Rain midnight

An earth-shaking growl sounded loud around the whole field causing a terrifying shiver down everyone's spine, including mine. The sound resonated and rumbled from my mate's chest. How powerful is she and I wolf, it was terrifying.

"I probably shouldn't have said that, "I thought inwardly to myself.

"Yes you probably shouldn’t, you should have shut your big mouth. I always tell you it is better close." my wolf said adding more salt to my inflated injured ego. At a speed of light emerald came to me her hands gripping my collar and my hands subconsciously landed on her butt, it feels so soft I couldn't avoid the temptation of giving it a light squeeze.

"I will spare your life just this once mate but next time, I won't take it so likely with you." My mate whispered close to my ear in an audacious tone.

I would have felt threatened and taken her more seriously especially with the flame in her eyes, I was too busy getting turned on by how hot she was with her blazing green eyes.

" Is that a threat honey?. I said to her still cupping her butt, I was almost tempted to do something I was going to regret which was kissing her. You won't blame me her lips were looking so red and inviting, dear moon goddess, my mate was beautiful.

I had almost called her mate but I had to be careful with my words especially with the other pissed-off Alpha's so close to us. I don't want them to suspect she was my mate, so they could still put all their trust in me.

She didn't reply to me, only glaring at me, then using her hands to slap my hands away from her ass and put some distance between us. A frown graced my face at her actions, she was mine and so was her butt and every other part of her body was mine also.

She turned her face to the red-haired lady with blue eyes who I was guessing was her second in command the beta and my own beta's mate and also a lady I couldn't recognize who guessing was also another high-ranking pack member of hers.

I continue watching my mate talk to her pack members, I could now feel how superior she was. Her shoulder was raised in confidence, her arms clasped behind her body, head lifted, chest out, standing tall.

I won't lie and say she didn't possess the qualities of a true leader, a true Alpha. It was a bitter truth.

"Alpha Rain the other alpha is calling you for a meeting in the underground. They said it's an emergency, "my beta said through the mindlink.

It's about time.

"Tell them to be patient, I will be right there," I told my beta to close the mindlink.

I saw this coming, I know there will be questions after questions on how to wipe out Alpha Black and her pack. I can let them kill my mate. I have to come up with a fast plan.

I gave one look at my mate who was already walking away with the rest of her pack members without giving me a second glance, I let out an impatient sigh and internally blame the moon goddess for giving me a tomboy as my mate.

The evening sun cast long shadows on the ground. The slanting rays of the setting sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky.

It was already too late to have any meeting and what had happened earlier I was sure no one was going to want to say inside the meeting with Alpha Black.

"Go fast rain, you have to make sure the invisible sliver is not anywhere close to emerald, or else we are doomed forever," I said in a worried tone.

Shit, I forgot about that.

"That's true I have forgotten about that. The poison can kill once taken into the system and there is no cure."

I ran as fast as my legs to the underground even going as far as pushing people away from my way. I got to the room and it was intense. Tension was everywhere, all the Alphas were fuming, I could see the guards retreating from the powers all the alpha were executing.

"Enough." I boomed using my alpha king voice, there all bow in acknowledgment and stopped all their endless chatters.

I forgot to mention I was the alpha king. Yes, I was the leader of all Alpha making me the king so what I say goes. Being the leader will give me some power to at least prevent my stubborn but gorgeous mate from dying.

"Alpha she needs to die immediately, no more time to waste especially after what she did to Alpha Jaxon." Alpha cane said he was a very close friend and ally to Alpha Jaxon so it was understandable why he wants to revenge on his friend.

"Yes alpha, I don't know why we are still waiting time she must die now." Alpha jack said with a clenched fist.

"Enough, "I shouted running my hands through my hair down my face. Just yesterday I was in support of ending her life but now that she was my mate, I was cut between a rock and a hard place.

" No one is dying, what happened to alpha Jaxon was all his fault, how will he stoop so low and fight a woman, that wasn't the plan so he deserves everything that happened to him. The plan was to poison her not disgrace ourselves so I suggest we put this whole plan on hold until the whole drama of alpha Jaxon embarrassment dies down ." I said to them using my alpha voice, I could see them trying to resist it but it was of no use.

" Jaxon went against the plan and he his paying for the consequences so there's nothing I can do about that."

" This is even the more reason we should speed up the plan, now she is going to think she is invisible and project us as weak males. “Alpha dox said slamming his hands on the table. Alpha's are known for their impatience and arrogance so am I.

" Like I said let us wait, I will handle this matter myself just give me some time," I said with standing on my ground.

I had to buy enough plans and come up with a plan, the Alpha's right now were greedy and the thirst for emerald my mate's blood was high. I have to find a way out of this mess.

"Are you sure Alpha Rain, you don't have any connections with alpha black, you both we're quite close, I saw your hands placed on her butt as it belonged there?" Alpha cane said giving me a hard look.

Shit, I forgot about that.

"There's nothing between us for now, but soon when I tame her. if I don't kill her eventually, she will be like the rest of my submissive she-wolves. And next time don't question my business because it's surly none of your busy." I said back to him, returning his hard glare with a much harder one of my own.

"Yes, Alpha Rain." He said, but I could still see some doubt in his eyes. I had to be fast with my plan before they all found out she's my mate.

"Now who is with the invisible sliver."

"I, Alpha Rain." Alpha cane said carefully dropping the little bag that held the sliver beside me.

"Good, now I will get back to you all when I find a way to settle this. You are all dismissed." I said to them all standing up from the chair to go back to my room.

" Alpha Rain." My beta said through our mindlink, he sounded so distressed.

" Yes, what is it," I asked thanks to my wolf speed I was out of the underground walking to my mansion. "It's Alpha Black," he said making me stop on my track.

"What happened to her?"

"She's leaving."
