I, Christabel, and chole got back to my room after all the drama that happened. I was tempted to go back to my mate and continue what we started last night.

"I can't believe I got dressed up for nothing. Christabel said making herself comfortable on my bed.

"Yeah me too, at least your mate saw you in a beautiful dress unlike alpha black and I who are mateless, so we were the ones who got dressed for nothing. Chole said pulling her heels and joining Christabel to lie on the bed.

" Speaking of mates, I'm sure chole you will find yours soon so be patient and Alpha Black found her mate yesterday last night. “Christabel said in happiness and chole clapped her hands together with a big smile on her face.

"So have you seen him again after last night, “Christabel asked watching me walk to the mirror. I let out a sigh as I pulled out my earrings off my ear.

"Alpha black you have found your mate? Who is he, how does he look like, I'm so happy for you, Alpha.

“chole said giggling like a high school student who was high on Crank.

He is the biggest asshole there ever.

" No, I haven't found my mate, I realized that last night was only a fragment of my imagination and desperation in getting a mate" I lied to them giving a half shrug. There was no way I was telling them I have a mate, or who he was.

"But you were so sure,” she said and rubbed her hands together probably trying to remember our discussion earlier. Chole sat there looking at both of us in pure confusion about what Christabel was saying.

She pointed her hands at me" you said you didn't find him but he was the one who found you, I can remember exact words." I rested my hands on my hips in frustration then turn around to face her. Leave it to Christabel and her awesome beta memory.

"I was mistaken Christabel so let's drop the topic right now..ok, I'm not in the mood."

" But, I need to know I'm your best friend and beta so it's my duty. “she insisted, while I run my hands through my air in frustration.

" I will tell you everything later when the time is right but not now, I need a shower and a run right soon after so I will be back."

How can I tell her I was mated to Alpha Rain, who wants to kill me. I have to reject him soon before he kills me faster than when I am supposed to die.

I went into my closet and change out of the ripped dress, tossing it into the bin. As I changed out of my dress the girls were discussing how awesome I was during the fight.

I knew after that fight there will likely be a war but thankfully unknown to the Alpha's I was a little bit prepared, some of my pack warriors were hiding in a discreet manner outside the midnight pack border.

I walked out of the dressing room and hurriedly took a shower to wash off the dirt from my body then I walked back into the dressing room to change into some shorts and t-shirts. I walked out eagerly feeling anxious to go for a run and saw that Christabel and chole were still sitting on my bed.

"Alpha I forget to congratulate you for your fight you were truly awesome even though you ended up with a few broken bones," Chole said as she stood up from the bed stretching and yawning.

"Thanks, Chole,” I said back to her and she gave me a small smile leaving the room to me and Christabel.

"Alpha Rain is your mate isn't it, that’s why you don't want to say anything."

" No, he isn’t, what makes you say that."

" Well for starters his hands were placed on your butt and very comfortable may I add,” she said with raised eyebrows, I shifted my gaze away from her face. She was acting like my mom right now.

"I'm going for a run Christabel we will talk later, "I said not meeting her eyes, and walked past her. "Should I come with you?"I heard her say from behind me.

" No I only need to be alone and clear my head, that's all." I turned my head around to give her a forced smile and walked out of the door slamming it shut.

I walked out of the building, it was getting darker.

I lifted my face, letting the light and shadow dance across my skin. I inhaled its minty smell and continued, delighting in the sound of my feet sliding through the leaves.

Thankfully with my powers, my cloth wouldn't get ruined again, or else I will be more pissed off tonight, for ruining to clothes.

I run swiftly to the forest floor. My heavy breathing was seen in the cool winter air.

I love the forest, the smell, the sound, the tastes, the sound, the sight, all of it, from the branches creaking, feet shuffling through detritus, squirrels chattering, leaves rustling, wind whistling around trunks/disturbing the leaves, birds singing, insects humming/ churring, rustle of animals rooting in the underbrush, scrabbling of lizards on tree bark, limbs. I love all of it, this was why I love being a werewolf, you feel so free way to run.

I felt the chill upon my skin as I kept running, I don't know how long and how deep I ran into the forest until I heard voices and sounds running along with me.

I heard their paws on the ground. I heard their heaving breathing as they chased me.

I stopped running and watched them slowly. I examined their movements and shifted back to my human form with my clothes on. I mumbled a curse under my breath and they stopped moving. Can't a girl catch a break?

I heard their bones start to crack as they shift back into their original form naked. There didn't look ashamed of standing naked instead both of them looked surprised at me not standing naked with them.

In their dreams.

They looked at me with pure hate, I couldn't recognize them but I had a feeling they weren't part of the midnight pack and they weren't rogues either.

"So she is the famous Alpha Black, the one we were sent to kill."The skinny wolf said, he has scars all over his body and his dick was short. You won't blame me it was so funny.

"Yes, she is, she is truly beautiful don't you think." The fat one said he was a little blessed in that department but not too much.

" Too bad she has to die, but we can have some fun with her when she is dead.” the skinny guy with short dick said, and both of them argued back and forth on who to have a first go with me. Whoever sent them must be desperate to kill me.

I made use of their distraction as they both check me out and I grab both of their necks and slam them against two trees. They let out a gasp as they tried to take in the air. I let my eyes grow darker as I push harder into the tree.

"I hate to do this but I can't have anyone killing me," I said. I drop one of them and break the first one's neck with my dark magic strength and then swiftly break the other ones.

I knew after this I will be weaker than I was, after a fight with a powerful alpha and now using dark magic, I was her I only have less than two months to leave.

I let out a breath as both bodies fell limp to the ground. I always hated doing that but I can't let anyone kill me. The last time I killed someone was the man who killed my father, and part of me still regretted doing it.

My power was drained and I felt worn out. I was sure by the time I'm back to my room to check how much time I have with the magical hourglass I knew it won't be much.

The packed house was about a mile from here and me being weaker right now in my human form will be impossible to reach.

I felt my wolf begging to be released. It's been a long time she took control of both of us, it has always been me, and right now I was the weak one so I gave in.

I don't like letting her out and she knows that. She loves to play with little insects and other creatures wasting my time.

"Who sent them?.” my wolf said

"This was what that man said to me in the kitchen, he said I wasn't safe here anymore, alpha Rain my mate is trying to kill me. He sent them I was sure of it"

Since he was my mate I couldn't smell the dark energy around him.

"Our mate can't do that. I trust him." She argued.

"I'm sure you do, now take control. Don't do anything foolish wolf" I warned.

I let my wolf come forward and come out of the cage of flesh. She comes out happily and stretches. She rolls around a few times in the dirt and lets her fur get dirty.

"Let's get out of here before their pack comes looking for them," I told her. She quickly stood up and started sniffing.

She turned and started running west. She zipped through the trees. Enjoying the winter find flow through her fur. She was better at tracking our scent back to the pack since she was the actual wolf than me.

We got to the pack right in time and I mindlink Christabel and chole to come to my room.

"We are leaving," I said once they walk into the room to see me packing my bag.

"Isn't it too late for that?" Christabel said.

"No, it isn't. Now go pack your things."
