Rain midnight

Pain. Pain. Everywhere around my body, it was unbearable.

"Make it stop please," I whisper out talking to no one in particular, as I crawled on the ground. Thank God I was alone or else this will be embarrassing, the most powerful alpha crawling on the ground like a newborn baby.

I had been in my room dressing up in my fancy suit to go for the alpha meeting which I knew I was already late for, and I thought to my self why not take your time and look very handsome with some gel on my hair and spray my nice expensive perfume on my body.

Then the pain came suddenly and my fist went through the mirror I had been admiring myself with, smashing it to pieces.

I felt the fear and confusion and anger of someone close to me. Was my beta in trouble or my pack warriors because I didn't have any direct relations of mine alive. Both my parents were dead buried six feet below, I killed my father in cold blood and my mother followed soon after, she couldn't bear the pain of losing her mate and went crazy, thus leading to her death.

I've felt the pain and exhaustion, my skin burning. I clench my fist when my back suddenly feels a stab of pain, what’s going on, something was wrong and I could feel it from the intense pain on my back.

My eyes stare down at the white rug in front of me as I begin to focus on my breathing, willing myself to concentrate on something else, anything that will distract me from this unknown pain.

"I think mate is in trouble we need to save her.” my wolf said howling in pain.

"Trouble. what kind of trouble." The tracker I sent hasn't given me an answer on where my mate was.

"Yes mate is in trouble and we need to save her, the pain we are feeling is that of our mate. She is in trouble now, so get your butt off the floor and go save a mate," he scream like the pain he was feeling was ten times worse than mine.

I stood up with the remaining dignity I had left and walked out of my huge mansion towards the training field, I saw so many people gather around like ants forming a circle, screaming and shouting on top of their lungs and also betting money. Then in front of the crowd, my fellow Alpha's watching the fight happening.

I breathe in and catch the heavenly scent of lavender and honey that my mate gives off and my wolf instantly purrs. I can sense him wagging his tail in excitement to see our mate once more.

When I reach closer to the field which was turned upside down and a large tree fell on the floor, my e yes immediately meet with hers. For a split second her face displays surprise and happiness, but once she notices my stern demeanor her expression slips away, replaced by one that shows unease and confusion. I keep my expression hard and cold, but inside I feel my heart breaking inside my chest and my wolf whimpers, hating that we are causing that frown that is now on her angelic face.

What was going on here, was my mate fighting an alpha? who was she?

She looks like an angel standing there. Though bruised, her skin is flawless ivory and her soft blond curls fan out around her face in a ponytail. Her body was thin but she wasn't skinny with gorgeous curves that I am aching to run my hands over, her dress was torn but she still managed to look very beautiful in a rugged way.

Unfortunately, I can't do that, I can't take her in my arms and hold her tight. Her eyes were a gorgeous green with golden flecks in them. I have never seen eyes like that, she was truly the most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes on.

I clasp my hands behind my back, straightening myself to my full height as I take a step towards her. "What is going on here."

She narrows her eyes at me and mimics my posture, ignoring the pain on her wrists and all over her body. I look down on the ground and I saw Alpha Jaxon lying on the ground like a helpless dead man

"What's it to you? “she said in a cold voice.

"I'm the one asking the questions here, this is my pack, I am alpha Rain and I can get you locked up" mate or not, I announce through clenched teeth as I try to keep my temper in check.

"Yes. But that doesn't mean I have to answer," she states forcefully back.

I take another step closer to her so that she is forced to look up to meet my eyes. "Answer me! What is your damn name?!" I growl using my Alpha voice.

I knew her name, everyone knew, Alpha Emerald Black, but I just wanted to hear her say her name.

"Fuck you, I am an Alpha too, so that stupid tone of yours doesn't work on me Alpha Rain" she spits back and my eyes widen for a split second, surprised that she was not affected by my Alpha aura. Even the guards and crowd had stepped away uncomfortably, but she held her ground and proceeded to curse me without even flinching.

How she had called out my name even in a mocking tone sent a shiver round my body like it was on fire.

"You... are an Alpha” I stutter finally registering the fact she was the woman I wanted to kill today. She was the infamous Alpha black, my mate and I had planned to end her life today. Oh shit.

"Did I stutter pretty boy?" She asked with confidence are eyebrows raised irritating me to the point I was so close to shifting.

I came closer to her here and glare at her, my breathing a bit heavier as I try to keep myself calm. I don't even know why I was angry, was I angry for her being the woman I wanted to kill or at myself for almost ending my beautiful mate life. Why did the moon goddess do this to me, pair me with an Alpha? Something must be wrong, never had it been two Alpha been paired as mates. One of us has to be submissive and the other dominant which of course will be me.

"you can be an Alpha darling, but I wear the pants in the relationship so if I were you I will stop this nonsense and get a reality check ."

With her being the Alpha Black, I couldn't kill my mate, it means I will die from the pain so I couldn't kill myself. I have to find a way to convince all the alpha that she was harmless as a fly but after this whole scenario of her disgracing and kicking Alpha Jaxon ass, I was sure it was going to be hard to change the Alpha's minds about it won't be impossible with my life also on the line.

I was doing this for myself, not for her, if she dies, I die. After this is over I will find a way to turn her into my perfect submissive she-wolf as I do to others.

"Go now to my mansion we will discuss this later, my beta will show you the way," I said and turned around to see some guards pick up Alpha Jaxon from the floor. I noticed that my mate hasn't moved from where she was, I hated disobedience.

"Why are you still standing here staring at me like a clown Emerald? Do what I ask you to do, go to my room, spread your legs and wait for me on my bed. When I am done with these meetings that are meant for strong Alpha males like myself I will meet you ."

An earth-shaking growl sounded loud in the whole field causing a terrifying shiver down everyone's spine, including mine.
