brush on the table and turn around.

"Yes, honey," I said giving him a large smile.

He scratched the back of his head and chuckled nervously, "This is a lot harder than I thought it would be and this is not the best place to do this but-." he paused running his hands through his hair.

"What is it? are you ok? what do you mean this is not the best time and place to do this? What do you want to do? "I said in a rush worriedly to him, standing up to meet him.

He swallowed hard, "Remember how when we first met apart from the day in the forest, the day we were both standing in our pack field after your fight with that asshole, I told you all those nonsense words in front of everyone. "

"Yes? How can I forget when you said to go to my room, spread your legs and wait for me, then I'm done with this meeting meant for Alpha's male I will call you" I trailed off almost rolling my eyes as I remember those words he said but I was still trying to understand what he was getting at. The past was now in the past.

"Ok, ok, I know you won't forget," he said and I let out a chuckle.

" But right now I won't mind spreading my legs for you..you know, "I said teasing him but deep down I was feeling very horny just from hearing his voice alone.

He licked his lips and took my other hand in his as well, making my heart skip a beat. There were so many possibilities racing through my head, but I kept my mouth shut so he could finish whatever he was planning on saying. He let out a short snort and shook his head, "I don't know what I was thinking. ? I and those alpha were just jealous because a female wolf was the second strongest in the werewolf world and it was an insult to all our ego. I knew you could defeat me for the number one position if you tried but you wanted to keep your life low-key that's why you never wanted to come for the number one position. So the day I knew the beautiful mate I met in the Forest who I was planning to tame was my mate, I was furious. I didn't even realize tears were filling my eyes until Rain's face became blurry.

"You're not supposed to cry yet, I didn't even ask you the question," he said as he noticed the tears that were about to overflow. I gave him a watery grin and shook my head, "Then get to the point, you asshole."

He chuckled and traced his thumbs over my knuckles, "I will, but let me finish. I still have a lot to say. But anyway, back to what I was saying before. After we kissed the night in the forest, I realized that if anything ever happened to you..." he trailed off and swallowed hard, "I would never forgive myself. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me and I fucked it up by being a stubborn asshole who was selfish and care nothing more than power and his ego."

He looked me in the eye and gave me a small smile, "I used to think my mate would worship me, but I was completely wrong. You've managed to get me on my knees. You know I killed my father for this same reason for being a control freak to my mum and now that was what I was trying to me, I almost took his footstep and I'm sure if you didn't reject me and bring me back to my right senses my mother where ever she is will be shaking her head in shame."

He paused to exhale deeply and clear his throat, "Emerald, will you be my mate? Officially?"

"Yes," I choked out and wrapped my arms around his neck as he swept me into a passionate kiss.

There was nothing that could match this feeling of euphoria as we stood there in each other's arms.

I buried my face into my pillow and mentally sighed as someone's hand ran through my hair gently. So this was what heaven felt like. My life would have been over if my mate truly rejected me and I not being quick enough to save her my mating and marking her. My ego and foolishness would have been the end of me.

"Rain, can you stop grabbing my ass," An amused voice asked, making me crack an eye open. A small smirk formed on my face when I realized where my hands were. I kissed the top of her hair and smiled at the familiar scent. My mornings were always better when I woke up with her in my arms.

It reminded me that there was a reason why I wanted to wake up every morning- so I could see her face every day.

"I wish I could lay all day in your arms" She muttered, her lips brushing my neck with every word. I bit the inside of my bottom lip to keep myself from kissing her senselessly and decided to squeeze her ass.

She lifted her head and frowned, "Are you not tried Rain, we spent three fucking hours making love? "I cocked my head and gave her an innocent look.

"Do you want a child," she asked, tangling her fingers in my hair and pulling my head up.

"Great, because I finally found all my energy and we can start practicing to make a baby all night."
