Chapter 14: Chapter 14
Emera black
The atmosphere violently filled with blood-thirsty cheers from pack members a few of those calling out for my blood only Christabel and chole on my side. I could see the other Alpha sitting down in front of the crowd watching like this was a football game.
"Are you sure about this Alpha black you can still back you know, you know you aren't too strong for this?" Christabel said through the mind link, from the sound of her voice to the look on her face I know she was very worried especially with my health. I wasn't strong enough to face a full male Alpha wolf.
"I know but I need to teach these pigs some manners, it I time I do that or else they will continue to think I am weak and this is not about me, I'm fighting for all females out there to tell them to believe in themselves and not let an asshole like this tell them otherwise, and think the only thing there are good for his cooking and warming up their bed, "I said back to Christabel through our private mindlink.
" I wish you all the best alpha black I know you can do it." chole said to me through her mindlink with me. She doesn't know I wasn't really strong enough to face this Alpha who looks like death.
"Thanks, chole," I said back to my Delta.
" Alpha black are you sure-"Christabel said again through the mindlink but couldn't hear all that she was saying as I felt a huge force impact on my body.
Every muscle in my body buzzed, as my back slammed into the tree nearby.
I wasn't prepared and got distracted by my pointless talks with Christabel. The man I was fighting knew this and he took it as an opportunity to have a head start in our fight.
Christabel was right I wasn't strong enough to fight a fellow alpha by my self a healthy one at that, my body may be willing but my flesh was weak.
I landed painfully, grunting behind my wolf mask. I welcomed the pain, the burning sensation that brought a whole different kind of clarity to me. This pain I was sure was worst than death.
"Get up emerald, do this for me, do this for the she-wolves and our mate." My wolf said in encouragement.
"Why don't you do it yourself if it's that easy. I'm the one taking all the pain," I said in pain, barely managing to reply to her.
I jerked my head to the side right on time, a large fist rushing past it a second later. His knuckles rammed into the tree breaking it as he growled in annoyance.
"Come on bitch, show me what you got. I can spare your life and we can take this fight over to my bed with you naked on it." He said cracking his broken knuckles which healed perfectly with his enhanced Alpha healing ability. Lucky bastard, he could heal faster than me, since his wolf unlike mine was perfectly healthy and strong, since I haven't mated my mate yet I was very weak.
"Over my dead body. I spat, spitting out blood from my bruised mouth to his face. He wiped his face and his eyes darken showing that his wolf was on the surface and wouldn't tolerate insults from a mere she-wolf like myself.
"Well, that can be arranged."
My opponent who I learned was Alpha Jaxon from the constant chanting of the crowd. He was a giant who stood with a smirk on his face. The dude was built like a mountain, two hundred pounds of werewolf muscle with a glare that was enough to send any lesser being or wolf running for their dear lives tail between their legs.
But I have been on the receiving end of looks that could kill if there had a chance. Only if I have mated my mate and best his mark, I will be perfectly fine.
From my over thinking I realized I hadn't moved away from him, his foot stuck out my torso, which exploded with pain as the world spin around me making me temporarily blind, the sun lights vanishing as I went sprawling across the floor.
"Fuck," I cursed out loud, clutching the screaming muscles of my stomach. Concentrate.
"Save yourself this embarrassment Black, I can spare your life if you hand over your pack to me and be my mate. I don't want to continue hurting this pretty face of yours,” he said with a look of fake pity licking his lips which said disgust down my spine.
I leaped to my feet, narrowed my eyes at the alpha male in front of me. He was quite attractive I won't deny that but the dark energy surrounding him made it impossible to even like him less think for a second to surrender and be his mate.
I shivered, felt my blood boiling. The pathetic alpha roar rumbled through the air like an animal battle cry. He barreled towards me, a raging bull going after the red cloth. A bit over the top if you ask me if you consider the difference between our sizes and height.
Of course, he knew as did everyone here, to them all I was, was a weak she wolf female and I was already proving them right.
I breathed in, gathering my fury, fueling it into my senses. I was in control here, I was alpha black who was just a little girl that killed a blood-thirsty rogue and ruled her pack. I was strong, not weak, I was invisible and I was proud to be a female, a she-wolf.
Time slowed down, the thud in my chest. The crowd chanted in tune to the beat of an intoxicating melody. I tried to focus on the beast in front of me, I tried to shun all the chanting from the crowd, I could have sworn I saw people bringing out money from their pockets to place a bet on this fight.
Alpha !Alpha !alpha!
My eyes dropped close. Time returned to normal. I raised my arm, caught the punch aimed at my face. I shuddered from the force of the hit, I was going to get a lot of bruises tomorrow, thank the moon I'm a werewolf.
I didn't pause for the pain, fisted my free hands, and pummeled his stomach before he could get in another hit.
It wasn't effective but he staggered back a bit and I was a step behind him, throwing my whole weight into the next fight that but his chest, his bone cracked, and mine too.
I saw it then before it could disappear on his face, fear.
The flash of fear in his eyes. I couldn't hold back the bark of laughter, releasing him from my hold, letting him take a hold of my arms.
Then I held his wrist, twisted it, swinging my feet at his knee, then to his manhood. The impact of my skinner legs against his muscled ones popped another few bones and this time I was choking beneath him and he was on the floor.
I clenched my teeth, feeling the dampness of tears join my sweat-stained face so I straddled him, ignoring the abnormal pain, my foot was twisted. The numbness in it.
I stared down at the alpha the crowd going wild. I raised my face as I saw the big bad alpha lying beneath me. I took a handful of sand and poured it into his mouth.
"Eat sand your piece of shit," I said to him as he groaned in pain.
I stood up from the floor as the Alpha lay on the ground helplessly like a sheep. I could see Christabel and chole running towards me but suddenly the crowd went dead and both Christabel and chole stopped on their track.
"What's going on here."
A scary and powerful voice vibrated throughout the whole field where we had been fighting making everyone instantly freeze on spot. I could see many birds fly away from trees by how frightened the voice was.
And then I heard it, my wolf howling inside my head.
That magical word. The one each of us deeply crave to hear... the word that will absurdly change our existence forever.
“Mate”
I turned around to face the sound of the voice and it was unreal. I blinked twice to make sure it wasn’t a dream.
Mate!
Mate!!
Mate!!!
